예비초등교사의 덧셈과 뺄셈에 관한 교수학적 지식 (Preservice elementary teachers' pedagogical content knowledge of addition and subtraction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비 초등교사의 덧셈과 뺄셈에 대한 교수학적 지식이 어떠한가를 알아보는 것이다. 29명의 예비초등교사가 연구에 참여하였으며 자료는 개방형 답을 하는 질문지를 사용하여 수집하였다. 분석 결과 예비초등교사들은 결과를 구하는 덧셈이나 뺄셈식을 문장제로 표현하는 것에는 능숙하였으나 감수나 가수를 구하는 식을 문장제로 표현하는 것에는 의미론적 구성에 어려움을 나타내었다. 또한 합병과 비교의 상황과 같이 두 집합의 관계에 대한 이해가 매우 부족함을 보여주었다. 교수학적 방법으로는 알고리즘에 의한 절차적 지식을 주로 가지고 있었으며 각 지식들 간의 관계를 이해하는 개념적 지식이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석은 초등교사 양성 대학의 수학과 프로그램 개발에 기초가 될 것이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual conditions of preschool English education, and teachers' and parents' recognition of preschool early English education in Cheonan-city. Recently the importance of English education as an essential means for communication in the whole world is emphasized in our society. That atmosphere makes the elementary schools offer English as a subject in their curriculums, and also many preschool education institutes begin to teach English in their education courses. However before we begin to teach English as a subject in the preschool education, we need to survey the actual conditions of preschools and recognition of teachers and parents. The first part of this study is to survey the theoretical foundations of early English education; 1) the definition of early English education. 2) the situation of early foreign language education in foreign countries. 3) the relationship between the language acquisition and the cognitive development. The second part is to analyze the results of the Questionnaire which was distributed among 86 teachers and 103 parents in Cheonan-city preschools. As a conclusion, some suggestions will be given for the development of early English education in the near future.

압축 종동 예하중이 요추 인대에 미치는 영향과 요통과의 관계 (The Effect of a Compressive Follower Pre-load on the Ligament of Lumbar Spine and the Relationship with Low Back Pain)

  • A noble model of the whole lumbar spine (L1~L5) considering all the passive elements, especially the ligaments of the lumbar spine was developed. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the shear stress of the AVB and the ALL and the effect of a compressive follower pre-load on all ligaments with various motions. The result shows that the shear stress at the AVB and the ALL are positively correlated. This indicates that the shear stress of the ligament can be used an index of low back pain. Regarding the effect of a follower pre-load, contrary to our expectation, the shear stress of the ligaments was not always reduced by applying follower pre-load; flexion was decreased and axial rotation did not change, while extension and lateral bending were increased.

  • 본 연구는 앞서 발표된 '교합이 악구강계 및 전신에 미치는 영향 (I), (II)'에서 연결되는 세 번째 논문으로 교합과 악구강계 및 전신 증상과의 관계를 다루고 있는 다섯 가지 주요 이론 중 두 가지인 Chirodontics, Dental Distress Syndrome and Quadrant Theorem에 관한 내용이다. 앞서 발표되었던 논문과 비슷한 방식으로 각각의 이론에 대한 역사적 배경과 정의, 기본 개념과 치료방법 및 그 한계에 대하여 보고하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of structural expression in the works of Louis I. Kahn. Kahn's main architectural thoughts of 'what it wants to be' and 'how it was done' are important in this research because these statements act as a clue to understand the relationship between structural expression and space. 'What it wants to be' means the essence and existence of architecture and 'how it was done' shows the tectonic of architecture and construction process to enhance its presence. Kahn's emphasis of structural expression stems from the fact that structure is the logical part of whole building system rather than the concealed object for the exterior of buildings. Therefore structure of Kahn's architecture is not a structure only to support building but a mean to express his thoughts in a corporeal way. In Kahn's works, the characteristics of structural expressions are summarized as the visualization of the order in dynamics, construction process, spatial system, and the relationship between structure and light in the space.

현대 과학교육의 동향과 시스템사고 패러다임의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of the Trends of Current Science Education and the System Thinking Paradigm)

  • The purposes of this study are to understand the trends of current science education compared with thinking paradigm and to find the direction of reform in holistic view. It is divided into three parts. Firstly, significant trends of science education during the late 20th century were examined. Secondly, the current society was discussed, particularly focused on the thinking paradigm. Thirdly, the science education trends and thinking paradigms were compared. The results are 1) A major goal of contemporary science education is the scientific literacy, for which the constructivist and STS class are introduced, 2) Thinking paradigm is changing from analytics to systemics, and 3) Compared the current science education and system thinking paradigm, they seem consistent in respect of looking for the whole-part relationship.

  • A bioassay is a test system using a living organism (in whole or in part) to determine the presence or relative potency of chemical substances. The development and uses of bioassay are intimately linked to the discovery and characterization of the major classes of plant hormones. An application of this relationship is helpful for understanding the concept of plant hormones as well as the use of bioassay. And plant bioassay have been development and employed not only for the discovery and characterization of the biological activity of plant growth regulators but also have served several important secondary roles. The ideal bioassay should possess the characteristic of high specificity. great sensitivity. short response time, low cost and ease of obtaining plant material. acceptable ease of manipulation, and minimal space and equipment requirements.

Water Pollution and Economic Growth in Western China

  • Chinese government has implemented the West Development Strategy since 1999 to boost the region's growth and prevent the environmental degradation. Until now, the regional economy and living standard in Western China have been greatly improved, while it also indicated by the State Council that the ecological environment still deteriorated with part improvement, and pressure of water shortage increased. The paper focus on the relationship of GDP per capita and the volume of industrial waste water discharge of all the 12 provinces in Western China from 1989 to 2004, by the expanded EKC model in the cubic form. Results show that they mainly have down trend in the whole sample space but small up trend in the recent years. That means controlling of industrial wastewater discharge is still an important task to be insisted in the Western China.

의성 김씨종택에 있어서 간의 건축적 특성 (The Tectonic Characteristics of ′KAN′ in the head residence of Uisong Kims)

  • The purpose of this study is to explain the tectonic characteristics of 'Kan' which is an unit of composition in the head residence of Uisong Kims. Here, the 'Kan' is assumed as a conceptual framework to organize a house and also a maneuvering tool to control the spatial order with relationship between the whole and the part. Not limited to the simple conceptual aspects, but the interrelated elements such as the site conditions, modules, functions, structure and aesthetic factors. Through the process of the study, the role of 'Kan' is proved to be a tectonic tool for self-regulating architectural order by relation matrix of elements. 'Kan' is not only a fixed measuring tool for functions and material of a house but also a flexible device to control the building composition. 'Kan' is certainly a relative subject for measurement of form, space and aesthetic quality.

스키니 진 착용이 인체생리반응과 주관적 압박감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Skinny Pants on the Physiological Responses and Subjective Pressure)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the relationship between physiological responses including blood flow rate and garment pressure, and the feeling of restrictive tightness associated with the wearing skinny pants as a popular clothing style. Evaluation was based on material type, posture and activity type, and body part location. Five female college students took part in this research. Five kinds of experimental clothes with waist measurements of 66cm were chosen. An analysis of the selected skinny pants demonstrated the degree of the whole looseness was higher in this order: clothing type A>B>D>C, and E with E being knitted cloth. Garment pressure was the highest in the front knee portions and was lowest in the outside thigh region. Garment pressure was highest in this sequence : clothing type C>=D>A>=B>E. In terms of posture and activity types, garment pressure was the highest when research participants were crouching, and was the lowest when standing. The blood flow rate was highest in this order: clothing type E>D>B>A>C. Type C skinny pants impeded blood flow and demonstrated the tightest and most restrictive relationship. Blood flow rate varied depending on the type of movement and was highest in this order: getting up, rowing, kicking, jumping and O-shaped leg posture. The results of subjective pressure evaluation demonstrated that pressure was highest in this order: E>=C>B>A>D. These results suggests the need to improve on the patterns and the material design in the area of the front knees. The degree of the looseness when wearing skinny pants did not always correspond to garment pressure or subjective sensation.
