  • A vertically-walled auto-body part is one of the most difficult stamping parts because of angle change, wall curl, and twisting of the blank after springback as well as fracture and wrinkle. In this study, computational simulations of the vertically-walled auto-body part are carried out focusing on angle change, wall curl, and twisting after springback. Binderwrap blank shape is used in forming analysis for precise initial contacts between punch and blank. An adaptive mesh method is used in springback analysis for precise calculation of bending moments. In springback analysis, the differences of 2 and 3 dimensional analysis are compared and the effects of blank holdig force and friction coefficient are evaluated. In order to verify the validity of simulation results, they are compared with measured ones. The predicted thickness distribution and formed shape are agreed well with those of the measurement. The Predicted springback amount is less than that of the measurement.

  • The silver generation have clothing style of optimal daily life comparing than young generation because they do not participate a specific sport event but daily- life exercise. As the human body ages, the figure of the silver generation shows different body shape because upper body changes to curved figure including the belly and waist part. Therefore, clothing characteristics for the silver generation should be considered with proper function, design and textiles to optimize body movement. This study investigated various exercise types according to motion analysis of the silver generation in order to develop the design of the active T-shirts reflecting the structural properties and providing the optimum exercise circumstance. The results to consider design needs are as followed; As the T-shirts design for the flexible exercise which required frequent movement of upper body such as bending and waist twisting during body stretching, a stretch fabric applied to the waist part considering T-shirts allowance and length to make extreme elongation and support for well-fitting appearance of the T-shirts. As the T-shirts design for the instantaneous reactionary exercise, high elastic four-way stretch fabric is applied to the part of arm hole to optimize skeletal and muscle movement for entire body and arm work. As the T-shirts design for the endurance exercise such as climbing, cycling, and walking, the shoulder line of the back part has cutting line allowance to make optimum movement of the upper body but no change of the waist part.

First part includes seven subgroups composed of five rats and second part fourteen subgroups composed of six rats each. In the first part of this study forty weanling male rats, aged 40${\pm}$5 days were fed by fermented wheat bran diet for seven weeks. In second part of this study 90 male weanling rats were fed by rice and soybean diet supplemented by fermented wheat bran. In the first part of this study food consumption rate of fermented group showed higher than standard group but the former group is lower than the later in the body weight gains. In the second part of this study, rice groups showed same trend of the result of the first part, but soybean groups did not go along with the result of rice group. In regard to body nitrogen retention rate, fermented wheat diet group showed higher than the standard group in the first part of this study. In the second part of this study rice diet groups revealed same result as that of the first part of this study but soybean diet did not give the same result in this respect. There was no significant difference in organ weight in all experimental groups but devided by 100 gram of body weight, the reverse is true in compare with body weight gains. Hematological investigation did not show the significance in both experimental and standard groups of the first and the second studies. It is conclusion of this study that rice which is inferior to soybean in protein quality, increases the rate of supplementary effect by fermented wheat bran in all respects of this study.

  • Discomfort glare from windows is an important issue in window and daylighting design. This study aims to investigate the effect of luminance difference between the lower and the upper part of a large glare source. Experiments were conducted using a luminous body divided into two parts, the upper part and the lower part. The degree of discomfort glare from the luminous body was examined. The result shows that the part with lower luminance is perceived as a glare source when the part has higher luminance then the background luminance. The degree of discomfort glare was estimated for the experimental conditions, and compared to the observations. The estimation was made using two methods: one summed the glare sensation for each section, and the other used the average luminance of the whole luminous body. The result of the comparison shows that the method using the average luminance has approximate values to the observations. Consequently, the use of the average luminance was proposed for evaluation of discomfort glare from non-uniform large glare sources.

  • In Korea, only a few wooden pagodas are extant because some wooden pagodas were lost due to artificial environment like war. Fortunately, only Eight Depictions Hall(Palsangjeon) in Beobjusa temple and main hall of Ssang-Bong Sa the main temple are extant. Though main hall of Ssang-Bong Sa the main temple shows old style in construction and outstanding creativity, survey and investigation for the hall have been poor. Accordingly, this study investigated pillar part, bracket structure part, and roof part composing pagoda body section which actively reflects structure and design skill compared to floor or upper part. And for better understanding, in the part that is similar to pagoda body section of main hall or needs examples, wooden pagoda in China or Japan was referred. Through this investigation, it was known that unique skill applied to main hall of Ssang-Bong Sa the main temple is based on plane in one room ${\times}$ one room - Ssang-Bong Sa the main temple has common form of wooden pagoda in appearance.

  • This paper is concerned with an optimal control suspension system using the preview information of road input based on a quarter car model. The main purpose of the control is to combine good vibration isolation characteristics with improved attitude control. The optimal control law is derived with the use of calculus of variation, consisting of three parts. The first part is a full state feedback term that includes integral control acting on the suspension deflection to ensure zero steady-state deflection in response to static body forces and ramp road inputs. The second part is a feed-forward term which compensates for the body forces when they can be detected, and the third part depends on previewed road input. The performance of the suspension is evaluated in terms of frequency domain characteristics and time responses to ramp road input and cornering forces. The effects of each part of the suspension controller on the system behavior are examined.
