Part 23 보통급 비행기와 VLA 비행기의 구조분야 감항기술기준 요건 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on Structural Requirements of Part 23 Normal Category and VLA)

  • In 2010, Airworthiness standard for VLA(Very Light Airplane) category was newly introduced as KAS Part VLA. KAS Part VLA is an adaption of EASA CS-VLA which was developed to reduce unnecessary burden of manufacturer of very light, simple, single-reciprocating-engine/propeller powered airplanes having low stall speeds by tailoring some requirements of Part 23. In this paper, difference and similarity of structural requirements between Part 23 and VLA was analyzed.

  • 우리나라 민간 소형 비행기 동력장치의 감항기준은 KAS Part 23(소형 비행기)과 Part 33(엔진)에서 규정하고 있다. 이 기준은 미연방항공청(FAA)의 FAR Part 23 및 Part 33과 유럽항공안전청(EASA)의 CS-23 및 CS-E와 동등한 체계를 갖는다. FAA와 EASA는 소형 비행기의 감항기준을 전면 개정하였다. 설계 방식과 적합성 입증방법을 지정한 규범적 규정에서 안전한 성능을 달성하도록 목표를 지정하는 성능기반형 규정으로 전환한 것이다. 이러한 개념적 전환에 따라 동력장치 감항기준 또한 기존의 요건에서 대폭 변경되었다. 이에 따라 FAA의 동력장치 인증요건 개정 사항을 살펴보고 우리나라의 감항기준 개정 방향을 고찰하였다.

  • 국내 민간 소형 비행기 동력장치의 감항기준은 KAS Part 23 "감항분류가 보통(N), 실용(U), 곡기(A), 커뮤터(C)류인 비행기에 대한 기술기준"과 Part 33 엔진에서 규정하고 있다. 이 기준은 미연방항공청(FAA)의 FAR Part 23 및 Part 33과 유럽항공안전청(EASA)의 CS-23 및 CS-E와 동등한 체계를 갖고 있다. FAA(2016.12.12.)와 EASA(2017.3.29.)는 소형 비행기의 감항기준을 개정하였다. 설계 방식과 적합성 입증방법을 지정한 '규범적 규정'에서 안전한 성능을 달성하도록 목표를 지정하는 '성능기반 규정'으로 전환한 것이다. 이러한 개념 전환에 따라 동력장치 감항기준 또한 대폭 변경되었다. 이에 따른 FAA의 동력장치 인증요건 개정 사항을 살펴보고 국내 감항기준 개정 방향을 고찰하였다.

  • A glass cockpit is an aircraft cockpit that features electronic (digital) instrument displays, typically large LCD screens, rather than the traditional style of analog dials and gauges. While a traditional cockpit relies on numerous mechanical gauges to display information, a glass cockpit uses several displays driven by flight management systems, that can be adjusted to display flight information as needed. This study introduces design considerations of electronic display in KAS Part 23 airplanes.

Automatic Detection of the Middle Tooth Crown Part for Full Automatic Tooth Segmentation in Dental CT Images

  • In this paper, we propose the automatic detection method which find the middle part of tooth crown to start individual tooth segmentation. There have been many studies on the automation of individual tooth segmentation, but there are still many problems for full automation. Detection of middle part of tooth crown used as initial information for individual tooth segmentation is closely related to performance, but most studies are based on the assumption that they are already known or they can be represented by using a straight line. In this study, we have found that the jawbone curve is similar to the tooth alignment curve by spatially analyzing the CT image, and propose a method to automatically detect the middle part of tooth crown. The proposed method successfully uses the jawbone curves to successfully create a tooth alignment curve that is difficult to detect. As the middle part of tooth crown is in the form of a tooth alignment curve, the proposed method detects the middle part of tooth crown successfully. It has also been verified by experiments that the proposed method works well on real dental CT images.

KC-100 소형항공기 추진계통 비행시험 사례연구 (Study on The Propulsion System Flight Test of KC-100 Small Airplane)

  • The conformity of propulsion system need to be evaluated thorough the flight test because it is an important part of the airplane to ensure the flight safety. In the small airplane development, the flight test according to KAS(Korean Airworthiness Standards) Part 23 is one of the ways to verify compliance in terms of satisfactory aircraft/engine/propeller integration. This thesis introduces means of verifying the compliance and test requirement of KAS Part 23 for the conformity of the propulsion system in small airplane. It also describes procedures and methods of propulsion system flight test through KC-100 airplane project.

  • The membrane structure should maintain the membrane materials in tension for structural stability guaranty. The anchoring part in the membrane structure is an important part. It has the function to introduce tension into membrane materials and function to transmit stress which membrane materials receives to boundary structure such as steel frames. In this paper, it grasps anchoring system of the anchoring part in the membrane structure concerning the fracturing characteristic condition of membrane structure, and the influence which is caused to yield it designates the stress state when breaking the membrane structure which includes the anchoring part and that stress transition mechanism is elucidated as purpose. This paper follows to previous paper, does 1 axial tensile test concerning the bolting part specimen, grasp of fracturing progress of the bolting part and the edge rope and hardness of the rubber, does the appraisal in addition with the difference of bolt tightening torque. As a result, the influence which the bolt anchoring exerts on the fracturing characteristics of the membrane material in the membrane structure anchoring part is examined.

심미성 및 치주 조직의 유지 관리를 고려한 임플란트 보철 증례 (Novel design of implant prosthesis considering esthetics and periodontal maintenance: case report)

  • After extraction of tooth, alveolar ridge resorption is inevitable in most cases. Clinicians confront with horizontal and vertical resorption of alveolar bone. Without massive amount of bone and soft tissue graft, dental implant will be placed apically to gain stability. In those cases, not only white esthetic part, but also pink esthetic part should be restored with pink porcelain. The margin of prosthesis should be located apically to reproduce natural look with adjacent teeth. However, when the margin is located apically, it is always hard to remove remaining cement, thus complications may arise. In this report, a novel design of implant prosthesis is introduced to solve those issues. The novel design is consisted of zirconia framework with pink porcelain and separate crowns on top of the framework. It eliminates the possibility of cement remnants by bringing the crown margin coronally. Pink esthetic part is incorporated in abutment part instead of crown part and the screw hole is covered with separate crowns.

분류층 석탄반응로에서 유동분포가 연소성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Flow Distribution on the Combustion Efficiency In an Entrained-Bed Coal Reactor)

  • A numerical study was carried out to analyze the effect of flow distribution of stirred part and plug flow part on combustion efficiency at the coal gasification process in an entrained bed coal reactor. The model of computation was based on gas phase eulerian balance equations of mass and momentum. The solid phase was described by lagrangian equations of motion. The $k-{\varepsilon}$ model was used to calculate the turbulence flow and eddy dissipation model was used to describe the gas phase reaction rate. The radiation was solved using a Monte-Carlo method. One-step parallel two reaction model was employed for the devolatilization process of a high volatile bituminous Kideco coal. The computations agreed well with the experiments, but the flame front was closer to the burner than the measured one. The flow distribution of a stirred part and a plug flow part in a reactor was a function of the magnitude of recirculation zone resulted from the swirl. The combustion efficiency was enhanced with decreasing stirred part and the maximum value was found around S=1.2, having the minimum stirred part. The combustion efficiency resulted from not only the flow distribution but also the particle residence time through the hot reaction zone of the stirred part, in particular for the weak swirl without IRZ(internal recirculation zone) and the long lifted flame.

Part 23 급 항공기 엔진인증 비행시험 절차 조사 (Research of Part 23 Level Aircraft Engine Certificate Flight Test Procedure)

  • The engine is the most significant and essential part of the aircraft. As a result, systematical handling in the aircraft development stage is required from engine design to implementation to the full-scale airframe. This survey demonstrates the procedures demanded by the KAS 23 Civil Aircraft to acquire the engine Type Certification and the flight test procedures for ensuring the operational stability. Surveys were conducted on domestic and international aircraft engine certifications, technical regulations and documentations related to the Means of Compliance for flight test development stage. In addition, organized reference items that should be considered for the certification of engine flight test procedures were reviewed based on the KC-100.
