Many previous studies of data quality have focused on the realization and evaluation of both data value quality and data service quality. These studies revealed that poor data value quality and poor data service quality were caused by poor data structure. In this study we focus on metadata management, namely, data structure quality and introduce the data quality management maturity model as a preferred maturity model. We empirically show that data quality improves as data management matures.

Department of Defense, Republic of Korea has put in significant efforts towards safety over the years by developing defense safety management systems, such as establishing safety management organizations and enacting laws and regulations. Therefore, the number of casualties due to military activities has been reduced dramatically. However, many errors and problems are present in the safety management system (SMS) owing to a lack of proper SMS. That brings inefficiency and discontinuity in SMS. Hence, typical phenomena such as lack of safety management professionals and reactive safety management activities have not been properly corrected. This study reviews various academic papers on the SMS and research reports of major foreign institutions to redefine the concept and components of the defense safety management system to ultimately suggest improvement in the R.O.K defense safety management system. Additionally, the safety management system of the U.S. and British forces, considered to be the leading safety management system, were analyzed and compared to R.O.K defense SMS to derive their implications.

본 연구는 최근 공원관리에 대한 새로운 방법론이 요구됨에 따라 공원유형을 재분류하고, 그에 적합한 관리방식을 제안하고자 하였다. 제안된 공원유형은 공원이용자, 이용시설 및 자원, 관리업무의 난이도에 따라 '산지자연형 공원', '생태목적형 공원', '시설집중형 공원'으로 분류할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 공무원과 일반시민 등 이용자로 나누어 설문조사를 한 결과, 산지자연형 공원은 주민들이 일상적으로 이용하는 공원으로 전문적인 지식이나 기술을 필요로 하지 않으므로 자치구에서 관리하는 것이 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 생태목적형 공원은 전문성이 요구되는 공원으로 전문성을 가진 민간단체를 지정하는 것이 좋으며, 시설집중형 공원은 복합적인 공간으로한 방식보다는 다양하고 복합적인 관리방식이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구는 공공관리 전환 측면에서 논의되고 있는 공원 거버넌스의 사례분석을 통하여 대형 도시공원 조성과 운영관리의 추진방향과 전략을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 최근 대형 도시공원에서 나타나는 민관 파트너십, 거버넌스의 사례는 공공 서비스 전환의 필요성을 나타낸다. 프레시디오 공원과 시드니 하버 국립공원의 조성과정과 운영관리 전략을 분석하여 공원 거버넌스 의미와 효과, 전제조건을 확인하였다. 분석의 틀로 다음의 6가지 항목-정책, 거버넌스, 파트너십, 재정 및 기금, 디자인 및 운영과 관리, 평가와 모니터링-을 선정하고 분석을 수행하였다. 사례 분석을 통해 확인한 점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공원 정책수립에서 계획과 운영관리까지 일관성 있게 목표를 추진하는 것이 필요하며, 공원에 대한 권한과 책임을 독립적 운영주체 조직에 이양함으로써 유연한 공원 서비스가 가능하다. 둘째, 트러스트를 중심으로 공공 행정, 비영리민간조직, 민간기업, 지역 커뮤니티단체, 학술기관 등의 폭넓은 파트너십이 구축됨으로써 공원 활동의 다양성이 확대될 수 있다. 셋째, 공원의 경제적 자족성 모색은 공공재정 의존도를 낮추어 위기 대응력을 높이고, 자체적 수익모델을 구성하여 공원의 재투자가 가능한 경제적 선순환 구조를 형성한다. 장기적으로 공원 관리의 질을 높이고, 지역경제와도 연동하는 효과를 만든다. 넷째, 공원 조성 운영관리 실행 체계에서 지역 커뮤니티를 공원의 생산자이며, 소비자로 기능할 수 있도록 하는 보다 다양하고 구체적인 지역커뮤니티 참여 방안과 실행전략이 필요하다. 두 공원에서 시도하고 있는 전략들은 공공 중심의 논의 틀을 민간과 제 3의 섹터, 즉 지역 커뮤니티 그룹으로 전환하고 있다는 측면에서 공원 거버넌스 모델의 지향과 의미를 확인할 수 있다. 그러나 공원에서의 민간 활동에 의한 사유화 우려, 재정적 자족성 확보를 위한 수익운영 정책이 야기하는 공공재 본질성의 침해는 한계로 지적된다. 공원 거버넌스 모델은 앞으로도 대형 도시공원의 지속가능성을 모색해야 하는 시점에서 지속적인 연구와 논의가 필요하다.

Recently the use demand for national parks has been rapidly increased due to the change of leisure patterns in Korea. The intensive use of national parks, however, can cause serious management problems both in resource conservation and in visitor satisfaction. In order to prepare the effective management plan for the sustainable use of national parks, it is essential to evaluate the visitor satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to provide important information for the management strategies for Namsan and Tohamsan national parks in Kyongju. Importance-performance analysis (IPA) was adopted to analyze the visitor expectation and satisfaction. The questionnaire survey was performed to the 420 visitors of the three sites (Namsan Sam-reung, Namsam Yong-jang, and Tohamsan) that are the most popular areas in Kyongju national park. The IPA for the 18 satisfaction items shows that all the values for importance are higher than those for performance in the three sites. This results indicates that visitors' satisfactions for the 18 items are lower than their expectations. The IP matrix reveals that the management effort should be concentrated on the educational opportunities for nature and culture in Yong-jang, on the convenient access to park in Sam-reung. and on the availability of cool drinking water in Tohamsan. Based on the results, several suggestions for the management strategies were summarized for the three sites in conclusion.

Recently, interest in the necessity and practical application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is also increasing in the civil engineering field. However, there are difficulties in building BIM models and utilizing BIM modeling in the civil engineering field due to various reasons. To this end, it is necessary to develop management tools and research on management methods that can effectively utilize the BIM library in the civil engineering field. Libraries in the civil engineering field are complementary to each other, so library management in consideration of library management in various combinations and continuous updates is important. BIM library management was proposed through the development of a management tool that reflects these characteristics, which is expected to contribute to improving productivity in the field of civil design.

야외휴양(野外休養)에 대한 사회적 수요가 증가함에 따라 새로운 휴양(休養) 시설(施設)의 개발 만큼 중요한 문제로 부각되고 있는 것이 기존 자원에 대한 경영방침(經營方針)의 평가 및 새로운 경영방향(經營方向)의 설정이다. 본 연구(硏究)는 마케팅 분야에서 개발된 중요도(重要度)-성취도(成就度) 분석(分析)을 이용하여 자연휴양지의 시설 및 서비스의 평가를 시도하였다. 1989년도 가야산 국립공원(國立公園)에서 실시된 개인면담에 의해 얻어진 정보를 근거로 10가지 시설(施設) 및 서비스에 대한 이용자의 평가가 가시적으로 도식화(圖式化) 되었고 이에 따른 경영전략(經營戰略)의 방향이 제시되었다.

DNA microarray is a high-throughput biomedical technology that monitors gene expression for thousands of genes in parallel. The abundance and complexity of the gene expression data have given rise to a requirement for their systematic management and analysis to support many laboratories performing microarray research. On these demands, we developed Xperanto for integrated data management and analysis using user-friendly web-based interface. Xperanto provides an integrated environment for management and analysis by linking the computational tools and rich sources of biological annotation. With the growing needs of data sharing, it is designed to be compliant to MGED (Microarray Gene Expression Data) standards for microarray data annotation and exchange. Xperanto enables a fast and efficient management of vast amounts of data, and serves as a communication channel among multiple researchers within an emerging interdisciplinary field.

This study presents the empirical results of comparing several demand forecasting methods for Supply Chain Management(SCM). Adaptive exponential smoothing using change detection statistics (Jun) is compared with Trigg and Leach's adaptive methods and SAS time series forecasting systems using weekly SCM demand data. The results show that Jun's method is superior to others in terms of one-step-ahead forecast error and eight-step-ahead forecast error. Based on the results, we conclude that the forecasting performance of SCM solution can be improved by the proposed adaptive forecasting method.
