초·중등 학부모 대상 수학교과 인식 및 요구 조사 (Analysis of Recognition and Needs for Parents in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools for Mathematics Education)

  • 본 연구는 학부모의 수학에 대한 인식이 자녀의 수학학습에 영향을 미치는 근원적 요소가 될 수 있다는 선행 연구들을 바탕으로 학부모의 수학 교과에 대한 가치인식과 만족도 등에 관한 내용을 조사하였으며, 그 결과를 바탕으로 학교 수학교육 및 자녀 교육과 학부모 교육에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 연구방법은 전국의 학부모를 대상으로 무작위 추출하였으며, 초등학생 학부모 133명, 중·고등학생 학부모 411명에 따른 학부모의 응답 결과를 비교 분석 하였다. 설문 결과 초등학생과 중·고등학생 모두 학부모가 수학 교과의 가치 인식이 긍정적일수록 자녀의 수학 교과에 대한 가치 인식도 긍정적이고, 학부모의 수학 관련 교육 참여도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 교수학습 활동에 대한 인식 측면에서 교육 프로그램 참여 의지는 중·고등학생 학부모가 초등학생 학부모보다 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 수학 교과 전반에 대한 만족도 또한 초등학생 학부모가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학부모들은 미래 신기술을 활용한 수업 및 인공지능이나 데이터 분석 능력을 함양하기 위한 수학교육의 필요성을 인식하고 있는 것으로 판단할 수 있었다. 이는 교육전문가들이 향후 진지하게 고민해보아야 할 과제로서 학부모가 참여하는 수학교육의 확대, 미래 수학학습을 위한 수학 학습 환경의 조성, 수학교육 관련하여 다양한 학부모 교육의 필요성을 제안하였다.

어린이 성희롱/성폭력 예방교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of the Educational Program for Prevention of Sexual Abuse in Children)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study is to develop an educational program to prevent sexual abuse of children and to improve the physical and mental health of children by providing a rape-free environment and safety education. This program will provide parents and children with information on how to prevent sexual abuse in children. Children learn specific methods to avoid being victimized both at home and outside the home through a learning game and simulation, which is based on problem solving. Method: This program was developed based on a literature reviews, surveys and negotiation process. School- aged-children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to reveal their educational needs based on their experiences related to sexual abuse. Result: This program includes useful subjects such as safety education, early detection of sexual abuse, crisis management, resource persons, and phone numbers of available hospital. Counseling is provided by researcher or by a pediatric psychiatrist if needed. Conclusion: This program could be adequately utilized for prevention of sexual abuse of children. It also will provide an intervention strategy for abused children. This educational program was distributed to all of the elementary school through the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.

어린이 안전사고 예방교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of the Safety Education Program for Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop safety education program to prevent child accident and to improve the health of children by providing a safe environment. This program provide parents and children with information on how to prevent children from accident. Children especially can learn specific methods to avoid accident both at home, school and outside the home through safety education, which is based on problem solving. Method: This program was developed based on literature reviews, surveys and negotiation process. School aged children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to identify their educational needs based on their experiences related to child accident. During the 7th Annual Conference of Educational Courses in 1999, the Korean Educational Ministry examined the feasibility and compatibility of integrating the program into the current educational curriculum. Result: This program includes useful subjects such as safety education, preventive strategies, crisis management, guide for parent and teacher, resource persons, internet site and phone numbers of available hospital. Counseling is provided by researcher if needed. Conclusion: This program could be adequately utilized for prevention of child accident and creation of preventive strategies. It will also suggest an intervention strategy for injured children.

취업 부모의 학교참여 경험 및 학교참여휴가제에 대한 요구 (Experiences of School Participation and the Need for School-Participation Leave for Employed Parents)

  • This study attempted to investigate school participation experiences and the need for a school-participation leave for employed parents. A school participation leave is a paid or unpaid leave that guarantees workers to take time-off for school participation regarding children's educational purposes. We reviewed cases of school participation in other countries. There are similar types of educational leave in Russia, Greece, Italia, Sweden, Swaziland, and South Africa. We collected survey data from 1,194 employed parents (794 fathers and 400 mothers) whose children attend kindergarten, elementary, middle, or high-school. This study compares school participation experiences and needs by parent gender. The results showed that 62 % of the fathers and 80 % of the mothers participated in any type of school meetings and events at least once in the previous year. Fathers attended school events such as art festivals and mothers attended PTA meetings, school events, and parent-teacher conferences. The most frequently mentioned reason for non-participation among parents was related to work. A total of 87.7% of the parents agreed that a school-participation leave should be introduced. The results of the logistic regression showed that mothers compared to fathers, college graduates compared to post-secondary graduates, those whose children attended preschool or elementary school compared to high school, and those who had longer working hours were more likely to agree on the introduction of school participation leave. In conclusion, a policy intervention such as school-participation leave should be considered to provide employed parents time to be involved in their children's education and participate in school activities.

초.중.고등학교 보건교육에 대한 학부모의 인식 및 요구도 조사 (The Study of Acknowledgement and Needs of the Parents about Elementary, Middle, and High School Students' Health Education)

  • This research has been attempted to measure health acknowledgement and needs of 1158 respondents, the parents of elementary, middle, and high school students, residing in Seoul and In-chon. 1. The majority of parents had high interests in health and their children's health education. In addition, more than half of parents showed positive responses in their willingness to participate in organizational activities. 2. 41.7% of parents thought that their children were receiving health education regularly. For their recognitions of the course title, 'Physical Education' was the most highly recognized by the parents of elementary and middle school students, and 'Military Drill' for the parents of high school students. 3. A high number of parents perceived the problems of school health education. 4. There was a high number of parents, who thought that health education teachers' knowledge was deficient, and 86.3% of them agreed that additional education for 33the teachers should be desired. 5. 95.5% of parents acknowledged the necessity of health education; 78.8% of them recognized the reinforcement of health education; and 60.0% of them percepted the necessity of establishing the independent health education courses. 6. For the matter of instruction period, the majority of parents responded that health education should be taught from "kindergarten" and "elementary school". For the appropriate instruction hour per a week, the majority answered 1 hour. Most respondents answered that those, who majored in health education, should be the appropriate teachers. 7. The survey result indicated that there was a close correlation between the cognition of the importance of health education and the correspondents' health educational background, their interest and willingness to participate in health education. 8. The most desired areas of health education were Safety Education and Health-Habit. The followings were Environmental Health, Prevention of Disease, Mental Health, Growth and Nutrition, and Drug-Abuse in a sequent order. The parents of elementary school students showed a high acknowledgement on Health-Habit, Growth and Nutrition, and Prevention of disease, Safety Education. On the other hand, as the children entered into the advanced schools, the parents' recognition of the health education needs shifted into Sex education, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health. 9. Those respondents, who recognized the necessity of health education and advocated the establishment of independent health education courses, had a strong demand for the implementation of the health education.

부모의 학력수준과 우울감 사이의 연관성: 제14기(2018년) 청소년건강행태조사 자료를 이용하여 (Association between Educational Level of Parents and Adolescent Depression Feeling: Based on 14th Korean Youth Health Behavior Survey)

  • Background: This study aimed to demonstrate the association between the education level of parents and adolescent depression feeling. Methods: We used the chi-square test and the multiple logistic regression model to analyze the data of the "Korean Youth Health Behavior Survey in 2018" (n=43,220) conducted by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Results: As a result of the analysis, a group whose parents' education level is 'above the university graduation (including the graduation of the college)' had statistically significant experience of depression than a group whose parents' education level is 'high school graduation.' Conclusion: When preparing a policy on adolescent depression feeling, we need to consider the association between the education level of parents and adolescent depression feeling. Especially, a higher level of education of parents needs attention and management to foster positive mental health rather than excessive academic pressure, especially in the parent-child relationship of the same gender.

대학생의 소비자재무지식, 소비자 재무행동, 소비자재무교육 요구도 (The Financial Educational Needs, Financial Knowledge Level, and Financial Behaviors of College Students)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine levels of financial knowledge, to identify the financial education needs of college students, and to show how financial knowledge and education needs correlate. The results of this study indicated that the level of understanding of economy was the highest among the seven categories, whereas the overall level of financial knowledge was less than 50%. The need for financial education was relatively high in various topics of financial management, especially financial planning and savings. There was no significant relationship between knowledge level and educational needs except between financial planning and investment. Students who understand financial planning better want more financial education. College students in this study were not financially independent from their parents, receiving allowance and assistance in tuition payment, so their financial experiences were limited. Students who understood financial management showed greater need of financial education and had more financial experience. The findings in this study suggested that college should provide formal financial education as an elective course, which should include content related to financial planning and various financial products.

중학생과 학부모의 청소년을 위한 건강가정 교육에 관한 요구도와 생활 만족도 (Healthy Family Educational Need and Life Satisfaction of Middle School Students and Their Parents)

  • 본 연구는 청소년 건강가정교육에 대한 중학생과 학부모의 요구도와 관련변수를 분석하여 청소년 건강가정교육 프로그램 개발에 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 실시되었다. 서울시에 거주하는 중학생 674명과 학부모 597명을 대상으로 설문지를 통하여 자료를 수집하고, 기술통계방법, one-way ANOVA, Duncan 검증, pearson 상관관계를 이용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년들은 가족관계영역에서 가족과의 열린 대화법, 친구와의 관계에서 친구에게 비춰지는 나, 소비생활영역에서 물건 구매 후 피해보상 받는 방법과 영양과 비만영역에서 자신의 신체와 외모에 대한 자신감 찾는 방법에 대한 요구가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학부모들의 요구는 가족과의 열린 대화법, 친구를 잘 사귀는 방법, 저축방법, 자신의 신체와 외모에 대한 자신감 찾는 방법에서 높았다. 부모들의 경우는 인구통계학적인 변인에 관계없이 건강가정교육 프로그램에 대한 다양한 내용에 대하여 전반적으로 높은 요구를 보이고 있다. 셋째, 중학생의 생활만족도는 전반적으로 높았는데 특히 친구관계에 대한 만족이 가장 높았고 부모와의 관계에서도 높은 만족도를 보이고 있다. 이러한 생활만족도는 중학생의 건강가정교육 요구도와 유의한 상관관계를 나타내고 있어서 학생들이 불만스러워하는 영역에 대한 교육 요구도가 높아짐을 볼 수 있다.

장애학생 원격교육 및 교육지원에 대한 학부모의 인식 및 요구 분석 (Analysis of Parents' Perceptions and Needs for Distance Education and Educational Support for Students with Disabilities)

  • 본 연구는 장애학생에게 실시된 원격수업에 대한 장애학생 학부모의 인식을 파악하고, 교육지원에 대한 요구를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 학령기 장애 자녀가 있는 전국의 학부모 총 2,392명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 문항은 크게 교육격차 방지를 위한 학습지원, 행동 및 심리적 어려움을 위한 지원, 교육복지 보장을 위한 돌봄지원의 영역에 관한 문항들로 구성되었다. 설문조사를 통해 취합된 자료는 기술통계를 통해 분석되었으며, 중복응답을 한 문항의 경우에는 다중응답 빈도분석을 통해 분석되었다. 연구결과 원격수업 시 장애학생의 교육격차 방지를 위해 지원해야 할 학습지원의 중요도로 학교 내 대면교육이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 특수교육지원센터와 연계한 학습지원과 관련해서는 장애특성에 맞는 원격학습 방법 및 전략에 대한 상담이 가장 높게 나타났다. 장애학생 원격수업을 위한 학습지원의 방안으로 예비특수교사를 통한 개별학습 지원에 대한 요구가 높게 나타났으며, 학습보조기기 및 보조공학기기 관련해서는 필요할 때 적절하게 이용할 수 있는 충분한 기기의 확보를 요구하였다. 이 밖에도 장애학생이 행동 및 심리적 어려움을 위한 심리상담 및 교육지원이 요구되었으며, 장애특성에 적합한 돌봄 프로그램 개발 및 전담 인력 추가 배치 등에 대한 요구가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 장애학생이 원격수업으로 인한 겪게 되는 학습격차 해소를 위한 방안 및 구체적인 교육지원 방안에 관하여 시사점을 제시하였다.

소아 약시 어머니의 삶의 체험에 대한 현상학적 연구 (The life experience of parents with amblyopic children)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of parents with amblyopic children. The data were collected from August 2018 to May 2019. This study involved semi-structured in-depth individual interviews and was analyzed in terms of Giorgi's phenomenological methodology. The participants of this study were 7 mothers with amblyopic children. Verbatim transcripts were analyzed. Four themes-clusters were identified: passing without realizing the clues of action, experiencing emotional distress, enduring the long and tough process of treatment, and making every effort to escape from amblyopia. The findings from this study provide a deep understanding of mothers'experiences of caring for amblyopic children. Based on the findings, health care providers need educational programs that include a step-by-step eye health program. In addition, compliance needs to be improved.
