부모의 양육방식이 성별 청소년의 우울에 미치는 영향 (Longitudinal relationship between depression and parents' child-rearing attitudes for adolescent)

  • Objectives: This study is aimed at exploring the temporal developmental relationship of adolescent depression and parents' child-rearing attitudes, and to examine gender differences in the relationship. The middle school students of the 2011-2013 1st Korea Children and Youth Panel data were used for analysis and the sample consisted of 2.073 individuals. Methods: Research questions were answered through the Latent Growth Model and Autoregressive Cross-Lagged Model. Results: As the results of the Latent Growth Model show, adolescent depression declines as time goes by and there are differences in the depression felt by individuals. An autoregressive cross-lagged model and multiple group analysis were executed by gender. The results show significant gender differences in the relationship between depression and Parents' child-rearing attitudes. Parental neglect has shown differences influencing adolescents depression between males and females. However, in case of parental abuse, no differences between males and females were observed. Conclusion: The results of this study imply that the policy on depression should be carefully considered when preparing for interventions targeting adolescents by gender.

아동의 학교생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 생태학적 변인 (The Ecological Variables on Children's School Adjustment)

  • The Ecological variables studied in relation to children's school adjustment were organisms(grade, sex, perceived competence, aggression and withdrawal), microsystems(parental support, marital conflict and supervision, peer victimization and perceived teacher attitude), mesosystems(family-peer relationships, family-school relationships) and the exosystem(neighborhood environment). The sample consisted of 565 fifth and sixth grade children. Instruments were the School Adjustment Scale and Index of organisms, microsystems, mesosystems, and exosystem variables. Statistics and methods used for the data analysis were Cronbach's alpha, frequency, percentage, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. Several major results were found from the analysis. First, children's school adjustment showed positive correlations with perceived competence, parental support and supervision, perceived teacher attitude, family/peer and family/school relationships and neighborhood environment but showed negative correlations with grade, aggression, withdrawal and parental marital conflict and peer victimization. Second, the most important variable predicting child's relationship with teacher, his/her academic adjustment and satisfaction in schoolwas perceived teacher attitude. And the most important variable predicting children's peer relationships in school was perceived social competence.

청소년 자녀가 경험하는 부모의 학대 유형과 부적응 행동 (The Types of Parental Abuse and Maladjustmental Behaviors Experienced by Adolescents)

  • This study investigated the relationship between the types of parental abuse and maladjustmental behaviors of adolescents. The subjects were 448 junior and senior middle school students. Statistics were frequencies, percentile, Pearson's r-coefficient, and regression analysis. The main results of this study were as follows ; 1. There were significantly positive correlation between the types of parental abuse and maladjustmental behaviors. 2. The variables, neglect, unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents, and physical abuse were found to be the important variables in predicting social withdrawal. Neglect, unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents, and sex of the child were found to be the important variables in predicting hyperactivity. Neglect, emotional abuse, and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents were found to be the important variables in predicting aggression. Sex of the child, emotional abuse, and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents were found to be the important variables in predicting retreat. And, neglect and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents were found to be important variables in predicting obsessive-compulsion.

부모의 자녀관과 양육태도가 자녀학대에 미치는 영향 (Parental Perspectives and Child Rearing Effects on Child Abuse)

  • The purpose of this study was to indentify parental perspectives and child rearing effects on child abuse with the hope that the results will be helpful in treatment and prevention of child abuse. The subjects were 181 children, 74 elementary and 107 junior high school students in Pusan. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, Pearson's correlation, and regression. The high correlation of parental perspectives and child rearing attitudes with child abuse suggest a causal relationship. Implications of these results indicate the need for enactment and enforcement of laws for treatment and prevention. A recommendation was made that prevention, treatment, and education concerning child abuse should be carried out under the auspices of governmental and welfare agencies.

중학생의 시간관리 : 관련변수 및 학업성취도와의 관계 (The Time Management Practice of Middle School Students : Affecting Variables and Correlations with Academic Achievement)

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify variables affecting time management practice and the relationship between the practice and academic achievement of middle school students. Questionnaires including a time management scale were used for this study and the survey data were taken from 352 middle school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The statistical methods for the analysis were frequency, percentage, average, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation. The variables affecting student time management were gender, their standard of living, parental educational level and parental occupation. Religion and residential area were indicated as variables affecting several subscales of time management but the academic year of student had no effect on student time management behavior. The relationship between time management and the academic achievement of middle school students was slightly positive. Developing programs for time management in the field of family resource management is also necessary.

재혼가정 청소년의 적응교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 연구: 가족관계 인식과 교육요구도를 중심으로 (The Perception of Stepfamily Adolescents about Their Stepfamily relationship and the Need for Education Program)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify stepfamily adolescents' emotions related with parental remarriage and the need for education program for them. Forty three stepfamily adolescents in middle and high schools in Seoul were surveyed. As a main result, the most of stepfamily adolescents felt a difficulty in adjustment to stepparent even through more than half of the adolescents perceived the advantage of parental remarriage. The greatest number of stepfamily adolescents wanted an understanding of themselves from parents and agreed the necessity of the educational program for them. 'The understanding of stepfamily', 'The resolution of conflict with stepparent' and 'Stress management' were the popular topics which were demanded as program contents by stepfamily adolescents. Several discussions and conclusions on the main result were suggested.

에릭슨의 발달과업으로 본 아버지의 자녀양육 생산성과 유아 - 아버지간 애착안정성과 관계 (Generative Fathering on Erikson's Perspective and its Relationship with Attachment Security of Children)

  • This study is applied to the Erikson's concept of generative fathering that meets the needs of the next generation and investigated the relationship between generative fathering and the attachment security. Sixty-five of 30-36 months old children (37 boys and 28 girls) and their parents participated in this study. Fathers completed the questionnaire of parental generativity, which include items on their support of physical development, social-emotional development and intellectual development. Children's attachment was reported by mothers using the Attachment Q-set. Results revealed that father's parental generativity was noted as 3.09 in 1 to 5 child rearing activities. But the results showed that there was a significant difference in child's sex and child's birth order. Also, it was found that children's secure attachnent to their fathers was not high. There was an association between fathering generativity and children's secure attachment. This findings imply that father's active child rearing participation will increase children's secure attachment.

  • The study analyzed reflections on parenting and its meaning represented on mothers' self-reports of filial therapy sessions. The filial therapy program consisted of understanding of child development and parental role, practicing new parenting skill, feedback from the play therapist, lectures on child-centered play therapy, supervision of mother's play therapy sessions, and writing journals. Through repeated meta-parenting experiences during the sessions, four mothers who had relationship problems with their children improved awareness of themselves as parents, authentic understanding of the mother-child relationship and development, and reflections of their parental abilities despite individual differences.

어머니의 자녀양육 스트레스와 관련된 심리사회적 변인들 (Exploration of psychosocial variables related to mother's parenting stress)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relations among mother's self-differentiation intimate. relationship parental role satisfaction and parenting stress. The subjects were 144 middle class mothers who have a first-born child aged from 6 to 36 months in Seoul. Data were gathered via questionnaire distributed to the mothers. The major results were as follows; (1) Mothers who achieved higher self-differentiation perceived lower parenting stress. (2) Mothers who highly satisfied with both their husbands' support and marital relations perceived lower parenting stress. (3) Mother's parental role satisfaction was not related to mother's parenting stress. (4) The variables predicting parenting stress were mother's self-differentiatin mother's satisfaction with intimate relationship and husband's support. However the predictive powers of these variables were different depending on mother's employment status.

부모애착과 자기통제력과의 관계에서 공격성과 자아존중감의 매개효과: 육군병사를 중심으로 (The Mediating Effects of Aggression and Self-Esteem on the Relationship between Perceived Parental Attachment and Self-Control of Army Soldiers)

  • 본 연구는 육군병사가 지각한 부모애착과 자기통제력과의 관계에서 공격성과 자아존중감의 매개효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 현역병사를 대상으로 설문조사를 하여 507부를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 병사들의 부모애착과 자기통제력은 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 공격성과 자기통제력은 부적상관을, 자아존중감과 자기통제력은 정적상관을 나타냈다. 한편 부모애착은 자기통제력에 직접적으로 영향을 줄 뿐만 아니라 공격성과 자아존중감을 매개로 자기통제력에 간접적으로도 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며 매개효과는 자아존중감보다 공격성이 상대적으로 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 상담 실제 및 후속 연구에 대한 시사점을 논하였다.
