A Study on Vibration Characteristics with Sloshing Mode Effect in Water Tank Structure (유체 슬로싱모드가 탱크의 진동에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • Liquid storage rectangular tank structures are used in many fields of airplane and marine engineering. Fatigue damages are sometimes observed in these tanks which seem to be caused by resonance. Therefore it is essentially important to estimate vibration characteristics of tank structures. Many Investigators studied the vibration of cylindrical and rectangular tank structures containing still fluid. In general, the eigenbehavior of interior liquid is characterized by the sloshing mode while that of the structure by the bulging mode. However, the structure deformation to the sloshing mode and the liquid free-surface fluctuation to the bulging mode have been neglected in the classical added-mass computation. in the present paper, we study the vibration characteristics with sloshing mode effect.

  • In this paper, full body modeling and analysis of nose and main landing gear's characteristics of a helicopter are performed using the dynamics analysis program ADAMS. Also, when land limiting about helicopter body's degree-of-freedom, compared the characteristics. In the case of helicopter, because there are a lot of dangerous missions under flight condition that is disadvantageous than fixed wing airplane, need more detailed research for a helicopter.

Hydroelastic Responses of Nonerctangular Floating Airports Considering the Shape of Control Tower (관제탑 형상에 의한 불균일한 부유식 해상공항의 유탄성 운동)

  • Very Large Floating Structures have been planned for effective utilization of ocean space in recent years. The nonerctangular VLFS usually has a control tower to guide airplane securely. This paper presents an effective method for calculating the wave induced hydroelastic responses of VLFS considering the effect of control tower-shapes. The source and dipole distribution method is used to calculate the plate. The rigidity matrix for VLFS is formulated by finite element method using a plate theory. The calculated results for nonerctangular VLFS with a control tower are compared with those for VLFS without a control tower.

  • Airborne radio communications, navigation, and identification equipments are the basic equipment of airplane. Airborne radio communications, navigation, and identification equipments are characterized by user's many quantitative and qualitative requirements. These equipment look like simple test and evaluation, but they have many complex factors. This paper describe the test and evaluation of airborne radio communications, navigation, and identification equipments.

  • This paper shows two models of the TMR system- fail passive system - having a fault tolerant system characteristic used in airplane and railway system. We design the single system, single-voter TMR system and triplicated voter TMR system based on MC68000 and calculate the failure rate of components using MIL-SPEC-217F and evaluate the reliability and MTTF(Mean Time To Failure) of the designed systems by Markov model.

  • Humans rely on the availability of a supply of gaseous oxygen for survival. If the minimal requirements for oxygen are not met, both mental and physical abilities and performance are degraded rapidly. So oxygen systems are required for the aircraft operating at high altitude to prevent physical and psychological problems, or loss of consciousness in an aircraft pilot, flight crew, or passengers. If oxygen system and equipments are to be included in the type design of an airplane, applicant should consider applicable airworthiness requirements and operating rules. In this paper we analyze the various oxygen system requirements for the type of aircraft, oxygen system, and operating conditions.

  • The supersonic speeds slowing down by shock waves is a common problem during the transonic region. So how to study the status of shock on the surface of airplane and wings is crucial adjective during transonic region. However, the theoretical and computational transonic flow problems were very hard. This paper introduced using Navier-Stokes Schemes to study characteristics of AGARD Wing 445.6 by ANSYS CFX in transonic region. From simulations results, as the Mach number increases, shock waves appear in the flowfield, getting stronger as the speed increases, these shock waves will lead to a rapid increase in drag.

  • Free from curves and surfaces are frequently used in designing engineering products such as car, ship, airplane, and hosing of electronic households. In many aspect, it is very nice to use the cutter radius compensation function of CNC controller when contour machining a 2-dimensional curve. However, if the 2D curve is a parametric spline, it is not easy to apply the cutter radius compensation function of CNC controller to the NC data obtained from many commercial CAM system. This is mainly due to the error magnification effect when offsetting line segments with inevitable round-off error at their vertices. Proposed in this paper is an approach to contour machining a 2D parametric spline while using cutter radius compensation. Some implementation results are included.

  • This paper presents a study on the design and structural substantiation of the interior structure of the new VVIP aircraft. In this study, the structural design and analysis of the compartment with aluminum alloy and sandwich composite panel were performed. The structural design requirements from the Federal Aviation Administration were identified. The structural analysis of the compartment was performed by the utilization of the finite element analysis method, for the structural design process. Therefore, the designed cabin compartment secured the structural integrity, and satisfied its certification standards and design requirements via structural analysis.

  • Searching for portable baggage through the system before boarding an airplane at an airport is important because it prevents many risks. In addition to these dangerous items, personal and confidential information leaks are occurring at airports through data storage devices. In the airport search system, there is a need for a system that searches not only dangerous items but also devices that can leak data. In this paper, we proposed a model that searches for a data storage device by improving the existing model. A comparative evaluation was conducted using existing algorithms. As a result, it was confirmed that the performance of the proposed model is 74 in the training data and 46.73 in the test data, which is superior to the existing model.
