  • This study intends to acquire objective models for basic quantitative analysis of pattern and space through image-recognition technique, and verify the effectiveness of such acquired models. Many experiments showed that the recognized result can be varied depending on the different viewpoints and the analysis based on the single-viewpoint images does not provide objectivity. The experiment using multi-viewpoint image models, which was attempted as an alternative for the disadvantages, showed the recognition similar to that of the actual model. Especially, images generated at laboratory using miniature model may be useful in comparing and understanding plural number of patterns. The models that have been acquired using such images may be hard to use in acquiring images for analyzing actual building patterns or indoor space, although they may be useful in pattern analysis using miniature model. The disadvantage, however, can be supplemented with panorama VR and C. G. simulation technique. Steady researches are required on the application of visual information to the image recognition principle and the model for quantitative analysis of pattern and space in addition to the research on the construction of the model that can be used in comparing and analyzing not only form and space but also miniature models.

  • Panorama picturing is an elongated photographing technique that connects images with rotating and moving multiple images horizontally that are partly overlapped. However, for hand-operated photographs, it is difficult to adjust overlapped parts because of tilted angles. There has been a study comparing adjacent pictures using labeling technique but it was time-consuming and had angle dissonant cases in nature. In this paper, we propose a less time-consuming paranoiac scene reconstruction method. Our method is also based on labeling-and-comparing technique but uses only 1/3 of it. Then, if there exists angle dissonance, it tries to find characteristic points by SURF algorithm and adjusts them with homography. The efficacy of this method is experimentally verified by experiments using various images

  • Mesiodens are supernumerary teeth in the region of the maxillary central incisors, a condition which can lead to disorders of the dentition. Their presence may lead to disorders, such as delay in eruption of permanent teeth, development of dentigerous cysts, resorption of adjacent roots and eruption of a supernumerary tooth into nasal cavity. The optimal time for surgical intervention is controversial. Early diagnosis is important so as to enable good prognosis. Diagnosis primarily depends on x-ray films. Panorama film, occlusal film, periapical film have been used for detection of mesiodens. But, all of them have disadvantages. $SCANORA^{(R)}$ is a multimodal radiology system which utilizes the principles of narrow beam radiology and spiral tomography. Pre-programmed imaging procedure are provided for many dental situations An optional personal computer can be connected into the unit to help design the examination. We report two cases diagnosed by $SCANORA^{(R)}$. When compared with tube shift technique, it is simple and exact method of detecting mesiodens.

  • In posterior maxilla, it is difficult to achieve primary stability of implants due to sinus pneumatization, alveolar bone loss, and low bone quality. The accurate and objective primary stability assessment is important for good prognosis of implants. Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the primary stability of the non-submerged, internal type implants with maxillary sinus augmentation using deproteinized bovine bone mineral by a resonance frequency analyzer, when residual alveolar bone height is under 8mm Materials and methods: A total of 20 implants was placed into 5 grafted maxillary sinuses in 5 patients. Deproteinized bovine bone mineral (Bio-$Oss^{(R)}$) was used as graft material. SS II implants (diameter 4.1mm, and length 11.5mm, SLA suface)) were placed. All of the patients received maxillary sinus graft procedure by 1-step technique. Residual bone height was $1.3{\sim}7.8mm$ (mean 4.4mm) measured by panorama radiography. After implant placement, RFA was measured at 4,8,12,20 weeks. The results were divided into 2 groups; RFA value under 4mm and over 5mm of bone height. It was statistically analyzed. Results: 1. The primary stability of implants was increased with time 2. The RFA value was above 65 ISQ at 12 weeks 3. There was no correlation between RFA and residual alveolar bone height in maxillary sinus augmentation by 1-step technique. Conclusion: 1-step surgical procedure is a feasible option for patients with as little as 4mm residual alveolar bone height, when utilizing non-submerged, internal type implants with xenografts.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical cases of subcondylar fracture with intraoral approach. Material and Method: Fifteen patients with unilateral subcondylar fracture were treated in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital, College of Medicine, Hallym University between 2006 and 2007. Each patients was examined by computed tomography(CT) and panorama. 3D-CT taken when fractured segment was displaced and comminuted. Patients was done intermaxillary fixation to occlusal stability and prevent displacement of fractured segment before general operation. Open reduction and internal fixation(ORIF) accomplished under general anesthesia and used to intraoral approach. We examinated the state of occlusion, maximum opening. Evaluation of the state of occlusion was divided in patient`s subjective evaluation that compare pre-traumatic occlusion with postoperative occlusion, and estimator`s objective evaluation that use articulating paper. Examination was done at 2 weeks, 1, 3, 6 month postoperative by follow up. Result: The ORIF through intraoral approach was good in all patients. In the state of occlusion, all patients recovered pre-traumatic occlusion in 6 month postoperation. Maximum opening was gradually increased. In 3 month postoperative, maximum opening was excessed 40mm. Conclusion: Our study indicate that the intraoral approach is a good technique for subcondylar fracture. Intraoral approach prevent complication that facial nerve damage, scar formation caused by extraoral approach. So, we recommend intraoral approach when subcondylar fracture.

  • Screen X is one of the Premium Large-Format platforms. Screen X projects images and video along the side wall of the theatre that go in synch with the front main screen. It's a different way of immersing the audience. This technique demands film-makers taking the two new "screens" into account when making movies. Screen X is the most obvious feature of viewing content with a range of 270 degrees. Viewers can view the experience of viewing experiences beyond the frame of screen screens by allowing viewers to experience the experience beyond the frame of screen screens, which means screen X can immerse the audiences without 3D glasses. Based on the results of this study, studies of content specifications and how they fit in the screen X are studied, and goals for maximizing the visual effects of the visual effects are studied. Looking forward to future research paper researchers and industry professionals who will benefit from future research papers.

  • Realistic videos using multi-view videos are created so that the contents shown on multi-view displays or screens look realistic. These images have been mostly used for special videos for exhibition, but, recently, systems such as Screen X have given rise to multi-view images as a format for storytelling contents such as movies. This study used HD-level broadcasting digital video camera with three zoom lenses for shooting wide to close-up shots focusing on a person, in the same way as Screen X, and identified and analyzed problems found during multi-view image registration correction. The results of this study suggested, provided the shooting technique and equipment are improved, the multi-view format can be used for conveying stories and information. Future research will need to investigate and supplement relevant techniques that will enable production of high-quality multi-view image contents by using a cinema-grade camera with standard lenses, instead of using broadcasting-grade zoom lenses.

  • Depth map is an image that contains distance information in 3D space on a 2D plane and is used in various 3D vision tasks. Many existing depth estimation studies mainly use narrow FoV images, in which a significant portion of the entire scene is lost. In this paper, we propose a technique for generating 360° omnidirectional RGBD images from a sparse set of narrow FoV images. The proposed generative adversarial network based image generation model estimates the relative FoV for the entire panoramic image from a small number of non-overlapping images and produces a 360° RGB and depth image simultaneously. In addition, it shows improved performance by configuring a network reflecting the spherical characteristics of the 360° image.

  • Land characteristics should be surveyed in an accurate and objective manner as they are important data to the formation of land prices. The ambiguous survey and estimation guidelines, however, make it possible for surveyors to intervene with their subjective judgments. There is thus a definite need for improvement. It is also extremely important to survey the characteristics of individual land lots in an accurate and objective manner in order to estimate officially assessed land prices in a swift and accurate way. For objective land appraisal and evaluation, this study set out to objectively identify the characteristics of lots according to various topographical conditions by using UAV based high quality geospatial information, panorama VR images, and GIS analysis technique and thus make a contribution to a rational and consistent estimation system of officially assessed land prices. Trying to assess the technique proposed in the study, the investigator analyzed the old data about the officially assessed land prices of the subject areas and then the evaluation data of certified public appraisers.
