  • In this paper, Web server is built up using PXA255, 32bit RISC processor with porting Embedded Linux and GoAhead HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) web server, and the system which can monitor and control the environment and condition for AICC(Automatic Intelligent Cruise Control) is realized For sensing the operation condition and change of vehicle the desired data is derived by interfacing ECU(Electric Control Unit) and Embedded system and the rpm of engine is controlled by step motor connected to throttle valve.

  • In order to decrease the power consumption in Embedded Linux environment based on XScale PXA255, We produce the device driver of DFS(Dynamic Frequency Scaling) technique, design and implement the middleware DFM(Dynamic Frequency Management) to scale the power of embedded target board with porting this device drive, suggest the method to reduce the Embedded system's power consumption.

  • Mobile Telemedicine uses common technologies that provide a conduit for information exchange between physicians nurses and patients. In addition to patient records, medical professionals will obtain vital signs and other reference data through Ubiquitous Sensor networks(USN). In this paper about a design and implementation of RFID reader platform that received RFID tag information from patients tags, transmit the data to SBC(Single board computer) based on Intel PXA255 ARM CPU and SBC transmit the data to MySQL server in hospital using by Wireless Internet. his system that based on Embedded Linux is composed of RFID module, ARM processor, RS-232 interface, and Wireless LAN. This paper also provides a brief overview and concept of RFID reader, and proposes the design and implementations of the RFID reader platform used QT and MySQL based on Embedded Linux.

  • We have designed LED display system using ARM7TDMI processor and implemented hangul input and output. This system is easily extensible because controller board and LED matrix board were designed one module. Possible Input Methods of LED display system are PC, PDA and remote controller's wired and wireless communication. We have ported QT/Embedded 2.3.7 with touch panel Input at embedded board of Linux OS 2.4.18 and PXA255 Processor based. QT Application which we coded is able to input displaying text using ethernet communication on embedded system. Many of indicating text data is able to be saved because only korean alphabet codes are stored for data which users want displaying.

  • Conventional geological survey utilizes the manual compass for mass amount of measurements of the geologic structure. Portable multifunction digital compass system was required by more detailed geological survey, due to increasing construction for rock slopes and runnels. In this paper, the system was implemented by using Intel PXA 255 embedded board as a system controller, and was composed of tilting sensor, digital azimuth sensor, and Global Positioning System (GPS) module. After the measured location, strike, and the angle of dip with our implemented system were transmitted to Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or notebook, these data could be used for geologic structure analysis. It is expected that the availability of cheap and improved digital compass will reduce the coast and time of geological survey extensively.

  • In this paper, diskless personal multimedia player(PMP) that can access and decode the remote large multimedia data is implemented via wireless network. To implement this, WLAN based NFS protocol is used to connect PMP to the remote server and text image and movie files are decoded and played using ARM9 cored PXA255 embedded processor and Linux OS. The fuction and performance of the PMP is evaluated and verified using variuos types of contents. Linux kernel elements are configured and built in according to the hardware and software on the target board to install on the target board. The confirming result shows the required functions and performances.

  • I proposed wireless ordering system using Qt embedded. This system will make the good use of real life applications and make fit for practical use. I embodied data input, transfer, gathering and back-transfer on wireless network using TCP/IP protocol on QSocket provided by Qt. Server environment is Linux 9.0 and gcc-2.95.3 on PC, and three target-boards consist PXA255 processor with wireless-LAN card which communicate through wireless access pointer. Software tools on target-board are gcc, tmake, qt-X11, qt-embedded and etc. I designed touch-screen interface for user convenience.

  • In this paper, we describe the implementation of the digital photo frame system that displays the images coming through the memory card of a digital camera. Each image can be recorded with voice in this system, and a function of the mp3 player is implemented as well. We use Intel PXA255 to control the system and modify the bootloader and linux kernel. Also we adapt device driver for this system. For the realization of image display, voice recording and mp3 playing in the basis of the linux system, we program some of the Microwindows system configuration files and program applications here. This study will be a good example to access the development of the digital photo frame based on the linux system using less-power and high performed embedded processor.

  • In a u-City project in Busan, public transportation which is one of ITS has been considered. RFID system embedded with PXA255 chip and middleware capable of communicating a server side was developed. To perform data communication link with traffic card, developed system consists of wireless modules that are wireless LAN (IEEE802.11a/b and IEEE802.16. Using developed RFID system and middleware, it is expected that this system becomes a basic infrastructure to support a service of u-Traffic for u-City construction.

  • 본 논문에서는 인텔사의 PXA 255 프로세서에 내장형 운영 시스템을 실장하여 미디어 플레이어의 기능을 구현하고, Wireless LAN(IEEE 802.11b)망을 통한 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 다운로드할 수 있는 시스템 구현을 보였다. 이를 위하여 리눅스 운영 시스템에 미디어 플레이어와 코덱을 크로스 컴파일하여 보드에 실장하고, 사용자의 편의를 위하여 USB 디바이스 지원과 저장용량 확대를 위한 Compact Flash 메모리 디바이스 지원을 보였다. 또한 사용자 인터페이스를 위하여 Qt/E를 이용하여 어플리케이션을 제작함으로서 사용자의 편의성을 도모하였다.
