  • In this paper, the development of the LF power supply for dry scrubber is discussed. 1500kW, 100kHz LF power supply is designed and tested. The main power stage is used for the FB PWM inverter with an LC filter in the secondary circuit. The operation characteristics of LF power supply are verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • Current Source Inverter(CSI) operated in square wave mode is more efficient than the PWM CSI because of increased cost greater complexity of control algorithm, and substantial switching losses EMI. But the square wave output current of CSI rich in low order harmonics produce motor torque ripples. Therefore in this paper describes the active power filters for square wave current compensation of current source induction motor. Also extended current synchronous detection(ECSD) as compensation algorithm is proposed. To confirm the validity o proposed system some simulation results are presented and discussed.

  • 전력용 커패시터는 유도성 부하의 낮은 역률을 보상하기 위해 설치하는 경우가 많지만 전력변환장치에서 발생하는 고조파를 줄이기 위해 수동형 필터로서 리액터와 함께 사용되는 경우도 있다. 수동형 필터는 커패시터와 리액터를 직렬로 연결하여 사용한다. 이때 비선형 부하에서 발생하는 고조파를 흡수하는 역할에서 리액터가 자주 소손 또는 열화 되어 정상적인 수명을 보장받지 못하는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 비선형 부하에 사용되는 있는 수동형 필터를 PWM 인버터의 다이오드 정류기 전단에 설친 운전할 경우 받을 수 있는 전기적인 스트레스를 해석하였다.

  • This paper proposes an inverter for the grid-connected photovoltaic system based on the transformer-less inverter. This system consists of a high frequency inverter bridge, high frequency transformer, diode bridge rectifiers, a DC filter, a low frequency inverter bridge, and an AD filter. The high frequency inverter bridge switching at 20kHz is used to generate bipolar PWM pulse, which is subsequently rectified by diode bridge rectifiers to result in a full-wave rectified sine wave. Finally, it is unfolded by a low frequency inverter bridge to result in a 60Hz sine wave power output. In this paper, the control algorithm for synchronous current feedback control method and a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method using DSP are described. And, the simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the validity of the proposed system.

  • In this paper, a control algorithm for active power filter (APF), which compensates for the harmonics and power factor, boosting the DC-link voltage is proposed. The proposed scheme employs a pulse-width-modulation (PWM) voltage-source inverter. A simple algorithm to detect the load current harmonics is also proposed. The APF and charging circuit are implemented in one inverter system. Finally, the validity of the proposed scheme is investigated with simulated and experimental results for a prototype APF system rated at 3kVA.

  • 일반적으로 AC DC PWM컨버터에서 입력단에 LCL 필터를 사용한다. LCL 필터 경우 L, C의 공진현상 때문에 스위칭 주파수 선정과 LCL소자 파라메터 선정에 신중함이 요구된다. 시스템의 안정도에 문제가 된다. 본 논문에서는 공진 현상을 억제 시킬 수 있는 방법으로 디지털 저역통과필터 이용하여 능동댐핑 기법을 적용한 전류 제어기를 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션 통하여 제안된 기법의 타당성을 입증하였다.

A Fault Detection and Diagnosis in a PWR Steam Generator (PWM 증기발생기의 고장검출 및 진단에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a fault detection and diagnosis scheme that can monitor process fault and instrument fault of a steam generator. The suggested scheme consists of a Kalman filter and two bias estimators. Method of detecting process and instrument fault in a steam generator uses the mean test on the residual sequence of Kalman filter, designed for the unfailed system, to make a fault decision. Once a fault is detected, two bias estimators are driven to estimate the fault and to discriminate process fault and instrument fault. In case of process fault, the fault diagnosis of outlet temperature, feed-water heater and main steam control value is considered. In instrument fault, the fault diagnosis of steam genrator's three instruments is considered. Computer simulation tests show that on-line prompt fault detection and diagnosis can be performed very successfully.

  • To control the speed of IPMSM drives it is necessary to know the speed and the rotor position. This is normally done by measurement of this values with electromechenical sensors. In this paper, a new approach to the position elimination method for the high performance variable speed IPMSM drives with the current controlled PWM technique is presented. For the high performance drive capability in the speed region, a Extended Kalman filter algorithm is adopted to estimate the rotor position as well as the angular velocity for the practical sensorless IPMSM drives. The high performance drive characteristics of the proposed method are verified using the wide simulation.

Finally, it is unfolded by a low frequency inverter bridge to result in a 60Hz sine wave power output. Even though the high frequency link system needs more power semiconductors, a reduced size, light weight, and saved parts cost make this system more comparative than the other systems due to elimination of 60Hz transformer.

  • This paper proposed a regeneration inverter system, which can regenerate the excessive power form dc bus line to ac source for traction system. The proposed regeneration inverter system for dc traction can reduce harmonics which are include to ac current source. The regenerative inverter is operated as two modes. As a regeneration inverter mode, it can recycle regenerative energy caused by decelerating tractions and as an active power filter mode, it can compensate for harmonic distortion produced by the rectifier substation. In the paper, a regeneration inverter used PWM DC/AC converter algorithm. And an active power filter used p-q theory. The simulation was composed as a prototype model[3kW]. Simulation results show that two algorithm can be used to real model[100kW]. Finally, the inverter was successfully operated as regeneration mode.
