Finite Element Analysis of Electromechanical Field of a Spindle Motor in a Computer Hard Disk Drive Considering Speed Control Using PWM and Mechanical Flexibility (PWM에 의한 속도 제어와 유연 구조를 고려한 컴퓨터 하드디스크 드라이브용 스핀들 모터의 기전 연성 유한 요소 해석)

  • This paper presents a finite element analysis of the electromechanical field in the spindle motor of a computer hard disk drive considering the speed control and mechanical flexibility. The driving circuit equation is modified by considering the switching action of PWM inverter, and is coupled with the Maxwell equation to obtain the nonlinear time-stepping finite element equation for the analysis of magnetic field. Magnetic force and torque are calculated by the Maxwell stress tensor. Mechanical motion of a rotor is determined by a time-stopping finite element method considering the flexibility of shaft, rotor and bearing. Both magnetic and mechanical finite element equations are combined in the closed loop to control the speed using PWM. Simulation results are verified by the experiments, and they are in food agreement with the experimental results.

  • This paper proposes a four times DC-link voltage PWM power converter, which is constructed by four cascade connected power switching devices. such as IGBT. These four switching devices are controlled by a sinusoidal PWM method to obtain a DC-link voltage. which is higher than 4 times the peak supply voltage, and to suppress input current harmonic components. achieving a sinusoidal current waveform with less than $3[\%]$ distortion. Which is also constructed by four cascade connected IGBT. by the simulation result.

  • This paper presents a simple modified unipolar carrier-based pulsewidth modulation (CB-PWM) strategy for the three-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) voltage source inverter (VSI). Analytical expressions for the relationship between modulation reference signals and output voltages are derived. The proposed modulation technique for the three-level NPC VSI includes the maximum and minimum of the three-phase sinusoidal reference voltages with zero-sequence voltage injection concept. The proposed modified CB-PWM strategy incorporates a novel method that requires only of one triangular carrier wave for generate the gating pulses in three-level NPC VSI. It has the advantages of being simplifying the algorithm with no need of complex two/multi-carrier pulsewidth modulation or space vector modulation (SVM) and it's also simple to implement. The possibility of the proposed CB-PWM technique has been verified though computer simulation and experimental results.

  • 기존의 단방향 동작만 고려한 인버터에서 반송파 기반 PWM 방식의 중성점 전압 제어기법을 양방향 동작의 인버터에 그대로 적용할 경우 역방향 동작에서 중성점 전압이 오히려 벌어지는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 구현이 간단한 반송파 기반 PWM 방식의 중성점 전압 제어기법을 양방향 인버터에 적용하여 인버터의 전류 방향에 상관없이 하나의 제어기로 구현된 제어기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 양방향 모드전환 시에도 끊김없는 제어가 가능하고 초기 동작과 무부하 동작에서도 중성점 전압의 불평형을 제거할 수 있다. 양방향 T-type 인버터를 제작하여 본 논문에서 제안한 제어기법을 검증 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 3-Level NPC(Neutral Point Clamped) 인버터에서 ZDPWM(Zero Dead Time Pulse Width Modulation) 기법에 대해서 제안한다. 3-Level NPC 인버터에서 기존 PWM 기법은 각 스위치는 서로 상보적인 동작을 수행하고, 반도체 스위칭 소자 특성상 Rise Time과 Fall Time의 시간차이로 인하여 단락사고를 방지하기 위해 스위칭 신호의 Rising Edge에 데드타임을 인가하여 단락을 방지한다. 그러나 이러한 데드타임은 지령 스위칭 신호와 실제 스위칭 신호의 오차로 인하여 출력 전압 및 전류에 왜곡이 발생하고, 이러한 왜곡으로 인하여 시스템의 오작동 및 직류링크단 전압의 불평형의 원인이 된다. 제안하는 PWM기법은 지령전압과 출력전류의 위상에 따라 영역을 나눈 후 전류의 방향에 따라 옵셋 전압을 생성하여 새로운 지령전압을 만들어 각 스위치에 스위칭 신호를 인가한다. 제안한 기법에 타당성을 증명하기 위해 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

  • This paper proposes a novel PWM technique for a three phase current fad type converters. A minor loop compensation method is introduced to compensate leading current and to minimize input line current (Iu) distortion resulting from the resonance between AC filter capacitor and source inductance of power system. This PWM converter has excellent characterics as next. The control system is simply designed, and the operation with unity power factor can be easily obtained by automatic compensating the leading current of the filter circuit. Also. the three phase sinusoidal input current can be obtained.

  • The major system of an agricultural power-shift tractor is the transmission, using power-shift. Because the transmission performance depends on the hydraulic control system, the most important aspect of the optimization is the design of the hydraulic control system. This study was conducted to improve a pressure modulation characteristics of the power-shift transmission hydraulic system. It has been tried to replace an existing pressure modulation method with a digital control by using HSSV(High Speed Solenoid Valve). The performance of the PWM control system in power-shift hydraulic transmission has been evaluated by means of experiment.

  • 본 논문에서는 옵셋 전압을 이용한 3레벨 인버터의 불연속 PWM 방법을 제안한다. 스위칭 상태에 따른 3레벨 인버터의 출력전압을 벡터공간에서 도시하여 전압 변조 지수에 따른 DC 레일 및 중성단 클램핑 가능 영역을 분석한다. 이를 바탕으로, 3상 전압 지령 크기를 입력으로 받아 중성단의 클램핑 가능 여부를 판별하고 원하는 지점으로 클램핑 시켜주는 옵셋 전압 생성부를 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 공간 벡터 전압 변조 방식에 비해 간단하며, 기존 2레벨 인버터의 불연속 PWM 방식을 기반으로 하므로 구현에 용이하다. 시뮬레이션 및 실험으로 이론의 타당성 및 효과를 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, a DC converter to improve the performance of Power LED system is discussed. The mathematical model of PWM converter power stage using 3-Terminal PWM cell is introduced for power LED system. A controller for DC converter system is used as a self-tunning regulator with a recursive least-squares algorithm. Minimum variance control method is used as a control law. Experiment results verified that proposed control system could improve the performance of Power LED system.

  • The analysis and simulation are the method to study the behavior, response, and specification of the driver device. This paper proposes brushless DC drive which using the vector control technique. The encoder is used detect the rotor position and decode to Three-phase step signal. The step signal is modulated with triangle signal and change to the pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The PWM signal is used for control the input power of the motor based on the vector control technique. The experimental results of the driver circuit and motor response performed under the following condition: as the motor was started, change the load torque, and vary the supply voltage. The experimental performs with a dynamometer and the test results are compared to the simulation method is the same result.
