This paper is to study the effects of some PSTN(public switched telephone network) related services on PSTN usages. We found a strong relationship between the number of subscribed services and PSTN usages. The more a user subscribes, the more he/she spends on PSTN. We also found a relationship between the number of subscriptions and whether to subscribe a new introduced service. A user with more subscriptions is likely to adpot a new introduced service.

현재 육상과 해상간의 통신은 Inmarsat 단말기를 이용하여 전화, 텔렉스, 팩스, 전자메일(E-mail) 및 데이터 통신을 한다. 기존 전자메일 프로그램은 비싼 통신요금과 저속의 위성통신 환경에서 최대한 통신비용을 줄이기 위한 목적으로 개발되었다. 그리고 팩스를 이용하는 경우는, 관련문서를 출력 후 송신하기 때문에 출력시간과 비용 면에서 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 육상과 해상간의 전자메일 시스템과 팩스 기능을 통합한 육상과 해상을 모두 지원하는 인터넷 기반의 팩스 서비스 시스템에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 기존 전자메일 시스템과 공중전화망(PSTN : Public Switched Telephone Network)을 연결하는 하드웨어적인 모듈을 설계하였다.

The Communication Processing Systems(CPS) is a gateway that supports 01410 hitel service by connecting the public switched telephone network(PSTN) with the public switched data network(PSDN). The CPS is made the meausred rate accounting method for the biling after extracting the originating numbers from the nearest local PSTN. In this paper, a numerical simulation is carried out on the offered traffic per user on the telephone access part of the CPS according to change of call loss probability and also propose the proper number of channels based on the simulation results.

현재 육상과 해상간의 통신은 Inmarsat 단말기를 이용하여 전화, 텔렉스, 팩스, 전자메일(E-mail) 및 데이터 통신을 한다. 기존 전자메일 프로그램은 비싼 통신요금과 저속의 위성통신 환경에서 최대한 통신비용을 줄이기 위한 목적으로 개발되었다. 그리고 팩스를 이용하는 경우는 관련문서를 출력 후, 송신하기 때문에 시간과 비용이 낭비된다. 이에 현재 많은 나라에서 Inmarsat을 이용한 육상과 선박간의 서로 다른 네트워크 상의 정보를 공유할 수 있는 방법을 모색하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 육상과 해상간의 전자메일 시스템과 팩스 기능을 통합한 육상과 해상을 모두 지원하는 인터넷 기반의 팩스 서비스 시스템에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 기존 전자메일 시스템과 공중전화망(PSTN : Public Switched Telephone Network)을 연결하는 하드웨어적인 모듈을 설계하였다.

The objective of this paper is to evaluate the equilibrium price between PSTN and VoIP telephony services in the case of non-linear utility function. Currently there are two types of wired phone services we are known PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). The PSTN telephony which provide high quality service and VoIP which provides relatively low quality service form a vertically differentiated oligopoly. Therefore, the evaluation of the equilibrium price between PSTN and VoIP services is very important to wired phone service providers. The equilibrium price depends on the state of the service cost function has been proved different value. This paper was evaluated each equilibrium price for the state of the linear cost function and non-linear cost function. Subsequently, this paper analyzed the demand of both services and the equilibrium profit which can maximize the profit of both service providers.

In this paper, we seek to find an optimal allocation of link capacity in a data communication network. The architecture of the data communication network considered in the study is an online-service network based on public switched telephone network(PSTN) and packet switched data network(PSDN). In designing the architecture of the network, we need to deal with various measures of quality of service(QoS). Two important service measures are the call blocking probability in PSTN and the data transfer delay time in PSDN. Considering the tradeoff between the call blocking probability and the data transfer delay time in the network, we have developed the optimal link capacity allocation model that minimizes the total link cost, while guarantees the call blocking probability and the data transfer delay time within an acceptable level of QoS. This problem can be formulated as a non-linear integer programming model. We have solved the problem with tabu search and simulated annealing methods. In addition, we have analyzed the sensitivity of the model and provided the insight of the model along with computational results.

언제, 어디서나, 누구와도' 통신이 가능하게 한다는 궁극적인 목표를 가지고 통신의 개인화가 연구되고 있으며, 통신 선진국에서는 PCS를 실현하기 위한 PSTN(Public Switching Telephone Network) 접근 방법의 초기 단계로 CT2 (Cordless Telephone 2)의 개발과 시험망 운영을 하고 있거나 이미 서비스를 상용화하고 있다. CT2는 1989년 영국에서 제안되었고 1992년 유럽 표준 (I-ETS 300-131)으로 채택된 후 유럽 각국과 홍콩이나 싱가포르 같은 도시 국가에서 활성화 되어 많은 가입자들이 이용하고 있다. CT2 이용자는 도로, 지하철 혹은 공공 장소에서는 PSTN에 연결된 CT2 기지국에 접속되어 발신 위주의 휴대 전화 서비스를 받을 수 있으며, 가정에서는 우리가 현재 사용하고 있는 무선 전화기와 동일하게 사용할 수 있는 소출력 휴대 전화 서비스로 단말기의 이동성이 어느 정도 실현된 서비스이다. 국내 CT2 사업자는 1993년 12월 체신부로 부터 시범 사업 계획의 승인을 얻어 주파수 대역 910-914 MHz에서 1995년 서울 지역에 서비스 상용화를 목표로 여의도에 시험망 운용과 함께 연구되고 있다. 본 고에서는 CT2 서비스의 일반적인 개요와 특성 그리고 제외국의 CT2 동향을 고찰해봄으로써, CT2는 어떤 서비스이며 CT2의 기술 기준 마련과 무선 인터페이스 측정 및 분석 방법을 연구하는 데 기초로 삼고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 가정에서 블루투스 장비를 이용하여 액세스 네트워크에 접속하기 위한 블루투스 접속장비(AP)의 개발을 제안한다. 헤드셋, 마우스, 키보드 등과는 달리 AP는 다중 접속 및 안정된 네트워크 처리량을 유지할 수 있는 능력을 갖추어야 한다. 제안된 AP는 다양한 종류의 블루투스 장비들이 xDSL이나 PSTN으로 이루어진 액세스 네트워크에 안정적으로 접속하게 한다. 특히, 가정 내에서 AP는 사용자들이 one-Phone-블루투스 모듈이 포함된 셀룰러 전화기-을 이용하여 상대적으로 비싼 CDMA 네트워크 대신 PSTN에 접속할 수 있게 한다.

본 논문에서는 PC통신망에서의 호손률을 분석하였다. PC통신망에서 전화망으로부터 발생한 호는 먼저 패킷교환망과 전화망을 연결해 주는 통신처리장치로 접속을 요구한다. 이어서 이 단계로 패킷교환망에 접속되어 있는 특정 데이타베이스로 다음의 패킷호가 요구된다. 호손률의 분석은 이상에서 두 접속링크, 통신처리장치의 전화망접속포트와 데이타베이스의 패킷교환망 접속링크에서 이루어졌다. 또한 수치결과를 통하여 시스템 변수가 망의 성능에 미치는 영향으르 살펴보았으며 각 접속점의 용량이 다른 접속저의 성능에 미치는 영향을 볼 수 있었다.

국가 기반망의 중심인 PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network)을 구성하는 핵심 장치 인 중계교환기는 과거의 단순 음성 호 처리뿐 아니라 지능망 호 및 이동 호 서비스를 위한 추가적인 처리 기능이 부가됨으로 인해 과거에 예측하지 못한 과부하 현상이 종종 발생되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 음성 호만을 고려한 중계교환기 과부하 제어 기능만으로는 현재의 교환기에서 망 내의 트래픽 폭주를 올바르게 제어 할 수 없다는 한계점을 제시하고 이를 해결하기 위해, 다양한 호의 특성에 따른 과부하 제어 및 예방적 폭주 제어 기능 중 하나인 망 관리 제어 기능과의 연계를 통한 효율적인 중계교환기 과부하 제어 알고리듬을 제시하였다. 제안된 과부하 제어 알고리듬에서는 과부하 상태 발생 시 무조건 적인 호 제한을 하지 않고 과부하를 유발시키는 호의 종류를 구분하여 과부하에 미치는 영향의 정도에 따른 선택적 호 제한 기능을 사용하였다. 이러한 알고리듬을 통해 과부하 상태에서도 긴급 호와 같은 중요한 호들은 제한을 하지 않도록 할 수 있는 효과도 함께 나타내었다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 본 논문에서 제안된 알고리듬은 다양한 형태의 호들이 입력되는 과부하 조건하에서도 효과적으로 호를 제어하여 중계교환기의 상태를 정상으로 유지함을 볼 수 있었다.
