Characteristics Control of Thickness Vibration Mode Piezoelectric Vibrator Using Negative Impedance Converter Circuit (부임피던스 회로를 이용한 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자의 특성제어)

  • 전극분할 된 횡진동 모드 압전 진동자에 NIC 회로를 적용한 특성제어 방법을 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자에 적용하여 그 가능성을 확인해 보았다. 동일한 특성을 가진 두 개의 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자를 분극방향이 서로 마주보게 제작한 다음, NIC 회로를 적용하여 그 실험결과를 PSpice 모델을 이용한 시뮬레이션과 비교하였다. 그 결과 NIC 회로의 저항 $R-s$,의 변화에 따라 두께 진동 모드 압전 진동자의 품질계수는 제어되었으며, NIC 회로를 적용하지 않은 경우보다 품질계수가 약 18.9배 정도 향상되었다.

  • A 4:1 Time Division Multiplexer(MUX) had been designed in using GaAs Source Coupled FET Logic(SCFL), Designed Multiplexer uses a time division frequency divider and two stage of singnal combining 2:1 multiplexer. The performance of the multiplexer is verified by PSPICE simulation. Designed circuit operates up to 12.5Gbit/s with a power dissipation of 192mW. These performance are more advanced than other reported multiplexer in the speed and power dissipation.

  • In this paper, a novel zero-voltage-switching(ZVS) resonant DC-DC converter is proposed. It is composed of two symmetrical active-clamped circuits, the converter can be achieve ZVS in each switches. Also, active clamp capacitor ratios($\alpha$) of proposed circuit can be reduce a peak stress of switching voltage for each main switch. Simulation results using Pspice 9.2 ver and $C^{++}$ characteristic analysis show a provement for the validity of theoretical analysis. The analysis of the proposed Current-Fed Push Pull type DC-DC converter is generally described by using normalized parameter, and achieved an evaluated characteristic values which is needed to design a circuit. We confirm a rightfulness theoretical analysis by comparing a theoretical values and experimental values obtained from experiment using MOSFET as switching devices.

  • The electrical separation joint as a filter circuit distributes the track circuit frequency. The electrical separation joint is classified into the interval where reinforcing bars are insulated and not insulated through the length of track circuit. In case of incorrectly setting up the length of electrical separation joint, the amplitude of current on the track circuit is not over standard current which is the standard of current on the track circuit and it effects on the close frequency on track circuit. Then, it makes an accident or makes a train not receive information for train control. In this paper, the electrical separation joint model is suggested and parameters are numerically calculated in the model. Moreover, the length of electrical separation joint is analyzed and is demonstrated by uisng Matlab and PSpice program.

  • This paper describes the restructuring of power electronics and electric drives courses, sponsored by NSF, EPRI, NASA and the local utilities, which has significantly increased student enthusiasm, and the undergraduate enrollment in these courses at the University of Minnesota has tripled since 1997. The developed leaching approaches have been the subject of NSF-sponsored faculty workshops in 1994, 1997, 1998,2002, and 2003. In power electronics, the power-pole based building-block approach unifies analysis and control aspects of all converters. PSpice-based simulations aid in analysis and design, supported by a hardware laboratory. For electric drives, an integrative approach addressing all three aspects of electric drives - machines, power converters and control is being. used. Space vectors, introduced on a physical basis rather than purely mathematical ions, are used fur analysis of ac machines. This leads to a more physical understanding of machine operation and also makes it easier to address control aspects in the advanced course. The lecture materials are supported by a DSP-based laboratory.

Automatic Power Factor Correction Using a Harmonic-Suppressed TCR Equipped with a New Adaptive Current Controller

  • In this paper, a new continuously and linearly controlled capacitive static VAR compensator is proposed for the automatic power factor correction of inductive single phase loads in 220V 50Hz power system networks. The compensator is constructed of a harmonic-suppressed TCR equipped with a new adaptive current controller. The harmonic-suppressed TCR is a new configuration that includes a thyristor controlled reactor (TCR) shunted by a passive third harmonic filter. In addition, the parallel configuration is connected to an AC source via a series first harmonic filter. The harmonic-suppressed TCR is designed so that negligible harmonic current components are injected into the AC source. The compensator is equipped with a new adaptive closed loop current controller, which responds linearly to reactive current demands. The no load operating losses of this compensator are negligible when compared to its capacitive reactive current rating. The proposed system is validated on PSpice which is very close in terms of performance to real hardware.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 Pspice를 이용하여 SI Thyristor의 구조적인 특징과 스위칭 동작을 설명하면서도 비교적 간략화된 등가 모델을 개발하는 것에 있다. 이러한 목표로 등가모델은 SI Thyristor의 구조적 형태에 기반을 두어 BJT 소자를 이용한다. 또 게이트 구조와 스위칭 매커니즘을 고려한 MOSFET, Steady state Turn on 상태에서 dominant 모델인 PIN Diode로 구성되어 있다. 개발된 등가모델을 스너버회로와 함께 스위칭 과도응답을 시뮬레이션하였으며 그 결과는 실제 실험결과와 비교하여 검증하였다. 비교적 간단하게 고안된 회로를 통해 Turn On/off 동작에서 스위칭 특성을 예측할 수 있으므로 펄스파워용 스위치로서 SI Thyristor의 시동특성을 해석하는 데 본 등가모델을 활용할 수 있을 것으로 전망한다.

  • 본 논문은 IPM의 구동부, 과열, 과전류, 단락 및 제어부의 부족전압 제어하는 IC의 설계중 Over-Temperature protection기능에 대한 것으로서 기존의 온도센서나 과열검출 Tr을 사용하지 않고, 온도에 따른 MOSFET의 Rds(on)변화를 검출하여 과열을 방지하는 Direct Over Temperature protection기능을 PSpice를 이용하여 modelling하고 simulation 한 결과에 대해서 기술하였다.

  • Transient GPR characteristics of two different grounding systems were measured in this paper. The scale model method was used to analyze the effectiveness of bonding two grounding grids systems. Also the measured results were verified by comparing with Pspice analysis results.

  • A FB-ZVS(Full Bridge Zero Voltage Switching) PWM DC/DC converter for electric vehicles is simulated and implemented in this paper. The converter considered is a step-down DC/DC converter with the ratings of 312/13.5V and 1.35kW. The steady state operation of this converter is divided into six operating modes in case of continuous current mode and eight operating modes in case of discontinuous current mode. Digital simulations using PSpice are carried out to verify the steady-state analysis. A prototype converter was built in the laboratory. MOSFETs were used for swithching devices and fast recovery diodes to reduce the charge storage problem of a pn-junction.
