A new technology for reducing photolithography process from a four step to a three step process in the fabrication of TFT LCD is introduced. The core technology for 3-mask-TFT processes is the lift-off process [1], by which the PAS and PXL layers can be formed simultaneously. A different method of the lift-off process was developed in order to enhance the performance of efficiency with conventional positive and not negative PR which is the generally used in other lift-off process. In addition, the removal capacity of the ITO/PR in lift-off process was evaluated. The evaluation results showed that the new process can be run in conventional TFT production condition. In order to apply this new process in existing TFT process, several tests were conducted to ensure stability of the TFT process. It was found that the outgases from PR on the substrate in ITO sputtering chamber do not raise any problem, and the deposited ITO film beside the PR has conventional ITO qualities. Furthemore, the particles that were produced due to the ITO chips in PR strip bath could be reduced by the existing filtering system of stripper. With the development of total process and design of the structure for TFT using this technology, 3-mask-panels were achieved in TN and IPS modes, which showed the same display performances as those with the conventional 4mask process. The applicability and usefulness of the 3-mask process has already verified in the mass production line and in fact it currently being used for the production of some products.

Research was initiated to investigate early establislment characteristics and germination pattern of perennial ryegrass (PR, Lolium perenne L.). Eight varieties of PR were evaluated in the study. An alternative environmental condition for a PR germination test required by International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) was applied in the experiment, consisting of 8-hr light at $25^{\circ}C$ and 16-hr dark at $15^{\circ}C$ (ISTA conditions). Daily and cumulative germination pattern were measured and analyzed daily for 30 days. Significant differences were observed in germination pattern, days to the first germination, days to 50% germination, days to 75% germination, and final germination rate. Germination rates were variable among the varieties, being 66.00 to 93.75% at the end of study. There were considerable variations in early germination characteristics and germination pattern among PR varieties. The first germination in all entries tested was initiated from 3 to 5 DAS (days after seeding) under ISTA conditions, being 2 days in differences among the varieties. It was 4 to 7 DAS in days to the 50% germination, being 1 to 3 days later from the first germination and three days were variable among them. Days to the 75% germination were 5.93 to 10.50 DAS under ISTA conditions, being 4.57 days in variety differences. Pennant II and Brightstar II were the fastest varieties. The slowest ones were Revenge GLX and Brightstar SLT. Considering days to the first germination, days to 75% germination, and germination pattern etc, Pennant II and Brightstar II were regarded as excellent varieties under ISTA conditions. From tills study, information on differences in germination characteristics and pattern would be usefully applied for golf course design and construction, when established with PR.
Antisense construct of cDNA for senescencerelated ACC oxidase (CAO) cDNA isolated from carnation flowers were introduced into tobacco by Agrobacteriummediated transformation. The decreasing expression of NtACO and the reduction of ethylene production were observed in these transgenic lines. In contrast, the SAMDC transcripts and spermidine content were increased. The findings that higher content of spermidine in the ethylene suppressed transgenic plants compared with wild-type should be directly resulted in the enhancement of SAMDC activity followed by the increased accumulation of SAMDC transcript. To investigate the pathogenic response in these transgenic plants, wild-type and transgenic plants were inoculated with Phytophthora parasitica pv. nicotianae. Transgenic plants suppressing ethylene production showed the increased resistance against fungal pathogen, comparing with wild-type plant. PR-protein genes expression in CAO-AS-2 and CAOAS-4 were also higher at the normal growth condition and pathogenic response than in wild-type plants. The results of higher spermidine content and SAMDC activity in transgenic plants, CAO-AS-2 and CAO-AS-4, support the possibility that an increase in spermidine content might induce the higher transcripts of PR-protein genes. This results agreed with the phenomena that spermidine promoted the expression of PR1a and a SAMDC inhibitor, MGBG, decreased the expression of PR1a in leaf discs. These results suggest that the resistance against fungal pathogen in transgenic tobacco impaired in ethylene production might be caused by increasing in polyamine, especially spermidine, biosynthesis.

We have isolated and artificially expressed three cDNA clones of Capsicum annuum PR5 genes for elucidating the antifungal activity against Phytophthora capsici which contracted a hot pepper root rot in field condition. Three divergent PR5 proteins from hot pepper were designated as CAPR5-1 and CAPR5-2 from susceptible cultivar (Subicho) as well as CAPR5-3 from resistant cultivar (CM331) in response to P. capsici. The cDNA similarity was found over 80% of identity among the three CAPR5s, and deduced amino acid sequence was characterized that all of CAPR5s contained 16 cysteine residues which possibly had a significant role in the structural formation. The result of genomic DNA blot showed that CAPR5-1 and CAPR5-2 existed as single copy in the Subicho genome. Three recombinant CPARs in E. coli were identified by SDS-PACE, and each expressed protein was treated on the PDA medium which contained cultured pathogens. Although three CAPR5 proteins did not affected the hyphal growth of Glomerella glycines and Colletotrichum fagenarium, CAPR5-1, CAPR5-2, and CAPR5-3 showed a specific antifungal activities against P. capsici.
Accuracy of the scaling function is very crucial in wavelet theory, or correspondingly, in the study of wavelet filter banks. We are mainly interested in vector-valued filter banks having matrix factorization and indicate how to choose block central symmetric matrices to construct multi-wavelets with suitable accuracy.
Titania powders were obtained from the various hydrolysis condition the variation of Alkoxide, water/Alcohol, REaction, Temp., reaction time and solvent system were investigated. In this result, spherical monodisperesed titania gel powders(≒0.7${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) were obtained using EtOH(as solvent), and this method had rapid reaction time compare with iso-PrOH(as solvent).
Here, we show that an endophytic bacterial strain, Enterobacter asburiae B1 exhibits the ability to elicit ISR in cucumber, tobacco and Arabidopsis thaliana. This indicates that strain B1 has a widespread ability to elicit ISR on various host plants. In this study, E. asburiae strain B1 did not show antifungal activity against tested major fungal pathogens, Colletotrichum orbiculare, Botrytis cinerea, Phytophthora capsici, Rhizoctonia solani, and Fusarium oxysporum. Moreover, the siderophore production by E. asburiae strain B1 was observed under in vitro condition. In greenhouse experiments, the root treatment of strain B1 significantly reduced disease severity of cucumber anthracnose caused by fungal pathogen C. orbiculare compared to nontreated control plants. By root treatment of strain B1 more than 50% disease control against anthracnose on cucumber was observed in all greenhouse experiments. Simultaneously, under the greenhouse condition, the soil drench of strain B1 and a chemical inducer benzothiadiazole (BTH) to tobacco plants induced GUS activity which is linked with activation of PR promoter gene. Furthermore, in Arabidopsis thaliana plants the soil drench of strain B1 induced the defense gene expression of PR1 and PDF1.2 related to salicylic acid and jasmonic acid/ethylene signaling pathways, respectively. In this study, for the main focus on root colonization by strain B1 associated with defense responses, bacterial cells of strain B1 was tagged with the gfp gene encoding the green fluorescent protein in order to determine the colonization pattern of strain B1 in cucumber. The gfp-tagged B1 cells were found on root surface and internal colonization in root, stem, and leaf. In addition to this, the scanning electron microscopy observation showed that E. asburiae strain B1 was able to colonized cucumber root surface.
This paper describes the fabrication process to fabricate metallic structure of high aspect ratio using LlGA-like process. SU-8 is used as an electroplating mold. SU-8 is an epoxy-based photoresist, designed for ultrathick PR structure with single layer coating [1,2]. We can get more than $100{\mu}m$ thick layer by single coating with conventional spin coater, and applying multiple coating can make thicker layers. In the experiments, we used different kinds of SU-8, having different viscosity. To optimize the conditions for mold fabrication process, experiments are performed varying spinning time and speed, soft-bake, develop and PEB (Post Expose Bake) condition. With the optimized condition, minimum line and space of $3{\mu}m$ pattern with a thickness of $40{\mu}m$ and $4{\mu}m$ pattern with a thickness of $130{\mu}m$ were obtained. Using the patterned PR as a plating mold, metallic structure was fabricated by electroplating. We have fabricated a electroplated nickel comb actuator using SU-8 as plating mold. The thickness of PR mold is $45{\mu}m$ and that of plated nickel is$40{\mu}m$. Minimum line of the mold is $5{\mu}m$. Patterned metallic layer or polymer layer, which has selectivity with the structural plated metallic layer, can be used as sacrificial layer for fabrication of free-standing structure.
To track the sinusoidal current under stationary frame and suppress the effects of low-order grid harmonics, the multi-resonant quasi-proportional plus resonant (PR) controller has been extensively used for digitally controlled LCL-type pulse-width modulation (PWM) converters with capacitor-current-feedback active damping. However, designing the controller is difficult because of its high order and large number of parameters. Moreover, the computation and PWM delays of the digitally controlled system significantly affect damping performance. In this study, the delay effect is analyzed by using the Nyquist diagrams and the system stability constraint condition can be obtained based on the Nyquist stability criterion. Moreover, impact analysis of the control parameters on the current loop performance, that is, steady-state error and stability margin, identifies that different control parameters play different decisive roles in current loop performance. Based on the analysis, a simplified controller design method based on the system specifications is proposed. Following the method, two design examples are given, and the experimental results verify the practicability and feasibility of the proposed design method.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of Puerariae radix(PR) herb-acupuncture on nitric oxide synthase(NOS) expression in hippocampus of alcohol-intoxicated Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats. Methods: SD rats were randomly assigned into 6 groups; normal group, control group, alcohol with herb-acupuncture group(0.3, 3, 30 and 300mg/kg PR). Normal groups were received with NaCl, while alcohol intoxication groups were injected intraperitoneally with alcohol(2g/kg) twice per day for 3 days. Herb-acupuncture groups were injected on Zhongwan(CV12) for 5 consecutive days. For the detection of NADPH-d-positive cells in hippocampus, immunohistochemistry was performed. Results: n control group, a significant decrease in NADPH-d-positive cells was observed compared to normal group. In alcohol with herb-acupuncture group, NADPH-d-positive cells increased significantly compared to control group. Conclusions: The present results revealed that NOS expression is enhanced in the hippocampus of SD rats through PR herb-acupuncture in an acute alcoholic intoxication condition.
