Strategic Use of SNS in PR for Improving Trust in Government Policy (정부정책의 신뢰도 제고를 위한 SNS활용 PR 전략)

  • Meanwhile, the governmental organization has been familiar with construction and method of one-way communication focused on public relation. As a result, it is true that there are few customers who have interest in, understand, and actively participate in public policy of the government.However, by propagation of smart phone terminal, public relation of government policy is diversified such as SNS, application manufacture, etc. It paved the way for actively increasing customers' comprehension of relevant information and participation as well. With that background in mind, this research tried to search pattern and feature of SNS strategy through domestic and American examples for improving trustof government policy and find common ground in order to seek for solution to help government office conduct a PR campaign more efficiently through SNS.

  • This study viewed foreign students as a publics that requires active communication, and analyzed the causal relationship between the antecedent variables (professor competency service, university administrative service) and outcome variables (adaptation to university life) of the university-foreign student relationships. As a result, both the professor competency service and the university administrative service were found to have a positive effect on the university-foreign student relationships. Also, the university-foreign student relationships was found to have a positive effect on adaptation to university life. Based on these results, we discussed the need to set the university-foreign student relationship as a major performance indicator and use it as basic data for developing active communication strategies and messages.

  • Situational Crisis communication theory (SCCT), one of the major crisis communication theories, suggests that crisis managers have to choose the most effective crisis response strategy in accordance to the crisis type. Therefore, this study analyzed whether the crisis response strategies of Korea companies are different according to the types of crisis. According to the result of analysis on survey to PR managers, the crisis response strategies are different according to the types of crisis. And the role and function of PR team are different according to the types of crisis, too. This conclusion can contribute to devising SCCT theory and to develop a more Korea relevant theory.

  • This study was carried out to seek communication programs of geo-technology R&D outcome. For this, the following questions were set. 1) How much portion do KIGAM as the main body of geo-technology R&D among articles reported by major newspapers? 2) What are strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat factors of geo-technology R&D outcome from the communication view point? 3) What is the communication tasks and the communication ways for them? In conclusion, the communication programs of geo-technology R&D outcome using SMTCR(Sender-Message-Tool-Channel-Receiver) model were suggested.

  • This study examines the communication status and strategies of geological resource related companies in Korea through the comparison with American companies. Through this analysis, this study is to draw the domestic companies' characteristics and problems on communication, and even to suggest how to execute the communication about geo-technologies at national level. The results indicate that geo-technologies related compaies in Korea don't use a lot of advertising communication as means of providing informations about corporate itself, corporate activities, and it's product, etc. And the companies using advertising communication tend to execute more organization advertising focusing on corporate image than product advertising. The advertising utilized by geological resource related companies is usually targeted at consumers, they don't use advertising endorser actively. And all the companies analyzed in this study have their own website and run it. This study provides some recommendations on communication strategies and executions for various geo-technologies related organizations. For achieving the purpose, this article deals with Monthly Publication of the Disaster Analysis & Prospect pressed by the NEMA and DHS TODAY pressed by the DHS and use to contents analysis as methodology. This study selects sorts, management steps, and learning of disaster which are useful in analyzing contents by the krkwic program. This study suggests how to improve PR System of disaster management focusing on contents of the PR media.

  • SNS users are continuously increasing and SNS is emerging as a major PR channel of government. In particular, SNS can be a useful tool, but also the challenges for risk communication. This study is examined how nuclear regulatory organizations' SNS management and visitors' responses to the facebook pages in Korea and U.S.. Results indicated that both organizations frequently used information-oriented posting. Concerning the types of PR, NSSC tended to mainly use 'Relationship-Management PR', NRC mainly use 'Image PR.' In addition, our analyses on visitors' responses showed that visitors usually in response to participational and visual(ex. video, card news) typed contents. Based on its' results, this study provides practical suggestions for government's future SNS management strategies.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the effective internet marketing communication strategy as marketing tools by analyzing the web sites of young casual fashion brands. We've selected 19 young casual fashion brands in 3 department stores and made the classification standard - advertising, promotion, public relation(PR), customer management - and analysed the young casual fashion brands according to 4 classification standard on the web sites. As a result of study, it is found that 19 young casual brands' web sites put an emphasis on activity of customer management and promotion in general. However, they did not conduct the PR and advertising actively compared with other parts. Especially, the promotion strategy occupies more parts than any other parts through the variety of membership card's services. Also they are sending e-mails or providing 1:1(FAQ/Q&A) board to the members as a customer management to be able to help to communicate with customer through the web site.
