Music Pattern Analysis of K-POP (K-POP의 음악 패턴 분석)

  • K-POP is getting population at the all over the world. K-POP is based on the hook song that made using repetitive lyrics and melody. The characteristics of the music is a bit simple and cheerful rhythm and melody easy to sing along, interesting lyrics and great dance skills. K-POP is spreading to various countries via various social networking services such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter. K-POP dominated by the digital music market, showed a growing tendency to shorten the length of music, to create a music that can give a strong impression. And 60 second pre-listening function increased music used the chorus in the first part. But it was generated the result that made obscures the configuration of the music and the meaning of the lyrics. In this paper, we study the characteristics of K-POP music and will present three directions of the hook song music production. Finally, we compared to Kangnamstyle of Psy using the proposed three standards.

  • This purpose of this study is to research on the influence on the creation of young generation's street fashion of pop stars focused on pop music given the fact that fashion can be created by popular culture in this multi-media era. Also, this study is to provide useful data for the activation of the creation of young fashion culture and the fashion industry through pop stars' fashion. The pop stars' fashion that has affected young street fashion is as follows : Elvis Presley's rock'n'roll style, Beatles' mods style, Janis Joplin's hippy style, Sex Pistols's punk style, Madonna's boy-toy and corset style, Michael Jackson's androgynous style, Puff Daddy and L.L Cool J's hip-hop style, Bob Marley's reggae style, Spice Girls, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears's sexy style. The young street fashion culture of pop stars and its industrial meaning withdrawn from the above are as follows : Creation of a fashion icon, Creation of anti-fashion, Liberation of a sex role, Costume play culture, Activation of the young fashion industry through star marketing.

  • COVID-19 상황 속에서도 전 세계 Twitter K-POP 콘텐츠 관련 트윗 양은 78억 건 이상으로 매년 성장세를 보인다. Twitter 내 K-POP 팬들은 아티스트 관련 해시태그를 포함한 트윗을 작성하여 같은 팬덤끼리 실시간으로 정보를 전달하고 생산한다. 이러한 맛집 트윗들은 K-POP 팬들이 Twitter 내에서 신뢰도 있는 맛집 정보를 얻는 용도로 사용된다. 하지만 팬들이 정보를 얻기 위해서는 여러 맛집 해시태그로 검색하고 리트윗 수가 많은 트윗을 직접 찾아야 한다. 기존의 맛집 추천 시스템은 서비스 제공자 중심의 구조를 띤다. 서비스 제공자가 일방적으로 정보를 전달하거나, 사용자 리뷰 갱신 간격이 길다는 한계가 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 Twitter 내 K-POP 맛집 해시태그가 포함된 트윗을 Twitter API와 Tweepy를 사용하여 크롤링하였다. 수집한 데이터의 좋아요 수와 리트윗 수를 바탕으로 데이터 필터링을 진행하여 bot user와 광고 계정이 제외된 맛집 관련 트윗을 추출한다. 최종적으로는 추출한 트윗의 정보를 마커로 표시하여 웹 사이트를 제작하였다. K-POP 팬들은 맛집 해시태그를 검색하여 일일이 찾을 필요 없이 웹 사이트에 방문하여 맛집 위치를 확인할 수 있다. 웹 사이트 사용자의 위치가 지도상에 표시되어 가까운 맛집을 찾기도 편리하다. 본 논문에서는 맛집의 위치를 서대문구로 한정하여 진행했다.

Exploring Movement Culture's Perception Based on Semantic Network Analysis: Focusing on K-pop Dance and Taekwondo performance (의미연결망 분석을 적용한 Movement Culture의 인식 탐색: K-pop Dance와 태권도 공연을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the perception of K-pop dance and Taekwondo performances in Movement culture using semantic network analysis. The research subjects were selected from 105 students from K University in Daejeon. The method of selecting the research subject was a snowball sampling method among non-probability sampling methods, and a mobile Google questionnaire was used as the research tool. The results are as follows. First, it was found that the concepts of 'globalization', 'culture', and 'celebrity' in K-pop dance are the main cognitive concepts calculated more than 20 times. Second, as a result of analyzing the meaning network of K-pop dance recognition, it was found that the concepts of 'culture', 'popularity', and 'famous' are the main concepts of k-pop dance recognition. Third, the Taekwondo performance can be confirmed that the concepts of 'good', 'Korea', and 'temperance' are the main concepts calculated more than 20 times. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the meaning network of Taekwondo performance recognition, it was found that the concepts of 'movement', 'Korea', and 'good' are the main concepts of Taekwondo performance recognition.

  • 본 논문에서는 새롭게 떠오르고 있는 대중음악계의 K-Pop이라는 트렌드 속에서 전문대학이 이 특정한 분야의 학과 또는 전공을 개설하려고 하는 시도에 대한 제안적인 연구이다. 실용음악과와 방송연예과 등 기존의 유관 학과 및 전공과의 유사점과 차별성을 잘 활용하여 교과과정을 만든다면 K-Pop 전공이 대학에 개설되는 것이 불가능한 일은 아닐 것이다.

  • 본 연구에서는 생산현장에서 시시각각으로 발생하는 생산정보를 그 발생원 인 기계, 설비, 작업자, 워크 등에서 직접적으로 수집하고, 정보처리하여 실 시간으로 관리측에 제공할 수 있는 POP(Point of Production) 시스템 개발을 목표로 생산정보발생원과 인터페이스되어 실시간적인 정보수집, 처리를 지원 하는 POP 터미널의 기능을 설계하였다. 또한 통합생산시스템을 유연하게 최 적화 운영 할 수 있도록 계획사이드와의 정보통신 등을 제공하는 모듈화된 POP시스템 운영체계의 설계와 Firmware화를 실시하였다.

A Study on the Factors Influencing the Acceptance of K-pop Short-form Video Created by Chinese Influencers - Focusing on Chinese TikTok Users (중국 인플루언서들의 K-pop 짧은 동영상 수용에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 - 중국 '틱톡' 사용자를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed 284 K-pop song and dance cover short-form videos recreated by Chinese influencers uploaded on TikTok, to explore which reform factors of image similarity, language similarity, the extent of audience participation leading, the extent of lyrics or subtitles translated into Chinese, PPL disclosure, the length of video and the reputation of influencer affected Chinese TikTok audiences' reactions - number of "Likes," "Comments" and "Shares." The results showed that only the "reputation of influencer" was significantly affected the number of "Likes" which estimated as a relatively passive response, but the other factors affected the number of "Comments" and "Shares" significantly which estimated as more active responses. The more an influencer is perceived as not similar to the singer in terms of image the more comments were posted. And the videos expressed in Korean archived more comments and shares than those lyrics or subtitles translated into Chinese. This study is meaningful in that it confirmed the necessity of influencers in the globe diffusion of K-pop, by specifically analyzing the audience's reactions according to the characteristics of UCCs created by local influencers using short-form video platforms.

A Study on the Form of Modal Music used in K-Pop (K-Pop에서 사용된 선법음악 형태에 관한 연구)

  • According to a recent KOFICE survey, K-Pop's popularity factor is divided into visual and auditory elements, and the importance of hearing elements is found. Among the various types of singers, idol groups led K-Pop and Black Pink, which topped the list of favorite K-Pop singers in 2018, was selected as the study target. In addition, Twice's music, which is similar to Black Pink's period of activity, has been set as a comparative research scope. The common features in the music of the two groups are the chorus and rhythm structure implemented around melody and Harmony rhythm, and the frequency of use of Major and Minor is greatly different. Through this method and modal interchange, K-Pop from 2016 to 2018 is analyzed. Research shows that first, more than one mode is used as a main melody. When more than one mode is used, different lines in the same line will vary depending on the functional form of the song. Second, the rhythm of the melody expressed with vocals and instruments is repeated based on a two-bar pattern. Finally, when using less chord and slowly expressing the igneous rhythms, there is a way to omit or modify the third notes that determine chord characteristics. Through this study, we can see that the usage patterns of the mode and modal interchange are divided according to the major and minor.

A Study on Fashion illustration Based on Pop Art Technique (패션 일러스트레이션에서 보여지는 팝 아트적 표현 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Today, Fashion illustration has been diversified in its usage and respotlighted in the significance of its artistry by artists' interpretation and subjective perspectives. The purpose of this study is to find out theoretical reestablishment of this extended expression sphere and possible expression coverage of Fashion illustration. First, based on the Fashion illustration works revealing expressive features of Pop Art, this study reviews major considerations of Fashion illustration, i.e. assemblage, silk screen and new possible perspectives respectively. Therefore, based on the reviews, this study seeks to deduce pop art characteristics of expression technique found in Fashion illustration. Expression modes of Pop Art are represented broadly by assemblage, silk screen and new perspectives. Based on corresponding case analysis, this study could come to find out the following expressive features of pop art revealed in Fashion illustration: First, it is found that contemporary Fashion illustration pursues unbounded expressions and unprecedented styles owing to material variety. Second, it is found that contemporary Fashion illustration tries to adopt new and experimental techniques including computer program. Third, it is found that Fashion illustration characterized mainly by expressive features of Pop Art shows and pioneer a wide variety of application spheres including commercials(ads), newspaper or magazine illustration and cartoon ads simply beyond designer's creative drawing. Furthermore, it is expected that Pop Art's expressive features shown in Fashion illustration will evolve through a fusion with various experimental techniques, and keep having cultural and artistic influence in the future as well.

Study on the development of national symbolic patterns viewed from the standpoint of neo-pop art - Focusing on Mugunghwa, Taegeukgi, and the Great Seal - (네오 팝아트 방식을 적용한 국가상징 패턴 개발 - 무궁화, 태극기, 국새를 중심으로 -)

  • The emergence of pop art in the 1960s exerted a profound impact on integrating art into the real lives of the general public, which continues in the current area of culture of post-industrial society. Thus, this study aims to attempt the popularization and modernization of Korean images by applying the concept of pop art to the development of a national symbolic image. This study utilized Mugunghwa, Taegeukgi, and the Great Seal, which are national symbolic images that establish the identity of Korea through differentiation, universality, and visual formativeness. It then proceeded with the development of neo-pop art motives and patterns using national symbolic images from the standpoint of symbolism, mix-match, and repetitiveness from among the characteristics of neo-pop art. This study carried out pattern design by departmentalizing each characteristic according to the standpoint of neo-pop art through scribbles composed of the following: Signs, pictograms, and childlike characters; drawing simplification for symbolism; a mix of the East and the West; a mix of subfashion and subculture for mix-match; the repetition of lines, characters, and icons; and the exaggeration and grotesqueness of characters and icons for repetitiveness. This study is expected to serve as momentum for raising the cultural value of Korea and for the development of a pattern design capable of achieving worldwide competitiveness through the combination of the permanence and continuity of national symbols with the popular universality of pop art.
