The purpose of this study is to research the symbolistic values of western beards' style in the twentieth century. Namely, it is to consider the relationship between social-cultural factors and aesthetic meanings of western beards' style. The contents are, firstly, studying the conception and the types of beard. A beard is the hair that grows on a person's chin, cheeks, neck, and the area above the upper lip. At the World Beard & Moustache Championships, there are moustache category (natural, english, hungarian, dali, fu manchu, freestyle), beard category (natural, musketeer, goatee, sideburns, freestyle), and full beard category (natural, garibaldi, verdi, van dyck, freestyle), Secondly, this paper is continued by researching the history of beard from the ancient to the present day, and thirdly, analyzing political dictatorship, social resistance and expression of personality, religious dignity, related with the change of world situation, the formation of postmodern anti-culture and pop-culture, and the coexistence of traditional culture. There are long and bushy full beards in some religions like Hinduism, Judaism and Islam. The meanings of their beards are purity, life and holiness. The beards of some politicians symbolize dictatorship. Namely, the chaplin of Hitler, the moustache of Hussein and the musketeer of Castro express strong power and charisma. In 1950s'-70s' subcultures, Hipsters' goatee, Bikers' horseshoe, Beat generations' goatee and Hippies' natural represent the lack of adaptability and social resistance. Also, the celebrities and artists like Ronald Colman, Clark Gable, Don Johnson, George Clooney, and Salvador Dali express freedom, personality, and taste with beards. For that matter, the symbolistic values of beards' style in the twentieth century are the religious dignity, the political dictatorship, the social resistance and the expression of personality. Today the beards' style is one of fashion items as well as a symbol of masculinity, customs and classes.

Background: Authors modified the traditional continuous axillary brachial plexus block technique of Selander for purpose of increasing success rate and decreasing complications by use of commercial epidural anesthesia set. Method: Thirty-nine patients scheduled for upper extremity operations were injected with 40 ml of anesthetic solution by axillary perivascular technique, using 23~25G immobile needle at 2 cm from the pectoralis major. Tuohy needle was immediately introduced at 4 cm from the pectoralis major and pierced the expanded neurovascular sheath at an angle of 30 degree to the skin. The "pop" was well noted well. Needle was advanced 0.5 to 3.0 cm and epidural catheter introduced through the needle. After removal of needle, occlusive dressing was done. Tip of catheter and spread of solution were demonstrated by fluoroscopy with contrast dye after completion of procedure. Result: Catheter insertion was successful at first attempt for all case. Total length of insertion was from 6 to 13($10.0{\pm}1.7$) cm. Tip of catheter was placed in infraclavicular space(66.7%), about the humeral head(17.9%) and in upper arm in 3 cases as U-shape(7.9%). Catheters were maintained for $6.7{\pm}2.6$(3-12) days. There were no complications such as: perforation of major vessels, needle trauma to nerve, infection, bleeding or hematoma. Conclusion: This study demonstrated continuous axillary brachial plexus block with epidural anesthesia set is safe, easy and convenient modification of technique of Selander.

The purpose of this study was to compare shear bond strength and interfacial pattern of composite bond-ed to dentin using self-etching adhesive systems. Sixty extracted human molars with exposed occlusal dentin were divided into four groups and bonded with four adhesives and composites. Single Bond/Filtek Z 350(SB), Tyrian SPE-One-Step Plus/Aelitefil(TY), Prompt L-Pop/Filtek Z 250(LP), and One-Up Bond F/palfique Toughwell(OU). The results of this study were as follows; 1 Shear bond strength for OU was significantly lower than that of other groups(p＜0.05). No significant difference was founded among SB, TY, and LP. 2. Failure modes to dentin showed adhesive and mixed for SB TY and LP, but them for OU showed adhesive in all spceimens. 3. Dentin-resin interface showed close adaptation for SB, TY, and LP, but it showed gap for OU. 4. The hybrid layers for TY, LP OU were thinner than that of SB. Adhesive layers were observed between composite and hybrid layer, which were 5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thick for TY and 10 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thick for OU.

This study analyzes the conditions of merchandises from the popular domestic and foreign. In this study, 845 merchandises of 18 popular singers in Korea and 705 merchandises of 20 popular foreign singers are selected. The results of this study are as follows. First, the highest order of merchandise categories among Korean singers are stationeries and toys, followed by fashion accessories, clothes and interior decoration products. For the foreign singers, the highest order of merchandise categories are clothes, followed by fashion accessories, stationeries and toys, and interior decoration products. Second, the most common characteristics of graphic images on the merchandises from Korean singers are characters and expressions of person and body followed by logos, symbols, and gestures of body. Among the foreign singers, the most common characteristics of graphic images are logos, symbols, and gestures of body followed by logos, symbols. Third, by comparing the price ranges between the Korean and foreign merchandises, it is found that foreign singers' merchandises have a more diverse price range than local ones. The highest ordered price ranges among Korean singers are less than 10,000 won, followed by 10,000~20,000 won and 20,000~30,000 won. Among the foreign singers, the highest ordered price ranges are 20,000~30,000 won, followed by 20,000~30,000 won, and 30,000~40,000 won, and less than 10,000 won.

낙동강 하구호의 부영양화와 관련된 인의 순환과정을 구명하기 위해 낙동강 하구호에서 인의 침강과정에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. sediment trap에 포집된 침강성 물질의 침강 플럭스는 중층 및 저층에서 각각 $296g/m^2/d$, $955g/m^2/d$, 침강속도는 1.25m/hr, 3.31m/hr이었고, 인의 침강 플럭스는 중, 저층에서 각각 $0.64g/m^2/d$, $1.97g/m^2/d$, 침강속도는 0.85m/hr, 1.89m/hr이었다. 침강성 물질에 존재하는 POP의 총린에 대한 존재비율은 중층에서 $51.9\%$, 저층에서는 $48.3\%$로 나타났다. 이상의 결과에서 부영양화 모델을 낙동강 하구호에서 적용할 경우 기존의 인의 침강속도 가정치에 대한 보정이 반드시 행해져야 함을 알 수 있다.

낙동강 하구호의 수질관리 모델링을 위한 인자중의 하나를 구하기 위해 하구호내의 저층 적물로부터의 인의 용출특성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 저질에 존재하는 POP와 PIP의 총인에 대한 존재비율은 각각 $34.7\%,\;65.7\%$이었고, 대부분의 PIP 는 NAI-P($61.1\%$)와 Apatite-P($30.0\%$)의 형태로 존재하였다. 회분식 반응조를 이용하여 수온과 용존산소의 환경조건에 따라 산출한 인의 용출속도는, 높은 수온과 혐기적 조건에서는 $39.4mg/m^2/d$로 저질로부터 많은 양이 용출되며, 낮은 수온과 호기적 조건에서는 $-4.4mg/m^2/d$로 수층으로 부터 제거되는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과에서 낙동강 하구호내의 저질이 인의 내부부하원으로 작용할 가능성이 매우 크며 하구호의 인 농도 증가에 직접적인 영향을 끼치고 있음을 알 수 있다.

90년대 들어서면서 대중문화 수용자를 능동성과 비판성 그리고 창조성을 갖춘 집단으로 보려는 인식의 변화가 일어났다. 본 연구는 오래전부터 미국의 장르 문화를 중심으로 결성된 팬들의 자발적 행사인 컨벤션에 대한 이론적 논의를 다루고, 컨벤션에서 팬들과 작품 관계자들이 어떻게 소통하고 작품의 세계를 확장해 나가는지를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 구체적인 사례로 미국 드라마 <수퍼내추럴> 컨벤션을 분석한 결과, 드라마가 하나의 생명체처럼 지속적인 생명력을 유지할 수 있었던 이유는 팬과 배우들 간의 특별한 유대감과 공감, 그리고 상호작용에 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 문화사회학적 측면에서 하나의 작품은 생산자와 그것을 수용하는 사람의 자유로운 해석과 재창조를 통해 완결된다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to inquire into lounge wear and Jeff Koons and to design lounge wear in which the works, Balloon Dog(1994$\sim$2000) and Hanging Heart(1994$\sim$2006), of Jeff Koons was applied. The concept of design was appealed as sensuousness, activeness, and comfort. The target of design was teens and those in their 20s. Knit or woven fabric in 100% cotton/silk and cotton blended was selected. The design had fitted silhouette and the items were bras, panties, pajama pants, shorts, robes, slippers etc. Adobe Illustrator CS2 and Adobe Photoshop CS2 program were used for the design. In the lounge wear in which Balloon Dog applied, main color was red, blue, and green with pale tone and frills and pleats were selected for the details. Elastic blended fabric was used for the comfortable. Variety application of color and patterns were conducted for rhythmical visual. In the lounge wear design in which Hanging Heart applied, main color was also red, blue, and green with pale tone. Halter neck and robes were selected for the sexy looking. Cool and soft feelings were pursued through use of cotton and silk blended fabrics or stripes patterns. The result of this study may give valuable information to merchandisers and designers who develop lounge wear. It may also provide designers who use computer program such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop as design tools with useful examples.

이 연구의 목적은 수종 상아질 접착 시스템과 복합 레진 및 resin-modified glass ionomer를 상아질 표면에 접착하여 재료 및 상아질내 위치에 따른 미세전단결합강도를 측정, 비교하는 것이다. 상아질 접착 시스템으로는, 3-step인 Scotchbond Multi-Purpose Plus, 2-step인 Single Bond와 자가 부식형 시스템인 Clearfil SE Bond를, 1-step인 Prompt L-Pop을 사용하였다. 이와 함께 hybrid type의 복합 레진인 Clearfil AP-X와 2250을 사용하였으며 resin-modified glass ionomer로는 Fuji II LC를 사용하였다. 상악 소구치를 치아의 근원심 중앙부를 절단하여 상아질면을 노출시켰다. 5개 실험군으로 분류하고 상아질면을 위치에 따라 치관부의 occlusal $\frac{1}{3}$, middle $\frac{1}{3}$, cervical $\frac{1}{3}$과 치근부로 구분지어 시편을 부착하였다. 미세전단결합강도측정는 Universal testing machine(EZ-test; Shimadzu, Japan)에서 측정하였다. Occlusal 1/3부위에서는 SE가 가장 높은 값을, SM과 SB간에는 유의차가 없었으며, PL, GI순으로, Middle 1/3부위에서는 $SM{\;}{\geq}{\;}SE{\;}{\geq}{\;}SB{\;}{\geq}{\;}PL{\;}{\geq}{\;}GI$순으로, cervical 1/3부위에서는 SM, SE, SB간에 유의차가 없었다. Root dentin에서는 SM이 가장 높은 값을 보였으며 SE, PL, GI간에 유의차가 없었다. SE만이 치관부 상아질에 비해 치근부에서 유의할만한 결합강도의 감소를 나타냈다(p<0.05). GI는 치관부 상아질에서는 다른 군에 비해 유의성 있게 낮은 결합강도를 보였으나 치근부에서는 SE, PL과 유의차가 없었다.

본 연구는 한류 팬들의 유투브 참여의 의미와 특성 및 참여형태에 따른 한류 팬들 간의 관계형성을 알아보고, 한류 팬의 유투브 참여가 한류의 확산에 미칠 영향력을 고려할 것이다. 나아가 한류 팬의 유투브 참여를 통하여 한류 콘텐츠 다양화 방안을 모색할 것이다. 연구방법은 홍콩의 10-20대를 대상으로 집단토론 인터뷰 형식의 파일럿조사와 3차례 이메일 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 홍콩의 조사 참여자들은 유투브에서 한류 관련 동영상 검색을 비롯하여 댓글을 남기거나 자신의 스타를 촬영한 동영상을 제공하는 등 능동적으로 소비하였다. 또한 자기표현 및 한류를 매개로 타인과의 공감대를 형성하기 위하여 한류 관련 동영상을 유투브 외에 소셜 네트워크 서비스를 통해 공유하였다. 이와 같이 홍콩의 한류 팬들은 유투브를 매개로 한류를 그들의 일상 속 문화로 수용하며 한류 콘텐츠를 재생산 및 확산하여 한류가 세계적으로 양방향 소통이 되는데 일조하고 있다.
