AIDS환자 치료를 위한 NvBAT 치료기법: RTI에 대한 PI의 우수성 (NvBAT Treatment for AIDS Patients: The Superiority of PI Over RTI)

  • In this paper, we study the NvBAT treatment for AIDS patients that is combined with PI rather than RTI, while the Previous results have been focused on the NvBAT in conjuction with RTI. To this end, we obtain a bifurcation diagram which shows a change in the equilibrium points, and in their stability properties as the PI drug effect is varied. Based on the bifurcation diagram, we show that the NvBAT can be combined with drug PI for the treatment of AIDS patients. Various computer simulation results are included, which show the superiority of the NvBAT with PI over that with RTI. Accordition to simulation result, the NvBAT combined with PI is able to keep virus load level lower than that combined with RTI, which is crucial to avoid the emergence of drug-resistant mutants. Moreover, it is shown that, for some AIDS patients, NvBAT with RTI cannot make patients into long term non-progressor, while NvBAT with PI can.

PID Controller Tuning using Co-Efficient Diagram method for Indirect Vector Controlled Drive

  • Medium voltage control applications due to obtain better output voltage and reduced electro-magnetic interference multi level inverter is used. In closed loop control with inverter, the PI controller does not operate satisfactorily when the operating point changes. This paper presents the performance of Co-Efficient diagram PI controller based indirect vector controlled induction motor drive fed from three-level inverter under different operating conditions (dynamic and steady state). The proposed Co-Efficient diagram PI controller based three level inverter significantly reduces the torque ripple compared to that of conventional PI controller. The performance of the indirect vector controlled induction motor drive has been simulated at different operating conditions. For three-level inverter control, a simplified space vector modulation technique is implemented, which reduces the coordinate transformations complications in the algorithms. The performance parameters, torque ripple contents and THD of induction motor drive with three-level inverter is compared under different operating conditions using CDM-PI and conventional PI controllers.

  • We examine phase transition of the spin density wave and $\pi$ phase shifted superconductivity in the Fe pnictide superconductors. The phase diagram is described in the plane of the temperature T and the doping x with the combination of Ginzburg-Landau expansion of the free energy near the multi-critical temperature $T_c$ and the self-consistent numerical iterations of the gap equations. The phase separation or coexistence is determined by computing the 4-th order terms of the free energy which is confirmed by the numerical calculations. We can show the phase coexistence when the spin density wave is incommensurate. And the first order phase transition is observed near the boundary between commensurate and incommensurate spin density wave.

GA를 이용한 오일쿨러시스템의 최적 PI제어기 설계 (Optimum PI Controller Design for an Oil Cooler System Using GA)

  • This paper deals with optimum PI controller design using genetic algorithm to improve control performance and robustness for an oil cooler system. The optimum PI gain was found to minimize an object function, integrated absolute error, and to satisfy control design specifications such as overshoot and settling time based on practical transfer function of the oil cooler system. The control performance and robustness were investigated by comparing indicial responses and Bode diagram analysis with respect to three kinds of PI gains obtained from different gain decision manners. Moreover, the robustness against to input disturbances, sinusoidal wave form and abrupt single pulse, was evaluated. The computer simulation results showed that the suggested optimum gain can establish desirable control performance and strong robustness with easy design process.

A Systematic Engineering Approach to Design the Controller of the Advanced Power Reactor 1400 Feedwater Control System using a Genetic Algorithm

  • This paper represents a systematic approach aimed at improving the performance of the proportional integral (PI) controller for the Advanced Power Reactor (APR) 1400 Feedwater Control System (FWCS). When the performance of the PI controller offers superior control and enhanced robustness, the steam generator (SG) level is properly controlled. This leads to the safe operation and increased the availability of the nuclear power plant. In this paper, a systems engineering approach is used in order to design a novel PI controller for the FWCS. In the reverse engineering stage, the existing FWCS configuration, especially the characteristics of the feedwater controller as well as the feedwater flow path to each SG from the FWCS, were reviewed and analysed. The overall block diagram of the FWCS and the SG was also developed in the reverse engineering process. In the re-engineering stage, the actual design of the feedwater PI controller was carried out using a genetic algorithm (GA). Lastly, in the validation and verification phase, the existing PI controller and the PI controller designed using GA method were simulated in Simulink/Matlab. From the simulation results, the GA-PI controller was found to exhibit greater stability than the current controller of the FWCS.

이중 채널 CIS 인터페이스를 위한 수신기 설계 (A Receiver for Dual-Channel CIS Interfaces)

  • 본 논문에서는 이중 채널 CIS(CMOS Image Sensor) 인터페이스를 위한 수신기 설계에 대해서 기술한다. 두 채널은 각각 CTLE(Continuous-Time Linear Equalizer)를 포함하며 샘플러, 병렬 변환기 그리고 clocking 회로로 구성되어 있다. Clocking 회로는 PLL, PI, CDR을 포함한다. CDR은 PI 기반이며 OSPD(Over Sampling Phase Detector)와 FSM(Finite State Machine)을 추가하여 빠른 락 소요 시간과 지연 시간, 향상된 jitter tolerance를 갖도록 하였다. CTLE는 3 GHz에서 -6 dB 손실을 갖는 채널의 ISI(Inter Symbol Interference)를 제거하며 CDR은 8000 ppm 이하의 주파수 오프셋에 대해 1 baud period 이내의 빠른 락 소요 시간을 갖는다. 65 nm CMOS 공정을 이용하여 설계하였으며 eye diagram에서 최소 368 mV의 전압 마진과 0.93 UI의 시간 마진을 갖는다.

  • This paper provides sufficient conditions for the robustness of Affine linear TFM(Transfer Function Matrix) MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) uncertain systems based on Rosenbrock's DNA (Direct Nyquist Array). The parametric uncertainty is modeled through a Affine TFM MIMO description, and the unstructured uncertainty through a bounded perturbation of Affine polynomials. Gershgorin's theorem and concepts of diagonal dominance and GB(Gershgorin Bands) are extended to include model uncertainty. For this type of parametric robust performance we show robustness of the Affine TFM systems using Nyquist diagram and GB, DNA(Direct Nyquist Array). Multiloop PI/PB controllers can be tuned by using a modified version of the Ziegler-Nickels (ZN) relations. Simulation examples show the performance and efficiency of the proposed multiloop design method.

  • A design of PI controller to be used to control the first-order lag plus dead time process, such as a flow process, by the coefficient diagram method (CDM) is investigated. The factor of the dead time of process is first approximated to be the first-order by the Pade approximation. The response of the flow control system designed by CDM satisfy both transient and steady state specifications. However, the transient response generally still has long rise time.   • 본 논문에서는 ITU-R M.1842-1 표준 권고안 Annex1에 따르는 ${\pi}/4$-DQPSK 모뎀에 대해 분석하고 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 우선 VHF 대역의 해상 이동통신에 대한 표준 및 기술동향을 소개하였다. Annex1에 제시된 ${\pi}/4$-DQPSK 모뎀은 25KHz의 대역폭에서 28.8Kbps 비트전송률을 제공하도록 제시되어 있다. 송수신기에서 RRC필터를 채용하는 ${\pi}/4$-DQPSK 모뎀의 시뮬레이션 프로세스에 대해 설명하고, 다양한 시뮬레이션 결과(시간영영 신호파형, 성좌도, 롤오프 팩터에 따른 전력스펙트럼밀도, Eye 다이어그램)들과 모뎀의 BER 성능을 제시하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과로부터, RRC 필터의 롤오프 팩터에 의해서 SNR에 따른 BER 성능에 미치는 영향이 다름을 확인하였고, 설계한 시뮬레이션 모델이 ITU-R M.1842-1 권고안에 제시된 스펙트럼 마스크 요구사항을 만족함을 알 수 있었다.

HiPi 버스를 사용한 멀티프로세서 시스템에서 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜의 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Analysis of Cache Coherence Protocols in a Multiprocessor System Using HiPi Bus)

  • 본 논문에서는 pended 프로토콜을 가지는 HiPi버스와 다중 캐쉬 메모리를 사용하는 멀티프로세서 시스템을 기술하고, 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜에 따라 프로세서의 효율 측면에서 시스템의 성능을 평가하였다. HiPi 버스는 ETRI에서 개발된 행정전산망용 주전산기인 TICOMII의 공유 버스로 사용되기 위하여 개발되었다. HiPi버스는 고속의 데이타 전송 능력을 가지고 있으나, 캐쉬 간의 데이타 전송을 허용하지 못하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 캐쉬 간의 데이타 전송이 전체 시스템의 성능에 미치는 영향을 측정하고, HiPi버스에 적합한 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜을 선택하기 위하여 두가지 시뮬레이션을 실시하였다. 첫째, HiPi 버스를 사용하는 멀티프로세서 시스템에 다양한 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜을 적용하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 프로세서 효율에 따른 성능 분석을 실시하였다. 각각으니 프로토콜은 상태 천이도록 나타내었으며, Markov정적 상태도를 이용하여 각 상태의 확률 갑을 구하였다. 각 상태의 확률은 시뮬레이션에서 입력 값으로 사용되었고, 모델링과 시뮬레이션은 SLAMII심볼과 언어를 사용하였다. 둘째, 캐쉬 간의 데이타 전송을 갖는 HiPi버스를 제안하였고, 제안된 HiPi버스를 사용하는 멀티프로세서 시스템에 다양한 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜을 적용하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 프로세서 효율에 따른 성능 분석을 실시하였다. 고려된 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜은 Write-through, Write-once, Berkely, Synapse. Illinois, Firefly, Dragon이다.
