  • 본 논문은 PDA(개인용 휴대용 단말기)를 이용하여 원격제어하는 이동로봇 시스템을 구현하였다. 현재 급속도로 발전하는 인터넷 개발 기술 때문에 이를 기반으로 하는 많은 원격 제어 방법들이 제안되어 왔다. 주변환경을 인지 못하는 상황하에서 안내와 인터넷을 통한 이동 로봇 제어를 위하여 PDA를 활용한 제어를 제안한다 이에 제안하는 시스템은 사용자 인터페이스인 PDA와 이동로봇의 컨트롤러인 노트북과 통신을 한다. 이를 위해 TCP/IP 프로토콜을 이용한다. 회전각도 조절방향과 속도에 대한 정보가 PDA에서 이동로봇에 피드백 되며 퍼지 추론엔진으로부터 출력된 새로운 제어값을 PDA가 보내게 된다

  • This paper represents the mobile robot control system remote controlled by PDA(personal digital assistance). So far, owing to the development of internet technologies, lots of remote control methods through internet have been proposed. To control a mobile robot through internet and guide it under unknown environment, We propose a control method activated by PDA. In a proposed system, PDA acts as a user interface to communicate with notebook as a controller of the mobile robot system using TCP/IP protocol, and the notebook controls the mobile robot system. The information about the direction and velocity of the mobile robot feedbacks to the PDA and the PDA send new control method produced from the fuzzy inference engine.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존 홈오토메이션 시스템보다 효율적이고 능동적인 시스템 모델을 제안하며, 기존 시스템의 한계점을 해결하기 위해서 지능형 이동 로봇을 사용한다. 제안된 시스템은 집안에서 사용하기에 적합하도록 특화된 로봇을 사용하며, 이 로봇은 사람 대신 집안을 돌아다닌다. 이 시스템 모델을 HAuPIRS (Home Automation system using PDA based Intelligent Robot System) 라고 부르기로 한다. HAuPIRS제어 구조는 사용자 레벨, 인지 레벨, 실행 레벨의 세 파트로 구성된다. 이 시스템은 사용하기 쉽고, 기술의 발전에 따른 새로운 가전기기가 나오더라도 확장이 가능하다 HAuPIRS제어 구조의 성능을 검증하기 위해서 HAuPIRS 제어 구조를 기반으로 한 PBMoRo System (PDA Based Mobile Robot System) 을 만들어 실험하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose the intelligent robot control technique for mobile robot using personal digital assistants (PDA). With the proposed technique, the mobile rebot can trace human at regular intervals by the remote control method with PDA. The mobile robot can recognize the distances between it and human whom the robot must follow with both multi-ultrasonic sensors and PC-camera and then, can inference the direction and velocity of itself to keep the given regular distances. In the first place, the mobile robot acquires the information about circumstances using ultrasonic sensor and PC-camera then secondly, transmits the data to PDA using wireless LAN communication. Finally, PDA recognizes the status of circumstances using the fuzzy logic and neural network and gives the command to mobile robot again.

  • A new method to control a remote robot with PDA and wireless network is presented. The needs of remote control systems using a home network environments are increased in these days. To solve the shortage of IP address in network, authorized TCP/IP and unauthorized TCP/IP address are used. The unauthorized TCP/IP is obtained by using MAC Address in the system and Network Layer. The model in the system is similar to Sever&Client in structure. Using this system, it is very easy to combine one network device with other network system. A robot system and PDA are used to show the effectiveness of the control system in home network environments.

  • In this paper, we propose the self-autonomous algorithm for mobile robot system. The proposed mobile robot system controlled by Personal Digital Assistant(PDA) can follow the target at regular intervals. The mobile robot can evaluate the distance between robot and target with ultrasonic sensors, transmits the distance to the PDA. The velocity and direction decided in PDA are transmitted to the mobile robot with wireless LAN communication. Considering the state, velocity-changing and distance-maintenance, of the mobile robot, driving velocity and direction are applied. For safety, the velocity of the mobile robot is changed step by step. As a result, we confirm the ability of following the target with proposed mobile robot.

  • This paper proposes the system model that is more efficient and active than formal home automation system and it can conquer the limits of formal one using intelligent mobile robot. This system uses specialized intelligent mobile robot for home environment and the robot moves around home instead of human. We call the system model to HAuPIRS (Home Automation system using PDA based Intelligent Robot System). HAuPIRS control architecture is composed three parts and each part is User Level, Cognitive Level, Executive Level. It is easy to use system and possible to extend the home apparatusfrom new technology. We made the PBMoRo System (PDA Based Mobile Robot System) based on HAuPIRS architecture and verified the efficiency of the system model.

  • Intelligent Wearable Module is intelligent system that arises when a human is part of the feedback loop of a computational process like a certain control system. Applied system is mobile robot. This paper represents the mobile robot control system remote controlled by Intelligent Wearable Module. 실내 환경에서의 경비로봇용 주행시스템 (A Navigation System for a Patrol Robot in Indoor Environments)

  • In this paper, we develope the navigation system for patrol robots in indoor environment. The proposed system consists of PDA map modelling, a localization algorithm based on a global position sensor and an automatic charging station. For the practical use in security system, the PDA is used to build object map on the given indoor map. And the builded map is downloaded to the mobile robot and used in path planning. The global path planning is performed with a localization sensor and the downloaded map. As a main controller, we use PXA270 based hardware platform in which embedded linux 2.6 is developed. Data handling for various sensors and the localization algorithm are performed in the linux platform. Also, we implemented a local path planning algorithm for object avoidance with ultra sonar sensors. Finally, for the automatic charging, we use an infrared ray system and develop a docking algorithm. The navigation system is experimented with the two-wheeled mobile robot using North-Star localization system.
