  • As the research activities related to 'Ubiquitous Computing' whose concept was introduced by Mark Weiser are growing, RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) technology has recently gained attention as a technology to advance the ubiquitous computing and a lot of related researches are also in progress. Research works done so far are mainly linked to the situation that the research outputs apply to meet the requirements for asset tracking and data sharing with partners over supply chain by using fixed RFID readers. However, it is essential that users have access to real-time information about the tagged objects and services whenever and wherever they want in the era of ubiquitous computing, so mobile devices-including PDA, smart phone, cellular phone, etc - which are equipped with an RFID reader can be regarded as an essential terminal for users living in ubiquitous computing environment. As far as the application with mobile devices are concerned, there are many considerations due to their limited capabilities of data processing, battery consumption and so on. In this paper, we review the generic RFID network model and introduce the revised RFID network model in consideration of incorporation with mobile devices equipped with an RFID reader. Also, we derive the requirements for software embedded within an RFID- enabled mobile terminal and then discuss essential components for implementation. Moreover, we develop the applications for asset management at museum by using mobile RFID network model.

  • Recently most of the study about home-networking middleware take the way of web-control through the internet. Although the way of control using wire and PDA also be taken, but does not use standard techniques like UPnP and is limited in the technique controlling simple device. This paper is about the development of a Voice Gateway controlling many kinds of UPnP controlling devices connected to network. voice gateway is consisted of MPC850 module and phone interface and the set-top box, a part of computer in voice gateway is consisted of PSTN interface, information controlling process and the process of UPnP protocol. And I tried to implement this through entire system board.

  • In these days, the use of context in application running on mobile devices such as PDAs and smart Phone has become a crucial requirement for several research areas, including ubiquitous computing. mobile computing. Previous middlewares which support context provisioning uses single strategy. But, this paper proposed middleware integrated multiple strategies for context provisioning, namely internal sensors-based, external infrastructure-based, and distributed provisioning in ad hoc networks. Applications can query needed context items using SQL like context query language and require context information to use different provisioning mechanisms depending on resource availability and presence of external infrastructures.

  • Since wireless communication cost is relatively expensive, the mobile games using cellular phones or PDAs are mostly played after being downloaded unlike more updated types of phone-to-phone or online games. In particular, the upbringing games, in which garners foster virtual companion animals or vegetables as their avata, have been spotlighted. It is essential to supply variety of items for upbringing avatas. However, due to diverse tastes for avatas and limited storage of mobile terminals, game manias must download their desired items from homepages. In addition, game developers must inform users through SMS messages whenever a new item is created. To do so, they must link WEB server and WAP server to Call Back URL or ARS. This paper proposed a linkage method suitable for JAVA-based mobile phone operating system. The proposed method will consequently increase life cycle of a game and reinforce profitability.

  • In this paper, we propose a motion picture processor for CSTN LCD. In order to eliminate flicker phenomenon, the proposed processor suggests a new driving scheme, SFP(Subgroup Frame Pattern). We use an input image compression methode from RGB(:8:8;8) to RGB(5:6:5) to improve quality of the image and apply the image to CSTN Module. The proposed hardware architecture has been implemented and verified using a FPGA on prototype board. The proposed Algorithm provide a lower computational complexity. Therefore the processor can be used in the display devices such as PDA, mobile phone and PMP(Portable Multimedia Player).

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자가 언제 어디서든지 컨텐츠에 접근하고 소비 할 수 있는 포괄적인 솔루션을 갖는 시각 미디어의 능동적인 적응 변환 시스템 구현 방안에 대해서 제안한다. 능동적 미디어는 PDA, PC, Mobile phone, HDTV둥과 같은 다양한 기기들과 사용자 특성을 포함하는 다양한 환경에 따라 미디어가 능동적으로 적응변환 할 수 있는 것을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 능동적 미디어 적응변환 시스템을 평가하기 위해 미디어 양식 변환(Modality Conversion), 시각 정보 적응변환, 그리고 세션정보를 이용한 적응변환과 같은 주요한 특징을 갖는 실험을 수행했다. 실험결과를 통해 이러한 주요한 특징들이 제안된 적응변환 시스템 프레임워크 내에서 잘 수행되는 것을 볼 수 있다. 또한 제안된 시스템은 다른 여러 적응변환 서비스를 위해서도 활용될 수 있다.

  • The computer system is gradually complicated because of explosive growth of computer system and IT technology. For efficient management of complicated system, system load monitoring technology is essential. In this paper, we is implemented the real-time load monitoring system based mobile than the traditional methods that are used load-related commands in system manager or specific load application programs based connected wire. Advantage of implemented load monitoring system in this paper is freely saw load information in time and space though mobile method like as PDA, cellular phone, more than traditional methods intime and space.

  • This paper deals with the algorithm development that inspects defects such as Lens Focus, Black Defect, Dim Defect, Color Defect, White Balance, and Line Defect caused by the process of Compact Camera Module (CCM). These days the demand of CCM goes on increasing in various types like PDA, a cellular phone and PC camera every year. However, owing to the defect inspection of CCM by the semiskilled work the average inspection time of CCM takes about 40 to 50 seconds. As time goes by the efficiency takes a sudden turn for the worse because workers must inspect with seeing a monitor directly. In this paper, to solve these problems, we developed the imaging processing algorithm to inspect the defects in captured image of assembled CCM. The performances of the developed inspection system and its algorithm are tested on many samples. Experimental results reveal that the proposed system can focus the lens of CCM within 5s and we can recognize various types of defect of CCM modules with good accuracy and high speed.

  • PC, Notebook, PDA, Cellular telephone, Smart phone 등 많은 형식의 인터넷 단말기가 사용되고 있지만, 인터넷 상에 존재하는 많은 그래픽 요소들은 이러한 단말기의 형식에 많은 제약을 받고 있다. 또한 사용자가 원하는 형태로 직접 변형하는 것이 어렵고, 그래픽 부분 요소의 재사용이 불가능하다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 마크업 언어로 각광받고 있는 XML(Extensible Markup Language)의 그래픽 표준인 SVG(Scalable Vector Graphic)를 이용하여 어떤 단말기에서도 같은 형식으로 디스플레이 되고 사용자가 원하는 형태로 이미지의 수정 및 부분 요소의 재사용성을 놀인 웹 캐릭터 빌더(Builder)를 설계 및 구현하였다. 연구 결과를 이용하면 에이전트 상의 웹 캐릭터 혹은 웹 상에서 일어날 수 있는 어떠한 컨텐츠에도 사용할 수 있는 기술을 구현한 수 있을 것이다.

There are some company to service high quality network game for gathering members. Those company make success for getting fee from their member. Global on-line game market is small but stability growing. Thus Microsoft invest on line game. On this paper, one of a java network turn game system called by "Hoola" is designed and implemented. This Application consist of Client/Server and Database module and multi-tier Architecture, because of easily translation to PDA or mobile phone.
