These days, the environment of IT development goes through converging with various industries and technologies. Also, it accelerates to pioneer new markets and develop new technologies. This trend becomes one of the most important factors to explore new national growth engines in Korea. Thus, this research examines current trends of IT convergence in Korea. The strategic characteristics of IT convergence in overseas are briefly explained for comparing purpose. The governmental strategies or efforts regarding the IT convergence have been surveyed. Some example convergences of LG, Samsung, and POSCO as major IT industries in Korea have been introduced. It also identifies several buzz concepts in this field. The study aims to provide an insight about the activities that are happening in the field of IT convergence in Korea. Finally, the findings through the research have been summarized.

Along the advancement of mobile networks, fixed telephone networks are gradually advancing from legacy networks based on copper and circuit-switches to optical cables and packet-switched IP networks. Incumbent fixed-line telephone operators are facilitating the introduction of IP networks and are gradually converting to IP-based facilities according to the investment plans for each operator. As the PSTN's IP conversion exceeds a certain level and VoIP; (an alternative service); is activated, some countries; such as Europe; are considering terminating the PSTN service, centering on operators. In this paper, trends in the procedure, timing, and major issues related to the termination of an overseas PSTN are examined. The domestic status is also examined.

We provide trends on postal vehicles owned and operated by 10 overseas postal agencies, USPS, Postes Canada, Royal Mail, La Poste, Deutsche Post DHL, PostNL, Australia Post, China Post, Japan Post, and Thailand Post. This will be a useful asset to look into how the posts worldwide operate and manages their postal vehicles and service strategies. In this study, we provide the simple specifications of vehicles operated by each post, how to replace vehicles, how to service maintenance and repair, and modes of pick-up & delivery to be introduced soon. We expect this study to present appropriate policy implications for both postal agencies and logistics companies that are facing a major turning point in logistics to operate and evolve the delivery vehicles.

The air traffic industry, one of Korea's major industries, has recently experienced increased demand from overseas air passengers, launched a low-cost airline, and increased special freight transportation capacity. These initiatives have had a positive impact on air traffic (for example, profitability); however, air traffic management has become more complex, which has increased the incidence of aviation accidents and created safety hazards. There is an increasing need to collect and analyze aviation data that can proactively respond to aviation accidents. Concatenation of collected aviation data as big data and the development of artificial intelligence technology are gradually expanding aviation safety event analysis from conventional statistical analysis to machine learning-based analysis. This paper surveys the trends of flight safety event analysis to derive aviation safety risk factors by looking at the types and characteristics of aviation data that can be used to predict accidents related to safety in aviation operations.

This paper presents concepts, policies, industry trends, and related issues in urban air mobility (UAM). UAM will contribute to transportation by mitigating traffic congestion and environmental problems in the future. Accordingly, governments of major countries are promoting UAM policies and demonstration projects as well as preparing laws and certification standards. In UAM, overseas startups lead airframe developments, and major companies from the aircraft, automotive, and information technology industries are also participating. In addition, startups and major companies are building the corresponding infrastructure. For the development of UAM, issues related to technology, regulation systems, and infrastructure still need to be resolved.

국제적인 철도 사업은 개도국의 재정 부족 등 다양한 대외적 환경변화로 인해 재정사업에서 민간 투자사업(PPP)으로의 변경이 보편화되고 있다. 하지만, 철도 시설물은 도로 등 다른 인프라 시설물 보다는 철도 생애주기 특성상 사업개발, 건설 및 운영단계까지 막대한 건설자금 및 O&M 비용이 소요된다. 따라서 투자 대비 일정 수준의 수익률이 보장되지 않는다면 해외 특히 예측불허한 상황들이 발생하는 개발도상국에서의 해외철도 민간투자사업의 수행은 매우 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 글로벌 철도시장 동향 정보 및 기존 문헌 고찰을 통해 국내기업의 해외철도 민간투자사업 진출시 취약점 및 위험요인들을 살펴보고 그 의미와 대응 방안들에 대한 논의를 통하여 해외철도사업 진출시 국내기업의 경쟁력을 강화하는 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

최근 4차 산업혁명으로 빅데이터의 성장과 가치는 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 정부에서도 공공데이터 개방과 활용에 적극적으로 노력하고 있다. 하지만 여전히 시민들의 공공데이터 활용 요구수준에는 미치지 못하는 상황이며, 현 시점에서 공공데이터 분야의 연구동향 파악과 발전 방향을 모색할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공공데이터와 관련된 연구 동향을 파악하기 위해서 텍스트 마이닝 기법에서 주로 활용되는 토픽 모델링을 활용하여 분석하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 학술논문 중 '공공데이터', 'Public Data'의 키워드가 포함된 논문(국내 1,437건, 국외 9,607건)을 수집하여 LDA 알고리즘 기반의 토픽 모델링을 수행하였으며, 국내외 공공데이터 연구 동향을 비교 분석하여 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다. 분석 결과 국내의 경우 공공분야 정책 연구가 주를 이루고 있으며, 국외는 의료, 건강 관련 연구가 높게 나타났다. 토픽별 시계열로 살펴보면 국내는 '개인정보보호', '공공데이터 관리', '도시 환경' 분야의 연구가 증가하였으며, 국외는 '도시정책', '세포 생물학', '딥러닝', '클라우드·보안' 분야 연구가 활성화되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

주가 예측은 경제, 통계, 컴퓨터 공학 등 여러 분야에서 연구되는 주제이며, 특히 최근에는 기본적 지표나 기술적 지표 등 다양한 지표로부터 인공지능 모델을 학습하여 주가의 변동을 예측하는 연구들이 활발해 지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 S&P500 등의 해외지수, 과거 KOSPI 지수, 그리고 KOSPI 투자자별 매매 동향으로부터 KOSPI의 등락을 예측하는 딥러닝 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델은 주가 등락 예측을 위하여 비지도 학습 방법인 적층 오토인코더를 이용하여 잠재변수를 추출하고, 추출된 잠재변수로부터 시계열 데이터 학습에 적합한 LSTM 모델로 학습하여 당일 시가 대비 종가의 등락을 예측하며, 예측된 값을 기반으로 매수 또는 매도를 결정한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 모델과 비교 모델들의 수익률 및 예측 정확도를 비교한 결과 제안 모델이 비교 모델들 보다 우수한 성능을 보였다.

CM services have continued to grow since the establishment of CM policies in 1997. Recently, strategies for overseas CM services have widely been discussed, because the CM services have expected synergy with planning, engineering, procurement and construction. However, there has been lack of quantitative and comprehensive research to investigate CM trends and prospects. In this sense, the purpose of this research is to statistically analyze total of 2,983 CM service contracts over the past 16 years (between 1997 and 2013) published in KISCON (Knowledge Information System of Construction Industry) in order to examine current status and future direction of CM industry.

In order to minimize casualties in case of a fire in a building, it is necessary to anticipate the time required for evacuation of occupants and the delay in evacuation in advance, and prepare countermeasures for possible occurrences. In fact, various factors that cannot be predicted exist and cannot be considered by excluding them, so the risk is predicted and evaluated through quantitative evacuation modeling. In order to understand this, we analyzed domestic and international evacuation modeling research trends. For about 40 years, starting with the characteristics of human movement, an evacuation modeling technique based on scientific methods has been developed through actual fire accident cases and various real-world experiments with humans. Then, in order to analyze the natural reaction of humans, which has a decisive influence in the recognition and decision-making phase, evacuation modelling studies have been conducted in depth using psychological and physical experimental methods.
