오버랩 기반 CSS 시스템 설계를 위한 닫힌꼴 비트 오류율 표현 (A Closed-Form BER Expression for Overlap-Based CSS System Design)

  • Chirp 확산 대역에서 (chirp spread spectrum: CSS) 데이터 전송량을 증가시키기 위해 사용되는 오버랩 기법은 인접 심벌 간 간섭을 (intersymbol interference: ISI) 유발하여 심각한 비트 오류율 (bit error rate: BER) 성능 저하를 초래한다. 따라서 효과적으로 오버랩 기법을 사용하기 위해서는 요구되는 BER 성능 기준에 따라 적절한 횟수로 오버랩을 실시하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 근사화 된 가우시안 Q 함수를 바탕으로 오버랩 횟수를 매개변수로 가지는 오버랩 기법이 적용된 CSS 시스템의 닫힌꼴 BER 성능 수식을 유도한다. 유도한 닫힌꼴 BER 성능 수식의 정확성은 모의실험 결과와의 비교를 통하여 검증한다.

Featured-Based Registration of Terrestrial Laser Scans with Minimum Overlap Using Photogrammetric Data

  • Currently, there is a considerable interest in 3D object reconstruction using terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) systems due to their ability to automatically generate a considerable amount of points in a very short time. To fully map an object, multiple scans are captured. The different scans need to be registered with the help of the point cloud in the overlap regions. To guarantee reliable registration, the scans should have large overlap ratio with good geometry for the estimation of the transformation parameters among these scans. The objective of this paper is to propose a registration method that relaxes/eliminates the overlap requirement through the utilization of photogrammetrically reconstructed features. More specifically, a point-based procedure, which utilizes non-conjugate points along corresponding linear features from photogrammetric and TLS data, will be used for the registration. The non-correspondence of the selected points along the linear features is compensated for by artificially modifying their weight matrices. The paper presents experimental results from simulated and real datasets to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed procedure.

  • Overlap errors and side-lobes can be simultaneously solved by the rule-based correction using scattering bars with the rules extracted from test patterns. Process parameters affecting the attPSM lithography simulation have been determined by the fitting method to the process data. Overlap errors have been solved applying the correction rules to the metal patterns overlapped with contact/via. Moreover, the optimal insertion rule of the scattering bars has made it possible to suppress the side-lobes and to get additional pattern fidelity at the same time.

A three-dimensional finite element analysis of two/multiple shots impacting on a metallic component

  • This paper describes a three-dimensional dynamic finite element analysis of two/multiple shots impacting on a metallic component. The model is validated against a published numerical study. An extensive parametric study is conducted to investigate the effect of shot impacting with overlap on the resulting residual stress profile within the component, including time interval between shot impacts, separation distance between the impacting points, and impacting velocity of successive shots. Several meaningful conclusions can be drawn regarding the effect of shot impacting with overlap.

  • Problems of overlap errors and sidelobe printing by the design rule reduction in the lithography process using attenuated phase-shifting masks(attPSM) have been serious. Overlap errors and sidelobes can be simultaneously solved by the rule-based correction using scattering bars with the rules extracted from test patterns.   • This paper deals with the automation techniques of ship assembly drawing generation, which help the designer to reduce the man-hour for completing the drawings, and improve the quality of the drawing for the given time. The automation techniques are necessary for the reasons of economical efficiency and improve communication between the designers and shop-makers. The overlap-avoidance algorithm of this paper maximizes the readability of the drawings using the optimization techniques and the heuristic rules, especially for the ship assembly field.

  • 음성속도변환(TSM : Time Scaling Modification) 알고리즘은 시간축에서 음성 신호의 속도를 변환할 수 있는 방식이다. 이러한, 방법으로는 OLA(Overlap Add), SOLA (Synchronized Overlap Add) 알고리즘 등이 연구 되어 왔다. 2 가지 방식 중에도 동기화를 시켜 overlap 을 시키는 SOLA 알고리즘이 OLA 방법에 비해 음질이 우수하다. 본 논문에서는 TMS320C5416 DSP 에 계산량이 감소된 SOLA 알고리즘을 실시간 구현하였다. 기존의 SOLA 알고리즘에서 동기화를 위해 사용하고 있는 cross-correlation 함수는 곱셈연산에서 발생하는 bit 의 dynamic range 가 커서 나눗셈 연산에서도 과도한 연산량을 필요로 한다. 따라서 이러한 계산량의 감소를 위해 기존의 cross-correlation 함수가 대신 더하기와 빼기의 연산으로 수행되는 NAMDF 함수를 사용하여 계산량을 줄였다. 제안한 방법을 SOLA 알고리즘에 적용하여 성능 평가를 실시하였다. TMS320C5416 DSP 에 실시간으로 실험한 결과 NAMDF 함수를 사용하였을 경우 음질의 저하가 거의 없었으며, 계산량을 기존의 cross-correlation 방식에 비해 6.22MIPS 가까이 감소시킬 수 있었다.

Numerical simulation of propeller exciting force induced by milling-shape ice

  • On the basis of the Computational Fluid Dynamics technique (CFD) combined with the overlap grid method, this paper establishes a numerical simulation method to study the problem of ice-propeller interaction in viscous flow and carries out a simulation forecast of the hydrodynamic performance of an ice-class propeller and flow characteristics when in the proximity of milling-shape ice (i.e., an ice block with a groove cut by a high-speed revolving propeller). We use a trimmed mesh in the entire calculation domain and use the overlap grid method to transfer information between the domains of propeller rotation calculation and ice-surface computing. The grid is refined in the narrow gap between the ice and propeller to ensure the accuracy of the flow field. Comparison with the results of the experiment reveals that the error of the hydrodynamic performance is within 5%. This confirms the feasibility of the calculation method. In this paper, we calculate the exciting force of the propeller, analyze the time domain of the exciting force, and obtain the curve of the frequency domain using a Fourier transform of the time-domain curve of the exciting force. The existence of milling-shape ice before the propeller can greatly disturb the wake flow field. Unlike in open water, the propeller bearing capacity shows a downward trend in three stages, and fluctuating pressure is more disordered near the ice.

  • 서울시를 포함한 수도권 각 도시는 중앙버스전용차로의 적극적인 도입으로 버스속도 및 정시성 향상을 통해 대중교통우선 처리 전략을 적극 추진 중에 있다. 그러나 이로 인해 중앙부 $1{\sim}2$개 차로를 버스전용차로가 차지함으로써 기존 신호운영체계에 큰 변화를 가져오게 되었다 좌회전 차량과 중앙버스전용차로를 이용해 직진하는 버스간에 새로운 상충이 발생하게 되어 동시신호 기법 등 교차로 신호운영대안이 줄어들게 된 것이다 이 해결방안으로서 버스전용신호를 도입하여 중첩현시 및 동시신호 등 Dual-Ring방식의 다양한 신호 운영을 가능케 하는 방안이 모색되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 버스전용신호 도입 시 교차로 정체를 최소화할 수 있는 신호설계방법을 제시하였고, 중앙버스전용차로가 운영 중인 양재역사거리에 동 기법을 이용한 최적신호 설계를 적용, 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 효과를 검증하였다.

중복배제의 관점에서 본 우리나라 항만관리에 관한 연구 - 항만 관련법률을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Korean Port Management in a viewpoint of Overlap Elimination - Focused on the Related Port Law -)

  • An understanding of importance of port has increased according to the in and out environment changes surrounding port. And the jurisdiction of physical distribution including port logistics integrated to Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. It is a good time for review the related port law once more. Present related port law has no problems itself. But because there are many laws about port, so overlap is shown in many aspects. According to this viewpoint, this study has focused to reduce the overlap in the contents of the laws and propose the improvement methods. So as to achieve this goal, I divided study fields into three aspects. The first is the subject of port management and second is the object of port management, the third is contents of port management. And also improvement plan provided in three aspects. Improvement plan is as follows. Firstly, the diversity of management subject is reduced considerably due to the integration of government organization but the problem which what laws among the various laws would adopt to same object is still remained. So it is necessary to make into one or two laws. Secondly, in the case of object of port management, it is essential to cover the port, port facilities and port hinterland with one comprehensive law. Therefore it is important to adjust the related clauses in various laws. Thirdly, in connection with the contents of port management, port development plan or other related port business and etc. described in various laws have to cordinated. At the same time, it is desirable that the similar terminology used in various laws would be unified.
