Hydro-hypsographic 분석을 이용한 근소만 해수 교환 특성 연구 (A study on the flushing characteristics in Geunso bay using hydro-hypsographic analysis)

  • 만과 외해와의 해수유통은 저서환경에 영양염과 산소 공급, 오염물질 정화 등 생태계를 건강하게 만드는 중요한 요인이며, 만 내 저서환경의 건강성은 해수 교환 특성과 밀접한 관련을 갖는다. 이 연구에서는 서해안 근소만 저서환경의 해수 분포 및 유동 특성을 파악하기 위한 hydro-hypsographic 분석을 통해 수리적 교환시간을 계산함으로써 근소만의 해수유통 특성을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 위성영상 자료를 이용한 수륙경계선 추출방법과 음향측심기에 의해 획득한 조하대 수심자료를 이용하여, 연구지역의 지형고도모델을 작성하였으며, 지리정보시스템의 공간분석 기능을 이용하여 hydro-hypsographic 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 근소만 전체 면적의 95%가 갯벌인 것으로 나타났으며, 수리적 교환시간은 1.03 tidal cycle로서 만의 해수 유통 특성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 국내외 타 지역과 비교하였을 때도, 근소만이 상대적으로 저서환경이 차지하는 면적이 넓고 조차도 국외 지역에 비해 커서 해수의 교환이 상대적으로 잘 이루어지고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 국내 만들의 해수유통 특성 분석에 의해 각 만들의 건강성을 정량화 할 수 있는 체계 마련 및 만의 저서환경, 생태 등 관리를 위한 기초자료로 활용 가능할 것이다.

The Role of a Wiring Model in Switching Cell Transients: the PiN Diode Turn-off Case

  • Power converter design requires simulation accuracy. In addition to the requirement of accurate models of power semiconductor devices, this paper highlights the role of considering a very good description of the converter circuit layout for an accurate simulation of its electrical behavior. This paper considers a simple experimental circuit including one switching cell where a MOSFET transistor controls the diode under test. The turn-off transients of the diode are captured, over which the circuit wiring has a major influence. This paper investigates the necessity for accurate modeling of the experimental test circuit wiring and the MOSFET transistor. It shows that a simple wiring inductance as the circuit wiring representation is insufficient. An adequate model and identification of the model parameters are then discussed. Results are validated through experimental and simulation results.

Building capacity for ecological assessment using diatoms in UK rivers

  • Diatoms have become an integral part of the UK's freshwater monitoring strategy over the past two decades, mostly in response to increasingly stringent European Union (EU) legislation. The use of diatoms is based on strong correlations between diatom assemblages and environmental variables, and from knowledge of the "expected" (= "reference") state of each river. The nationwide overview of the ecological health of rivers this gives allows those stretches of rivers which fail to meet EU criteria to be identified. This, in turn, allows appropriate remediation measures to be planned. Because diatom assemblages vary in space and time, even within a single water body, effective use of diatoms requires a consistent approach in order to minimise uncertainty. This includes the use of methods which comply with European Standards, a training and accreditation scheme for analysts, and a suite of quality assurance methods. Those aspects of uncertainty that cannot be readily controlled have been quantified and all estimates of ecological status are accompanied by the appropriate "confidence of class" and "risk of misclassification". This, in turn, helps planners prioritise those locations which are most likely to benefit from remediation.

  • Carbon-nitrogen (CN) nanofibers have been produced using a water cooled hot isostatic pressure (HIP) apparatus. The CN nanofibers were grown in random with the diameter of about 100-150nm and length over $10{\mu}m$. Emission properties of CN nanofibers were investigated for spacing, between anode and cathode, variation. Then turn-on fields about $1.4V/{\mu}m$. The time reliability and light emission test were carried out for above 100 hours. We suggest that CN nanofibers can be possibly applied to high brightness flat lamp because of low turn-on field and time reliability.

VIMAP: AN INTERACTIVE PROGRAM PROVIDING RADIO SPECTRAL INDEX MAPS OF ACTIVE GALACTIC NUCLEI

  • We present a GUI-based interactive Python program, VIMAP, which generates radio spectral index maps of active galactic nuclei (AGN) from Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) maps obtained at different frequencies. VIMAP is a handy tool for the spectral analysis of synchrotron emission from AGN jets, specifically of spectral index distributions, turn-over frequencies, and core-shifts. In general, the required accurate image alignment is difficult to achieve because of a loss of absolute spatial coordinate information during VLBI data reduction (self-calibration) and/or intrinsic variations of source structure as function of frequency. These issues are overcome by VIMAP which in turn is based on the two-dimensional cross-correlation algorithm of Croke & Gabuzda (2008). In this paper, we briefly review the problem of aligning VLBI AGN maps, describe the workflow of VIMAP, and present an analysis of archival VLBI maps of the active nucleus 3C 120.

타이밍 부정합 감소를 위해 정합된 지연경로를 갖는 전하 펌프 (A Charge Pump with Matched Delay Paths for Reduced Timing Mismatch)

  • 기존의 전류 스티어링 전하 펌프의 타이밍 부정합 감소를 위한 새로운 전하 펌프를 제안한다. 기존의 전류 스티어링 전하 펌프는 UP, DOWN 신호의 입력단에 NMOS를 사용하여 서로 다른 지연단 수를 갖게 된다. 제안한 전하 펌프에서는 DOWN 신호의 입력단에 PMOS를 사용함으로써 UP, DOWN 신호의 지연단 수를 동등하게 한다. 기존의 전류 스티어링 전하 펌프를 최적화하여 시뮬레이션한 결과 턴온과 턴오프에 대하여 지연시간의 차이는 각각 14ns, 6ns 이다. 반면에 제안한 전하 펌프는 타이밍 부정합이 향상되어 턴온과 턴오프에 대하여 지연시간의 차이는 각각 6ns, 5ns 이다. 타이밍 부정합의 감소로 인하여 기준 스퍼는 -26dBc에서 -39dBc로 줄어들었다. 제안하는 전하 펌프는 CMOS $0.18{\mu}m$ 공정을 사용하여 설계하였다. 측정 결과 전하 펌프 출력 전압 범위 0.3~1.5V에서 최대 1.5%의 전류 부정합을 보인다.

보호/비보호 좌회전 신호운영(PPLT) 만족도 분석 (Drivers' Satisfaction of Protected/Permitted Left Turn(PPLT) Signal Operation)

  • 본 연구는 운전자들의 보호/비보호 좌회전(PPLT: Protected/Permitted and Left-Turn) 신호운영에 대한 만족도에 미치는 영향요인을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 운전자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 도로이용자의 다양한 요인(개인속성, 운전태도, PPLT의 기대심리 등)이 PPLT 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 구조방정식 모형을 구축하였다. 모형구축 결과, 모형의 적합도는 Q값, RMR, GIF, AGIF, NFI 모두 적합도기준(Critical value)에 만족되었으며, PPLT 운영에 대한 만족도는 사회경력과 운전경력이 비교적 길고 교통 관련 분야에 종사하는 남성의 선호도가 상대적으로 높고, 사고 경험이 없는 운전자인의 경우 PPLT 운영에 대한 선호도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, PPLT에 대한 만족도는 PPLT 운영으로 인한 교통안전 및 교통운영 증진, 환경개선 등의 기대가 높아질수록 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, PPLT 운영은 교통사고가 상대적으로 적게 발생되는 도심에 우선 적용하는 것이 바람직하고, PPLT의 도입효과를 높이기 위해서는 PPLT 운영에 대한 긍정적인 기대효과가 함양될 수 있도록 효과에 대한 적극적인 홍보가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

간호사의 비정규직 고용실태 및 관련요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Nurses' Contingent Employment and Related Factors)

  • Korean labor market has showed remarkable change of the increase in the amount of unemployment and contingent employment since IMF bailout agreement. There is a theoretical position to explain this increase in contingent employment at hospitals with the notion of flexibility. The high flexibility of employment due to the increase of contingent employees is becoming very important part in new business strategy of hospitals. The types of contingent employment of the nurse are part-time employment temporary employment, fixed-term employment, and internship which was introduced in early 1999. Recently, Korean health care industry managers have paid attention to the customer oriented service, rationalization of business administration, service quality control so that they can adjust their business to outer environment. Especially their efforts concentrate on the wage reduction through efficient and scientific control of man power because wage shares about 40% of total cost. This dissertation aims at verifying the phenomena of the contingent employment of the nurse and analyzing the related factors and problems. To rephrase these aims in ordinal: First, verifying the phenomena of contingent employment of the nurse. Second, verifying the problems of that phenomena. Third, analyzing the related factors of the contingent employment of the nurse. To accomplish these research goals, a statistical survey was executed. in which 384 questionnaires-66 for manager nurses, 318 for contingent nurses - were given to nurses working at 66 hospitals-which have at least 100 beds-in Seoul. Among them, 187 questionnaires-38 from manager nurses, 149 from contingent nurses'- 'were returned. Then, the data coded and submitted to T-test, $X^2$ -test, variance analysis(ANOVA), correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, Logistic Regression with SAS program. The research results of the contingent nurses are followings: 1. The average career term at the present hospital 8.4 months: duty-on days per month are 24.2 days: working time per day is 7.9 hours. These results showed little difference from regular nurses. 2. Their wage level is about 70% of regular nurses except for internship nurses whose wage level is 41% of regular nurses. To break down the wage composition, part-time nurses and internship nurses get few allowance and bonus. And contingent nurses get very low level of additional pay except for fixed-term nurses who are under similar condition of employment to regular nurses. These results show that hospital managers are trying to reduce the labor cost not only through the direct way of wage reduction but through differential treatment of bonus, retirement allowance, and other additional pay. 3. The problem of contingent employment: low level of pay; high level of turn-over rate: weakening of union; low level of working condition: heavy burden of work; inhuman treatment. The contingent nurses consider these problems more seriously than manager nurses do. What manager nurses regard problematic is the absence of feeling-belonged and responsibility of the contingent nurses. 4. The factors strongly related with the rate of the number of contingent nurses for the number of regular nurses; gross turn-over nurses; average in-patients per day; staring wage of graduate from professional college: the type of hospital ownership; the number of beds; the gap between gross newcomer nurses and gross turn-over nurses. The factors related with their gross wage per month; the number of beds; applying of health insurance; applying of industrial casualty insurance; applying of yearly-paid leave; the type of hospital ownership; average out-patients per day; gross turn-over nurses. The meaningful factors which make difference by employment type: monthly-paid leave; physiological leave. The logistic regression analysis using these two factors shows that monthly-paid leave is related with the type of hospital ownership; the number of beds; average out-patient per day, and physiological leave is related with the gross newcomer nurses; gross turn-over nurses; the number of beds.

345kV 계통 모델링 데이터를 활용한 과여자 보호계전기법 (Over-Excitation Protection Relaying using the 345kV Power System Modeling Data)

  • A large AC generator is an important component of the power system. It is a need for research of AC generator protection relay for the next-generation ECMS and an efficient operation of protection control system. However, most of protection and control systems used in power plants have been still imported as turn-key and operated in domestic. This may cause the lack of the correct understanding on the protection systems and methods, and thus have difficulties in optimal operation. In this paper, over-excitation protection relaying is one of the protective factors in generator protection IED was presented. The cause and protection principles were dealt and, DFT-based gain compensation algorithm was adopted for the frequency measurement. The Republic of Korea 345kV modeling data by EMTP-RV was used for performance evaluation.

공군 조종사 직무스트레스 요인과 이직의도 상관관계 연구 (A study on the relationship between the job stress factors and the turnover intention on the pilots of the Korean Air Force)

  • This study focused to find the main factors causing job stress to ROKAF pilots and of which factors affects to turnover intention. As a results, the factors of job stress are job characteristics, over loaded ground work, payment, promotion and employee benefits & service system. All of these 5 factors are positively related to the causes of a pilot stress. Among the job stress factors, payment, promotion and over loaded ground work are positively related as the same order. But, job characteristics and employee benefits & service system are not. Even though ROKAF pilots are stressed by annual requirement and night flying, and also are stressed by unfulfilled welfare, those two stress factors are not related to the turnover intention.
