Design and Characteristics Analysis of Switched Reluctance Motor for Electric Power Pallet Vehicle (전동지게차용 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기 설계 및 특성해석)

  • This paper presents the design and drive characteristics of a switched reluctance motor for an electric power pallet vehicle. The designed switched reluctance motor is redesigned by using the finite element analysis(FEA) as a variation of the pole-arc angle for the purpose of an electric power pallet vehicle performance. The output power and torque characteristics of a switched reluctance motor are variable by switching angles of the commutator. Therefor this paper is studied about relationship between the output power and torque characteristics of a switched reluctance motor according to switching angles. The output power of the characteristic point of an electric power pallet vehicle has been shown by experiment. The designed motor drive system operates with the low voltage and high current with using the battery. The core and frame temperatures were described. In this paper, the designed motor is shown better drive characteristics than the DC motor from the rated to maximum, which is verified by the finite element analysis and experimental results.

Characteristic Comparison between PI and Hysteresis Voltage Control of High Voltage Unidirectional Inverter for Piezoelectric Load using FPGA (FPGA를 이용한 피에조 부하 구동용 고전압 단방향 인버터의 PI 및 히스테리시스 전압 제어 특성 비교)

  • In this paper, hysteresis voltage control method is proposed to an unidirectional inverter control for piezoelectric load. Piezoelectric load has electrically RC characteristic, and is driven by the inverter to control the output voltage waveform. When controling the output waveform by PI control, appropriate gains need to be selected. However, hysteresis control may minimize the output distortion because it has maximum proportional gain. In addition, Hysteresis control algorithm has simple structure to realize and the response is fast. Although the switching frequency of the inverter by hysteresis control varies, the switching frequency for the piezoelectric load is lower than that by PI control for equivalent performance. In particular, on implementing the algorithm using FPGA, the algorithm can be implemented in fewer pabrics and the processing time can be reduced. The superiority of the proposed hysteresis voltage control was proved for piezoelectric load through simulation and experiment.

  • Recently, issues regarding environment and the diversification of dependence in oil are watched with keen interest. Wind power attracts most interest because of its high-energy efficiency with eco friendly functions. In this paper, deal with design of radial field permanent magnet synchronous generator for a urban wind power system. Analyzed the RFPM generator by electromagnetic, and designed wind power generator with this. The output characteristic of machine and all of process is analyzed by 2D FEA due to geometrical structures of RFPM machine.

  • This paper analyzes a operating characteristic for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of photovoltaic generation system. MPPT methods are used to maximize PV array output power by tracking maximum power point(MPP) continuously. To increase the output efficiency of PV system, it is important to have more efficient MPPT. MPPT algorithm is widely used the control method such as the perturbation and observation(PO) method, incremental conductance(IC) method and constant voltage(CV) method. In case of the radiation is changed, this paper proposes a response characteristic with MPPT control algorithms. Also, it proposes the direct for a novel MPPT control algorithm development through the analyzed data, hereby proves the effectiveness of this paper.

  • To reduce the problem of ecocide, the plating equipment, water treatment system, electrolysis facility in ship need high current high power rectifier. This paper shows entire constitution of the proposed high-current rectifier for electrolysis of seawater, describes a way to design controller and analyzes output characteristic of the rectifier.

  • The non-periodic angular accelerations of engine are the major cause of gear rattle. This gear rattle is based on the existence of a backlash between the drive gear of input shaft and the free gear of output shaft in the gearbox. Especially, the neutral gear rattle have a very bad effect on the ride quality. Test-rig was constructed in order to evaluate the parameter influence upon the neutral gear rattle. Also, each different 4 type torsional characteristic of clutch was manufactured. Experimental conditions are the use of each different 4 type torsional characteristic of clutch and oil temperature variation in gearbox. In case of the same stiffiness of pre-damper type clutch at idling, the clutch of large hysteresis showed dam- ping effects at the 2nd input gear and the 2nd output gear. Also, the main-damper type clutch was shown to large resonance phenomenon at the 2nd input gear. Accordingly, main-damper type clutch was unapp- roriate at idling.

  • This paper proposes a method to improve the performance of low cost infrared distance sensor. Infrared distance sensor measures the intensity of reflected light and converts it into distance. The proposed method improves the sensing distance of the sensor and makes it operate robustly in various lighting environments. This is achieved by extracting the characteristic curves of the sensor and applying the HDR (High Dynamic Range) technique. The output value of the sensor was obtained by varying the intensity of the infrared input and the exposure time, and the characteristic curve of the sensor was extracted from it.
