고압 WGS 반응을 위한 Cu-ZnO/Al2O3 촉매상에서 기-액 계면 촉매 반응 특성 연구 (Catalytic Activity Tests in Gas-Liquid Interface over Cu-ZnO/Al2O3 Catalyst for High Pressure Water-Gas-Shift Reaction)

  • In this study, the novel concept catalytic reactor was designed for water-gas shift reaction (WGS) under high pressure. The novel concept catalytic reactor was composed of an autoclave, the catalyst, and liquid water. Cu-ZnO/$Al_2O_3$ as the low temperature shift catalyst was used for WGS reaction. WGS in the novel concept catalytic reactor was carried out at the ranges of 150~$250^{\circ}C$ and 30~50 atm. The liquid water was filled at the bottom of the autoclave catalytic reactor and the catalyst of pellet type was located at the gas-liquid water interface. It was concluded that WGS reaction occurred over the surface of catalysts partially wetted with liquid water. The conversion of CO for WGS was also controlled with changing content of Cu and ZnO used as the catalytic active components. Meanwhile, the catalyst of honey comb type coated with Cu-ZnO/$Al_2O_3$ was used in order to increase the contact area between wet-surface of catalyst and the reactants of gas phase. It was confirmed from these experiments that $H_2$/CO ratio of the simulated coal gas increased from 0.5 to 0.8 by WGS at gas-liquid water interface over the wet surface of honey comb type catalyst at $250^{\circ}C$ and 50 atm.

통계적 실험계획법을 이용한 제올라이트 4A 합성 최적화 (Optimization of Synthesis Process for Zeolite 4A Using Statistical Experimental Design)

  • 통계적 실험계획법을 이용하여 나노입자 합성 공정의 최적화 방법론을 제시하기 위하여 대상 물질로 제올라이트 4A의 합성을 수행하였다. 실리콘 전구체인 sodium metasilicate (SMS)의 농도를 조절하여 합성한 제올라이트 4A를 XRD, SEM 및 질소흡착법으로 특성분석 하였다. 특히 XRD 분석으로 결정한 결정도로 제올라이트 4A의 합성결과를 판단할 수 있었다. 실험계획법 중 일반요인분석을 이용하여 반응장치, 반응온도 및 반응시간에 따른 주효과도 및 교호작용을 분석하였다. 또한 반응표면분석법을 통하여 결정도 최대치를 가지는 제올라이트 4A를 합성할 수 있는 최적의 조건으로 계산하였다. 구체적으로는 autoclave를 사용하고 반응시간 3 h 및 반응온도 $110^{\circ}C$의 반응조건이 제시되었다. 더욱이 실리콘 전구체로 Ludox를 사용하는 조건하에서, 다양한 결정화도를 가지는 제올라이트 4A에 대한 최적의 합성조건을 모든 범위에서 대하여 표면도와 등고선도를 이용하여 제시하였다.

전부도재 수복을 위한 무색지르코니아 세라믹의 저온열화에 따른 굴곡강도 변화 (The flexural strength Changes by the Low Temperature Degradation of Uncolored zirconia Ceramic for All Ceramic Restoration)

  • In the orthopedic field which firstly used zirconia as artificial joints, researchers had studied the reasons for collapsing zirconia used as restorative material by accumulated inner cracks in several years and they found out Low Temperature Degradation is one of the reasons. In the dentistry field, it has not been too long since they used zirconia as the cores of all-ceramic restoration; however, the study is needed as prophylactic measure against Low Temperature Degradation which can be caused by saliva wetting the mouth all the time and frictional forces such as bite pressure and masticatory pressure. Artificial aging by autoclaving is used because there are difficulties of testing in the patient's mouth. To study the changes in the material properties, the flexural strength of dental zirconia ceramic is measured before and after the test. The following are the result of the test. 1) The zirconia blocks in the autoclaves at $130^{\circ}C$ and $200^{\circ}C$ are phase-shifted tetragonal to monoclinic by Low Temperature Degradation. 2)The non-autoclaved specimens have the average fractural strength of 1346.4MPa, the specimens autoclaved at $130^{\circ}C$ have 1226.4Mpa and the specimens autoclaved at $200^{\circ}C$ have 1024.1MPa. The tests show that as the temperature increases, the flexural strength tend to decrease and the differences are noticeable(p<0.001). 3)Through the Duncan's post-hoc test, the differences in flexural strength of the 3 groups were listed in order of strength like normal temperature>at $130^{\circ}C$ autoclave low temperature degradation> at $200^{\circ}C$ autoclave low temperature degradation.

수지필름 인퓨전 탄소섬유 복합재료를 적용한 무인항공기용 구조체 개발 (Development of Resin Film Infusion Carbon Composite Structure for UAV)

  • 최근 널리 연구되고 있는 대표적인 OOA(out-of-autoclave) 공정의 하나인 수지필름 인퓨전(resin film infusion, RFI) 공정은 우수한 기계적 물성과 수지의 균일한 함침성을 가지면서도 대형 구조물에서의 공정비용을 대폭 저감할 수 있는 장점을 지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 RFI 탄소섬유 복합재를 2 m 이상급 무인기 구조체에 적용하여 구조적 안전성을 향상시킴과 동시에 경량화를 달성하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 재료 인장시험결과 T300급 탄소섬유 복합재료와 비교하였을 시 강도는 46% 높은 결과를 보이며 강성은 유사한 수준임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 상기 재료물성을 적용한 탄소섬유 복합재 날개구조의 설계 및 해석 결과, 유리섬유 복합재를 적용한 기존 모델 대비 날개 길이방향 강성이 증가하여 날개 끝단 처짐량은 31% 감소하고 구조 안전계수가 28% 증가함과 동시에 전체 구조의 무게를 10% 이상 경량화 가능함을 확인하였다.

속경화용 탄소섬유/에폭시 프리프레그의 다단 압축 성형기술 (Multi-stage Compression Molding Technology of Fast Curing CF/Epoxy Prepreg)

  • 프리프레그 압축성형(PCM, Prepreg Compression Molding) 공정은 고품질 CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) 제품을 제조할 수 있는 고속성형기술이다. 오토클레이브 공정에 비해 폐기물 발생이 적고 사이클타임을 크게 줄일 수 있어 항공우주 및 자동차 산업에서 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 PCM 공정의 품질을 높이기 위해 프리프레그의 경화거동을 따라 프레스의 압축압력을 단계별로 증가시키는 성형법에 대해 연구하였고, 이러한 다단 압축 성형법이 우수한 품질의 CFRP 제품을 생산하고 사이클타임을 단축할 수 있는 좋은 수단임을 확인하였다. 그리고 상온에서 적층한 프리프레그를 금형에 투입하여 예열과 성형을 동시에 함으로써 별도의 예열 공정 없이 제품을 성형할 수 있었다. 또한 평판 성형에 최적화된 공정조건을 3차원 형상물에 동일하게 적용한 결과 외관상 평판과 유사한 제품을 공정조건 수립 과정 없이 만들 수 있었다.

섬유보강 경량골재 콘크리트의 역학적 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Characterization of the Mechanical Properties of Fiber-Reinforced Lightweight Concrete)

  • An experimental study is conducted to charaterize the mechanical properties of a fiber-reinforced, lightweight concrete (FRLAC) that is produced without an autoclave process. The FRLAC enhances the strength of lightweight cellular concrete by adding polypropylene fibers. A series of compressive strength tests on cylindrical specimens are carried out to characterize the compressive strength and the modulus of elasticity of the FRLAC. Specifically, various mixing rates of a foam agent are applied in casting of the specimens to investigate the influence of the mixing rate of the foam agent on the performance of the FRLAC and to determine the optimal mixing rate of the foam agent.

가염형 폴리프로필렌직물의 열처리에 따른 물성변화 (Effect of heat setting on physical properties of dyeable polypropylene(DPP) fabric)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the defects of DPP fabric by heat setting and to describe the change of physical properties of DPP fabrics. The thermosetting was carried out in autoclave from 100 to 140$^{\circ}C$ temperature range for 10min.. In this study, we investigated the effect of the thermosetting temperatures on the structural, thermal, mechanical properties and dyeability of DPP fabrics. The melting peak of multi peak changed to single peak with an increased thermosetting temperatures. The melting energy(J/g), the tensile strength and elongation were found to increase with increasing temperature of heat setting. The diffraction peak at Bragg angle(2${\theta}$) about 13.8$^{\circ}$ were very strong, and diffraction intensity, d-spacing and half-width decreased with increasing thermosetting temperatures. On the other hand, the dyeability(K/S) and crease recovery decreased with an increasing thermosetting temperatures.

비대칭 적층판의 곡률형상에 대한 미끄러짐 효과 (Slippage Effects on the Curvature Shape of Unsymmetric Laminates)

  • The room-temperature shapes of cured unsymmetric composite laminates have out-of-plane warping after autoclave processing. In addition, they exhibit two stable room-temperature configurations due to snap-through phenomena when the side length of laminates exceeds a critical value. The cured shapes of unsymmetric laminates are influenced by many environmental factors. Experiments show that the effect of too-plate cannot be ignored and has significant influence on the cured shape of unsymmetric laminates. In this present study, approximations to the strain fields are used in the expression for the total potential energy and the Rayleigh-Ritz method is applied. The slippage effects resulting from the interaction between the laminates and the tool-plate are considered. By introducing a dimensionless slippage coefficient and correlating the corresponding value with experimental results, the influence of processing parameters is investigated. Modeling is extended to predict curvatures of plate configurations with various aspect ratio.

Effect of Hydrothermal Treatment on the Antioxidant Activity of Rice Hull Extracts

  • Hydrothermal treatment of rice hull was hydrothermal carried out at 105, 110, $121^{\circ}C$ for 15, 30, 60 min, respectively, using a conventional autoclave. Antioxidant activity of the hydrothermal treated rice hull extract was evaluated by determining total phenol contents (TPC), 1,1-diphenyl-2-picylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity (RSA), reducing power, and ABTS RSA. TPC, DPPH RSA, reducing power, and 2,2-azinobis(3-ethylenebenzothiozoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) RSA of the extract were significantly increased with increasing treated temperature and time. For example, hydrothermal extracts at $121^{\circ}C$ for 60 min increased the TPC, DPPH RSA, reducing power, and ABTS RSA to 0.840 mg/mL, 64.77%, 1.437, and 92.11%, respectively, while those of the extracts treated at $105^{\circ}C$ for 60 min were 0.508 mg/mL, 51.23%, 0.819, and 45.22%, respectively. The results indicated that hydrothermal treatment of rice hull was very effective to increase phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity of rice hull extract.
