Objectives: This clinical study reports on the effects of Yukgunja-tang on aspiration pneumonia.Method: This case examined a comatose male patient who suffers from continuous regurgitation. He showed symptoms of aspiration pneumonia with accompanying gastroesophageal reflux. We gave the patient Yukgunja-tang for 28 days and observed any changes in symptoms.Results: During the period when the patient was given Yukgunja-tang, he defecated on his own without glycerin enema, regurgitation occurred less frequently, and the aspiration pneumonia symptoms improved.Conclusion: Yukgunja-tang helped the patient's bowel movements move more quickly and smoothly through his colon. As a result, Yukgunja-tang appears to have prevented regurgitation and aspiration pneumonia.

We experienced an improved case of Jungkijeung assuming an aspect of pseudo seizure with Oriental medical treatment. For diagnosis of Jungkijeung(中氣證), first of all, we must take one's physicals actively using occidental diagnostic machinery and tools, In result, we can diagnose Jungkijeung(中氣證) in case of normal. In treatment of Jungkijeung(中氣證), it is considered that oriental psychotherapy and oriental medical treatment(herb-med, acupuncture, etc.) are more effective than occidental.

We presented an ataxia patient who was difficult to diagnose and treated her by oriental medical treatment. We applied various methods of oriental medicine including herb medicine, acupunture, moxibustion and so on. After that, we checked the extent of dysarthria, pruritus, finger to nose and rapid alternative movement and measured the progress of general condition with Modified Barthel Index(MBI). After the oriental medical treatment was applied to her, ataxia, dysarthria, pruritus, finger to nose and rapid alternative movement were improved. The score of MBI was improved from 45 to 71, too. Even though there is no exact pattern identification about ataxia in oriental medicine, the oriental medicine can have an effect on the ataxia patient. In addition, more clinical study and observation should be needed.

Objectives : This study was conducted to classify the TA(traffic accident) patients who admissed in Oriental Medical Hospital. Methods : We divided TA patients who admissed in Oriental Medical Hospital by age, sex, visited period after onset, impact region, disease, and chief complaint according to a patient classification table, and analyzed their characteristics. Results and Conclusion : The patients who visited within 1 week after TA numbered most(65.4%) in classification by period. Most impact region was neck(80%). Most of TA patients were suffered and treated by cervical(80%) and lumbar(56.9%) sprain.

We experienced a case of patient of incomplete spinal cord injury following slipping off his clothes. He had complications : both leg paresisㆍboth arm weaknessㆍurine disturbanceㆍboth leg & arm sensory disorder . We could treat these complications with the methods of medical treatments ; acupunctureㆍmoxa therapyㆍherb-medicationㆍelectro-acupuncture & muscle exercises. We obtained results that motor grade and muscle atrophy were improved.

There were a few case reports on the treatment of Takayasu's arteritis. We had a good effect on one patient with Takayasu's arteritis by oriental medicine therapy. We use acupuncture, herbal acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxa, negative thrapy, kinesio taping therapy, physical therapy and exercise for 82 days. In this case, Left hemiparesis, dysarthria, pulseless, disturbances of urination, headache, dizziness improved after treatment. We experienced improvement in this symptoms of Takayasu's arteritis by oriental medicine treatment.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to review on exercise therapy of oriental medicine and investigate the effect of Oriental medicine's exercise therapy. Methods : We have researched and analyzed theories and literatures of Oriental medicine's exercise therapy. Result : The following results were obtained in this study. 1. The Doin therapy is one of Oriental medicine's traditional rules for one´s health which based on 'Unity of Heaven and Man'. It grow and supply the 'Qi' for improve health, and connote solution of modern society's various diseases. 2. The Chuna therapy is one of Oriental medicine's traditional therapy that treat harden, set in or malposition of musculoskeletal system 3. Meditation refers to all activities that concentrate the consciousness to current state, have physiological and psychological effects such as pain and stress management. 4. Oriental medicine's exercise therapy connote the strength that apply to medical care for the aged and psychical disorders of modern man. 5. For revitalization of Oriental medicine's exercise therapy, need more active public relations, develop modern methods of Qigong and Significant clinical research on the effects must be carried out. Conclusion : Oriental medicine's exercise therapy can be a solution to various diseases of modern society, and need significant research for revitalization.

Guillain-Barre syndrome, or acute inflammatory demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy, is frequently accompanied by cardiac and autonomic dysfunction. We report a patient who had tachycardia, orthostatic hypotension, hypertension, pronounced blood pressure fluctuations, abnormal sweating, constipation and urinary frequency as well as qudriparesis. We thought that the GBS was incurred by Damp-Heat, used Heat-Clearing and Dampness-Transforming decoction(Chongjoo-tang) in the early stage. In the later stage, fortifying the Spleen and Boosting Qi plus Supplementing the Kidney decoction(Palmultang+chongawon) was used to remove low back pain and boost recovery. The patient reached the nadir 14 days after onset. He became bed-bound and autonomic dysfunction was very severe. From 3rd week, abnormalities of autonomic function and paresis impoved gradually and he could walk above 5m without walker or equivalent support at the 5th week after onset.
