Extracting ground points is the kernel of DTM generation being considered as one of the most popular LIDAR applications. The previous extraction approaches can be mostly characterized as a point based approach, which sequentially examines every individual point to determine whether it is measured from ground surfaces. The number of examinations to be performed is then equivalent to the number of points. Particularly in a large set, the heavy computational requirement associated with the examinations is obviously an obstacle to employing more sophisticated criteria for the examination. To reduce the number of entities to be examined and produce more robust results, we developed an approach based on features rather than points, where a feature indicates an entity constructed by grouping some points. In the proposed approach, we first generate a set of features by organizing points into surface patches and grouping the patches into surface clusters. Among these features, we then attempt to identify the ground features with the criteria based on the attributes of the features. The points grouped into these identified features are labeled ground points, being used for DTM generation afterward. The Proposed approach was applied to many real airborne LIDAR data sets. The analysis on the results strongly supports the prominent performance of the proposed approach in terms of not only the computational requirement but also the quality of the DTM.
This paper makes an effort to compare the recently evolved soft classification method based on Linear Spectral Mixture Modeling (LSMM) with the traditional hard classification methods based on Iterative Self-Organizing Data Analysis (ISODATA) and Maximum Likelihood Classification (MLC) algorithms in order to achieve appropriate results for mapping, monitoring and preserving valuable coastal wetland ecosystems of southern India using Indian Remote Sensing Satellite (IRS) 1C/1D LISS-III and Landsat-5 Thematic Mapper image data. ISODATA and MLC methods were attempted on these satellite image data to produce maps of 5, 10, 15 and 20 wetland classes for each of three contrast coastal wetland sites, Pitchavaram, Vedaranniyam and Rameswaram. The accuracy of the derived classes was assessed with the simplest descriptive statistic technique called overall accuracy and a discrete multivariate technique called KAPPA accuracy. ISODATA classification resulted in maps with poor accuracy compared to MLC classification that produced maps with improved accuracy. However, there was a systematic decrease in overall accuracy and KAPPA accuracy, when more number of classes was derived from IRS-1C/1D and Landsat-5 TM imagery by ISODATA and MLC. There were two principal factors for the decreased classification accuracy, namely spectral overlapping/confusion and inadequate spatial resolution of the sensors. Compared to the former, the limited instantaneous field of view (IFOV) of these sensors caused occurrence of number of mixture pixels (mixels) in the image and its effect on the classification process was a major problem to deriving accurate wetland cover types, in spite of the increasing spatial resolution of new generation Earth Observation Sensors (EOS). In order to improve the classification accuracy, a soft classification method based on Linear Spectral Mixture Modeling (LSMM) was described to calculate the spectral mixture and classify IRS-1C/1D LISS-III and Landsat-5 TM Imagery. This method considered number of reflectance end-members that form the scene spectra, followed by the determination of their nature and finally the decomposition of the spectra into their endmembers. To evaluate the LSMM areal estimates, resulted fractional end-members were compared with normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), ground truth data, as well as those estimates derived from the traditional hard classifier (MLC). The findings revealed that NDVI values and vegetation fractions were positively correlated ($r^2$= 0.96, 0.95 and 0.92 for Rameswaram, Vedaranniyam and Pitchavaram respectively) and NDVI and soil fraction values were negatively correlated ($r^2$ =0.53, 0.39 and 0.13), indicating the reliability of the sub-pixel classification. Comparing with ground truth data, the precision of LSMM for deriving moisture fraction was 92% and 96% for soil fraction. The LSMM in general would seem well suited to locating small wetland habitats which occurred as sub-pixel inclusions, and to representing continuous gradations between different habitat types.
This study delineates how recipients access, understand, and make use of social welfare information in their life-worlds. Through this vivid illustration about recipients' information behaviors, this research aims to suggest that government-centred welfare informatization policy should be readjusted. South Korean government has made enormous efforts to deliver and share social welfare information and knowledge with recipients, by organizing IT eduction programmes, offering free computers, and opening welfare portals. However, despite of such endeavors, not a few recipients find difficulty in gaining, grasping, and using welfare information. In fact, welfare informatization programmes have so far been initiated by the governmental bureaucratic system, and the voice of recipients have hardly been reflected on the informatization policy. Starting from this problem, this study examines how low-income recipients perceive and accept social welfare information in their daily lives and reflects on social welfare information at their point. For this purpose, this research conducted in-depth interviews with 14 recipients and analyzed the data using a framework analysis method. Based on the results, it raises the need for the remodelling of current welfare informatization measures from the perspective of recipients rather than following the custom of the bureaucratic system.
This study is a study that developed class materials that can be applied directly to classes by field teachers in consideration of ' research on the development is valuable as a field support study.', 'In material development, organizing data centering on the knowledge composition and inquiry activities of characters related to the mathematics concept can help develop class materials', and 'The fact that the development of subject data for has been insufficient'. To this end, this study went through the procedure of 'establishing a data development plan, data development, verifying field teachers on development data, verifying subject experts on development data, and developing final data reflecting verification opinions.' Therefore, based on the 1st 50 minutes reflecting the task exploration model, it was possible to develop class materials for the 3rd time. In this study, development data were presented with a 17-week curriculum plan, a class guidance plan that presents teacher-student interaction, and a task development form that students fill out and submit in class. This study was developed with the developed data in mind to be applied to actual classes. Therefore, a follow-up study is needed to apply the developed data to actual classes and analyze the results.
The purpose of this research was to present the basic data for developing meditation programs by verifying the effect size using meta-analysis of the results from previous studies on meditation program of the elderly. In order to analyze the effect sizes of program types, group of mediating variables and activity factors of elderly meditation programs, this study reviewed 24 precedent research that have been conducted from 2003 through April 2017 in Korea using meta-analysis and summarized the effect sizes are as follows. First, the overall average effect size was .914, which was great. Among the program types, complex meditation was 1.726, which was the greatest. Among the group of mediating variables, the positive psychological variable group had the highest in 1.368 and the gender consists only of women had the highest in .921. Secondly, concerning the activity factors, when the total number of sessions was 12~20 times(1.193), sessions per week was twice(1.254), time went for 110~120 minutes per session(1.581) and the group size was 71~100 persons(1.535) that were shown as higher effect size. Among the types of publications, articles in journals(1.062) had a higher effect size than dissertations(.817). For the organizing elderly meditation program in the future, I suggest that the program type of complex meditation, 12~20 time of total sessions, twice a week, 110~120 minutes of activity hours. At the time we entered the aged society, this study is meaningful in that it provides the basic data for future program development by confirming the effect size according to program types, mediation variables and activity factors for the meditation program performed for the elderly.
Career guidance refers to services intended to assist students to make educational and occupational choices and to manage their careers. Young students, specially enrolled in vocational high schools, need programs to help them make transitions to the working world and to re-engage with further learning, and career guidance needs to be part of such programs. Teachers assume the critical roles in planning and organizing the career guidance programs in vocational high schools. The program includes career information provision, assessment and self-assessment tools, career counseling, work search, etc. In this study, we developed a research model based upon TRA(theory of reasoned action) developed by Ajzen and Fishbein to investigate the factors influencing the intention to provide career guidance services to students in vocational high schools. Based on 155 survey responses from vocational high school teachers, we show that attitude and subjective norm motivate teachers to provide career guidance services, and that attitude toward career guidance is directly influenced by self-efficacy for career guidance and burden from extra work. It was also confirmed that facilitating condition is the antecedent of self-efficacy. But contrary to our expectation, self-efficacy for career guidance has no significant effect on the intention for providing career guidance services at 5% significance level. In light of these findings, implications for theory and practice are discussed.
In this essay, I examine the interactions of chronotopes in the narrative of Gangnam Blues, a film written and directed by Yu Ha and released in 2015. Bakhtin's chronotope, the connectedness of temporal and spatial relationships in literary narratives, provides the background for the representability of events and becomes the organizing center for the events. Each chronotope offers a different way of acting, interacting and understanding experience, and chronotopes can interact with each other in a single text or between the reader and the represented world. Gangnam Blues is a gangster movie, first of all, showing an individual's illusion of an unlimited possibility for achieving wealth and power. At the same time, the film describes the government's project to transform Gangam, a rural area in the south of the Han, into a new downtown and residential area for Seoul. As the world in the narrative and the world of the author or the reader are all chronotopic, we can see the interactions of chronotopes between the narrative of an individual and the historical narrative, as well as between the narrative about the beginning of Gangnam and the audience's perception of the present Gangnam. In this film, the main character's ambition is shown as part of the social desire for rapid economic achievements in the 1970s, along with high social mobility. The social desire can be explained as envy, as it is fueled by social comparisons and competitions. The main character's pursuit of money and power through the possession of Gangnam land overlaps with the envious desire for the present Gangnam shared by many. The individual's exceptional ambition and violence are not fully examined in this text. Moreover, the film's dependence on the feelings of envy to represent the individual's choice and violence can be a symptom of the lack of critical distance from social desire and envy.

This study sought to find out what the most ideal and appropriate native English speakers-Korean English teacher cooperative class model and the defining factors for organizing effective cooperative classes in the English education environment of our country. To achieve this goal, a total of 165 sixth graders of five elementary schools in Seoul were subject to the study. For about a month from April 1 to April 30, 2019, the survey and statistical analysis were conducted, including multiple return analysis, correlation analysis, cross analysis, and t/F verification. In summary, the results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that among the recognition of cooperative classes between native English speakers and Korean English teachers, it affected the defining factors in the order of class-related skills, task orientation, teaching-learning strategies, and motivation. Second, based on learner characteristics, the difference in perception of cooperative classes between native English speakers and Korean English teachers was verified, and the perception of native-Korean English teachers' cooperative classes was different depending on gender and the type of English cooperative classes currently participating, but the recognition of native-Korean English-Korean English cooperative classes, which were statistically significant, was not confirmed. Third, according to learner characteristics, the difference in the definition factors of the learner was verified and the difference between the sexes occurred, but the learner-defined factors according to the current type of English cooperative class did not occur. Also, there was no difference in the definition factors of scholars according to the type of English cooperative classes desired.
