5G 이동통신시스템 동향 및 기술적 요구사항 (Trends and Technical Requirements for 5G Mobile Communication Systems)

  • 4세대 이동통신인 LTE의 성공적인 도입과 함께 최근 유럽, 중국, 일본 등 주요국은 2020년 5세대 이동통신 상용화를 목표로 기술, 표준화, 시장 주도를 위해 경쟁적으로 연구 개발 및 투자를 본격화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 5G 이동통신의 향후 발전 방향을 가늠해보기 위해서 현재 국내외에서 진행되고 있는 5G 이동통신시스템의 전반적인 동향과 함께 각 국가에서 설정하고 있는 시스템 요구사항에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다.

발전기 보호용 다기능 IED 시제품 H/W 구현에 관한 연구 (A Study on Implementation of Multi-Function Prototype IED H/W for Generator Protection)

  • Generator faults does not happen more often than the transmission and substation facility faults. However, impacts on the power system by generator faults are very large. In order to minimize the impact of generator faults, generator protection and control system with high reliability is required. Most of the generator relay in generator protection and control system of large power plant of Korea is operated by imports from abroad. Accordingly, in order to accumulate source technology and increase the import substitution effect, localization of multi-function generator protection IED is being developed. This paper deals with the implementation of a multi-function prototype IED H/W, which can be command and data exchange through communication for measuring, monitoring, protection and control. And the IED specification, various relay elements, measurement elements, communication functions, module function, and test system for the prototype IED H/W are described.

멀티 에이전트 개념에 기반한 배전계통의 분산 자율적 고장구간 분리 기법 (Autonomous Separation Methodology of Faulted Section based on Multi-Agent Concepts in Distribution System)

  • In this paper, autonomous separation methodology of faulted section based on network is proposed newly, which can minimize the outage effect as compared with the existing center-based faulted section separation method by determining and separating autonomously the faulted section by the free operation information exchange among IEDs on the feeder of distribution system. The all IEDs is designed in network in which client/server function is possible in order to separate autonomously the faulted section using PtP(Peer to Peer) communication. Also, Inference based solution of IED for the autonomous faulted section separation is designed by rules obtained from the analyzing results of distribution system topology. Here, the switch IEDs transmit on network the fault information utilizing on multi-casting communication method, at the fame time, determine selfly whether they operates or not by inferencing autonomously the faulted section using the inference-based solution after receiving the transmitted information. Finally, in order to verify the effectiveness and application possibility of the proposed methodology, the diversity fault cases are simulated for the typical distribution system.

Design of Falling Context-aware System based on Notification Service using Location Information and Behavior Data

  • The majority of existing falling recognition techniques provide service by recognizing only that the falling occurred. However, it is important to recognize not only the occurrence of falling but also the situation before and after the falling, as well as the location of the falling. In this paper, we design and propose the falling notification service system to recognize and provide service. This system uses the acceleration sensor of the smartphone to recognize the occurrence of a falling and the situation before and after the falling. In order to check the location of falling, GPS sensor data is used in the Google Map API to map to the map. Also, a crosswalk map converted into grid-based coordinates based on the longitude and latitude of the crosswalk is stored, and the locations before and after falling are mapped. In order to reduce the connection speed and server overload for real-time data processing, fog computing and cloud computing are designed to be distributed processing.

  • ZigBee를 이용한 개인영역망으로 구성된 무선 다중 통합 레이저 교전 시스템을 구현하였다. 무선 레이저 검출기는 아날로그 신호처리, 해독 및 무선통신 기능을 갖추어야하는 반면 병사의 신체에 부착될 수 있도록 저전력소모, 소형 및 경량화 되어야한다. 소형 및 경량화를 위해 해독기는 소프트웨어적으로 구현하였고, 협대역 광학 필터를 이용하여 시스템의 부하를 줄여줌으로써 저전력화를 꽤하였다. 제작된 무선 레이저 검출기는 광잡음 환경에서도 정상 작동하였다. 무선 개인영역망을 통한 PU(Player Unit)와의 통신은 무선 레이저 검출기의 부착 위치에 따라 다소 차이가 있었으나 -40.2dBm이상의 출력으로 송신할 경우 100%의 수신율을 확보할 수 있었다.

IoT Healthcare Communication System for IEEE 11073 PHD and IHE PCD-01 Integration Using CoAP

  • With the proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT) healthcare devices, significant interoperability issue arises where devices use proprietary data transfer protocols. The IHE PCD-01 standard has been suggested for the exchange of healthcare data in ISO/IEEE 11073 PHD data model. However, the PCD-01 is not efficient to be used in the IoT environment. This is because the use of SOAP for PCD-01 may be too complex to be implemented in the resource-constrained IoT healthcare devices. In this paper, we have designed a communication system to implement ISO/IEEE 11073 and IHE PCD-01 integration using the IETF CoAP. More specifically, we have designed the architecture and procedures, using CoAP, to seamlessly transmit the bio-signal from the tiny resource-constrained IoT healthcare devices to the server in a standardized way. We have also built the agent, gateway, and PCD-01 interface at the server, all of which are using the CoAP as a communication protocol. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, we have used the PCD data to be transmitted over CoAP, MQTT, and HTTP. The evaluation of the system performance shows that the use of CoAP results in faster transaction and lesser cost than other protocols, with less battery power consumption.

전력선 암호화 통신을 위한 마이크로콘트롤러 기반 카오스 신호 발생기: 1부 - 시스템 뷰 (Microcontroller-based Chaotic Signal Generator for Securing Power Line Communication: Part I-A System View)

  • In this paper, the chaos-based secure scheme for power line communication is proposed for the first time. A digitalized chaotic generator based Lorenz system is utilized for generating nonlinear dynamic chaotic signal for masking the information signal instead of reported analog chaotic generators. A simple method of encryption and decryption is also given. In order to confirm the feasibility of the proposed scheme, the system is simulated using a simplified encryption/decryption method in Proteus. The gained results from simulation demonstrated that by using the chaos-based security method, the data can be encrypted and easily transmitted through the power line network efficiently.

  • 본 논문은 통신보조시스템을 위한 문장생성의 구현과 설계에 관한 것이다. 통신보조시스템은 언어장애인을 위한 보조 시스템으로서 시간과 키의 수를 줄여 문장을 생성하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 문장생성의 장단점을 보완하여 문장생성을 하였다. 문장생성을 위하여 동사와 조사에 따라 명사가 한정되는 한글 구조를 이용하였다. 본 논문의 특징은 도메인 개념을 이용하여 명사와 동사를 연결하였다. 문장생성을 위해 한글의 특성으로 구축한 어휘정보를 이용하였다. 또한 현재 문장생성에 관한 여러 방법을 비교하였다. 문장생성은 문장특징 추출에 의한 어휘정보에 바탕을 둔다.

  • In recent years, with the spread of communication media, such as a cellular phone and E-mail, we are able to communicate with others without any restriction of position or time. However, complexity of communicative context has increased so that user has to guess a partner user's situation and status in order to use various medias efficiently. This problem will grow larger as new media are brought in the expanding communications network. To solve this problem, we propose the system that guesses the context in communication by a user's media from the position information on PHS (Personal Handy phone System) and schedule information from schedule application. In this system a user's agent guesses automatically the context that owner has set, and answers the demand of the context from a partner user. Moreover, the agent decides a suitable answer, when there is a demand of communication by the media, which cannot be used.

하이드로폰 송신 어레이를 이용한 수중 음향 통신 시스템의 성능 향상 (Performance Enhancement of Underwater Acoustic Communication System Using Hydrophone Transmit Array)

  • 본 논문에서는 수중에서 송신 빔 형성기를 이용한 고속 데이터 전송 기법을 연구하였다. 또한 범용 디지털 신호처리 프로세서와 다수의 디지탈-아날로그 변환기를 이용한 시험용 송신단을 설계 및 구현하였으며, 구현된 시스템을 이용하여 수조에서 실험을 수행하여 그 성능을 분석하였다. 이때 실험 과정을 단순화하기 위하여 채널 코딩 및 등화기 (equalizer) 등과 같은 과정은 생략하였고, 간장 간단한 디지털 통신 변조 기법인 OOK(On-Off keying) 기법을 사용하였다. 실험 결과 5개의 하이드로폰 송신 어레이를 사용한 경우에 1개만 사용했을 때보다 오차율 10/sup -2/을 기준으로 전송 속도가 약 3배 향상되었으며, 실험에 사용된 수조에서 음성 신호 전송을 위해 400 bps 정도까지 가능함을 확인하였다.
