NN 필터 추적을 위한 최적 신호 강도 및 검출 문턱값 선택 (Selection of Signal Strength and Detection Threshold for Optimal Tracking with Nearest Neighbor Filter)

  • 이 논문에서는 NN 필터를 이용한 표적추적을 위한 최적의 신호 강도 및 표적 검출 문턱값을 구하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 HYCA 방식을 이용하여 NN 필터의 추적성능을 예측할 수 있도록 하고, 이것에 기초하여 예측된 추적성능과 신호 강도 및 표적 검출 문턱값 사이의 관계를 나타내었다. 그리고 이러한 관계를 이용하여 다음과 같은 다양한 비용에 대한 최적 파라미터를 얻었다: (1)위치 추정 오차 분산 합을 최소화하는 최적의 표적 검출 문턱값 순열(sequence); (2)유효 게이트 면적 합을 최소화하는 최적의 표적 검출 문턱값 순열; (3)표적 신호 강도 합을 최소화하는 최적 표적 신호 강도 및 표적 검출 문턱값 순열.

한우 인공수정에서 수정적기 진단키트 활용이 수태율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Optimal Heat Detection Kit on Fertility after Artificial Insemination (AI) in Hanwoo (Korean Native cattle))

  • This study was conducted to investigate the optimal artificial insemination (AI) time with diagnostic kit at ovulation time. We already applied the patent about the protein in the cow heat mucose in external reproductive tract. And we would examine the accuracy for detection of cow heat by the kit produced with the protein. Evaluation of optimal heat detection was tried two time at 12 hrs and 24 hrs after the heat. And then, AI service also performed two times with no relation to the results of heat diagnosis by heat detection kit and pregnancy rates were checked with rectal palpation on $60^{th}$ day after AI. Heat diagnostic results by kit in natural heat after 12 hrs in Hanwoo cows were showed 31.3~75.0% on positive in first heat detection and 33.3~100.0% on positve in second heat detection. In the $1^{st}$ positive results were significant different (p<0.05), but $2^{nd}$ positive were not. The results of heat detection showed different result on regional influence and individual cow effects. The pregnancy rates of first trial of heat detection were showed 34.4~78.7% on positive and 21.3~68.8% on negative after the diagnosis by heat detection kit. And the pregnancy rates of next trial of heat detection were showed 33.3~85.7% on positive and 14.3~66.6% on negative after the heat diagnosis. Both positive results of first trial and next trial also were showed significant different (p<0.05), but negative results were not. In positive result, first trial of total pregnancy rates was higher than the next trial of pregnancy, but there showed opposite results on negative results. In conclusion, the optimal heat detection kit is suitable to ordinary Hanwoo cows and it suggested that we have to improve the kit's accuracy by detecting the materials like proteins related optimal AI time.

  • Analog CPPN-based optimal road boundary detection algorithm for autonomous vehicle is proposed. The CPPN is a massively connected analog parallel array processor. In the paper, the dynamic programming which is an efficient algorithm to find the optimal path is implemented with the CPPN algorithm. If the image of road-boundary information is utilized as an inter-cell distance, and goals and start lines are positioned at the top and the bottom of the image, respectively, the optimal path finding algorithm can be exploited for optimal road boundary detection. By virtue of the parallel and analog processing of the CPPN and the optimal solution of the dynamic programming, the proposed road boundary detection algorithm is expected to have very high speed and robust processing if it is implemented into circuits. The proposed road boundary algorithm is described and simulation results are reported.

  • The optimal use of sonar systems for detection is a practical problem in a given ocean environment. In order to quantify the mission achievability in general, measure of effectiveness(MOE) is defined for specific missions. In this paper, using the specific MOE for detection, which is represented as cumulative detection probability(CDP), an integrated software package named as Optimal Acoustic Search Path Planning(OASPP) is developed. For a given ocean environment and sonar systems, the discrete observations for detection probability(PD) are used to calculate CDP incorporating sonar and environmental parameters. Also, counter-detection probability is considered for vulnerability analysis for a given scenario. Through modeling and simulation for a simple case for which an intuitive solution is known, the developed code is verified.

  • We consider fault detection and isolation (FDI) problem for inertial navigation systems (INS) which use redundant inertial sensors and propose an FDI method using average of multiple parity vectors which reduce false alarm and wrong isolation, and improve correct isolation. We suggest optimal isolation threshold based on navigation performance, and suggest optimal sample number to obtain short detection time and to enhance detectability of faults little larger than threshold.

  • This paper presents the optimal design of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring for high resolution obstacle detection of an autonomous mobile robot. It is assumed that a set of low directivity ultrasonic sensors of the same type are arranged along a circle of nonzero radius at a regular spacing with their beams overlapped. First, taking into account the dead angle region, the entire range of obstacle detection is determined with reference to the center of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring. Second, the optimal design index of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring is defined as the area closeness of three sensing subzones resulting from beam overlap. Third, the lower and upper bounds on the number of ultrasonic sensors are derived, which can guarantee minimal beam overlap and also avoid excessive beam overlap among adjacent ultrasonic sensors. Fourth, employing a commercial low directivity ultrasonic sensor, an optimal design example of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring is given along with the ultrasonic sensor ring prototype mounted on top of a mobile robot. Finally, some experimental results using our prototype ultrasonic sensor ring are given to demonstrate the validity and performance of an optimally overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring for high resolution obstacle detection.

음향 탐지 성능 분포도 기반에서 함정 최적탐색패턴에 관한 연구 (Optimal Search Pattern of Ships based on Performance Surface)

  • The goal of this study is simulation of optimal search pattern of ships based on performance surface which are reflected underwater environmental. The process is as follows. First, temporal and spatial environmental database are extracted in complex environment and input hull mounted SONAR system parameters. The environmental database and SONAR system parameters are substituted to SONAR equations, and calculate signal excess, detection probability, detection range. And then, the performance surface, which can be used to provide operational insight of SONAR detection performance, are pictorialized. Finally, optimal search pattern of ships are simulated using genetic algorithm based on performance surface. And then, we certify optimal search pattern in various ways.

  • In this paper, we consider the optimal control of detection threshold to minimize the conditional mean-square state estimation error for the probabilistic data association (PDA) filter. Earlier works on this problem involved the cumbersome graphical optimization algorithm or time-consuming numerical optimization algorithm. Using the numerical approximation of information reduction factor, we obtained the closed-form optimal detection threshold. This results are very useful for real-time implemenation.

  • This research paper is aimed at developing an optimal strategy for finding espionage ship sent from North Korea. The optimal strategy developed here handles detection rate and probability that the espionage ship is in a certain specific sea area. A detection model is developed and an application problem is illustrated.
