  • A new approach to die shape optimal design in bimetal extrusion of rods is presented. In this approach, the design problem is formulated as a constrained optimization problem incorporated with the finite element model, and optimization of the die shape is conducted on the basis of the design sensitivities.   • 다중 텍스쳐 영상으로부터 최적의 텍스쳐 특징을 생성하는 최적 필터 설계는 표면, 물체, 모양, 깊이 인식 등을 위한 텍스쳐 분석에 있어서 가장 성능이 뛰어난 기술 중의 하나이다. 그러나 대부분의 최적 필터설계는 많은 복잡한 계산량과 교사적 특성에 의해서 효율적인 텍스쳐 영역의 분할을 수행하지 못하는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다중 텍스쳐 영상에 내재하는 각 텍스쳐들의 공간 주파수 분석에 의한 효율적인 최적 가버필터 설계 방법을 제시한다. 설계된 최적 필터는 "Brodaz texture book"서 발췌한 다양한 형태의 다중 텍스쳐 영상을 생성하여 실험한 후 성공적인 결과를 보인다.

  • 본 연구에서는 설계프로그램의 공학적 분석의 수단 또는 가치공학 측면에서 원가절감 등의 목적으로 최적설계 이론과 공학적 이론을 접목시킨 최적설계법을 가스계 소화설비 중 청정소화약제 소화설비의 약제방출량 산출에 응용하였다. 청정소화약제 소화설비의 설계이론과 최적설계 이론을 바탕으로 약제방출량을 최적화시킬 수 있는 최적설계인자를 도출하였고, 이를 설계인자로 구축된 소화설비의 소화성능시험으로 최적설계법의 적합성 여부를 검증함으로써 다른 소화설비에도 최적설계법을 접목할 수 있는 기틀을 마련하였다. 방출헤드의 약제방출량 최적화는 방출헤드 및 배관의 내경, 약제도달시간, 유량과 압력변화 등의 소화약제 유동특성에 대한 제한조건에 의해 결정됨을 확인하였고, 방출헤드의 방출압력과 약제도달시간의 편차는 배관의 압력변화만큼 발생되고 상관관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

적용환경을 고려한 Flextensional 변환기의 최적구조 설계 (Optimal Structural Design of a Flextensional Transducer Considering the Working Environment)

  • The performance of an acoustic transducer is determined by the effects of many design variables, and mostly the influences of these design variables are not linearly independent of each other. To achieve the optimal performance of an acoustic transducer, we must consider the cross-coupled effects of the design variables. In this study, the variation of the performances of underwater acoustic transducer in relation to its structural variables was analyzed. In addition, the new optimal design scheme of an acoustic transducer that could reflect not only individual but also all the cross-coupled effects of multiple structural variables, and could determine the detailed geometry of the transducer with great efficiency and rapidity was developed. The validation of the new optimal design scheme was verified by applying the optimal structure design of a flextensional transducer which are the most common use for high power underwater acoustic transducer. With the finite element analysis(FEA), we analyzed the variation of the resonance frequency, sound pressure, and working depth of a flextensional transducer in relation to its design variables. Through statistical multiple regression analysis of the results, we derived functional forms of the resonance frequency, sound pressure, and working depth in terms of the design variables. By applying the constrained optimization technique, Sequential Quadratic Programming Method of Phenichny and Danilin(SQP-PD), to the derived function, we designed and verified the optimal structure of the Class IV flextensional transducer that could provide the highest sound pressure level and highest working depth at a given operation frequency of 1 kHz.

진입로 신호등 시스템을 위한 SDRE 기반 최적 비선형 관측기 제어기 설계 (SDRE Based Optimal Nonlinear Observer-Controller Design for Ramp Metering System)

  • In this paper, a near optimal decentralized observer-controller design method is proposed for ramp metering systems based on SDRE (State Dependent Riccati Equation) approach. The optimal nonlinear observer gain is parameterized in terms of the solution matrix of an SDRE. This paper gives a simple algorithm to compute the near optimal observer gain. The optimal control design problem is also considered. Finally, numerical simulation results are given to illuminate the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed design method.

MIRA Model 후미의 저저항 최적 설계 (Optimal Design for the Low Drag Tail Shape of the MIRA Model)

  • Drag reduction on vehicles are the main concern for the body shape designers in order to lower the fuel consumption rate and to aid the driving stability. The drag of bluff bodies like transportation vehicles is mostly pressure drag due to the flow separation, which can be minimized by controlling the location and size of the separation bubble. In the present study, the TURBO-3D code is incorporated with optimal algorithm based on analytical approximation method to obtain an optimal afterbody shape of the MIRA Model corresponding to the lowest drag coefficient. For this purpose three mutually independent afterbody angles are chosen as design variables, while the drag coefficient is chosen as an objective function. It is demonstrated in the present study that an optimal body shape having the lowest drag coefficient which is about 6% lower than that of the original shape has been successfully obtained within number of iterations of tile optimal design loop.

  • 지금까지의 단일 block size를 전제로 한 E-optimal block design들을 다수 block size로 확 장하는 문제를 종합 정리하고(Lee & Jacroux(1987) 참조), 이를 토대로 기존의 단일 block size를 갖는 block design의 table들을 이용하여 여러 block size의 종류들 중에서 우선 실용 도가 가장 높은 경우인 두 가지 상이한 block size를 갖는 새로운 E-optimal block design의 table을 제작하였음.

Combined Optimal Design of Robust Control System and Structure System for Truss Structure with Collocated Sensors and Actuators

  • A control-structure combined optimal design problem is discussed taking a 3-D truss structure as a design object. We use descriptor forms for a controlled object and a generalized plant because the structural parameters appear naturally in these farms. We consider not only minimum weight design problem for structure system, but also suppression problem of the effect of disturbances for control system as the purpose of the design. A numerical example shows the validity of combined optimal design of structure and control systems. We also consider the validity of sensor-actuator collocation for control system design in this paper.

  • This paper describes a new algorithm based on design sensitivity analysis for optimal shape design of electrostatic devices. The design sensitivity, the variation of the object function with respect to the design variables, is derived by using implicit differentiation and direct boundary element methods. The proposed algorithm is applied to the optimal shape design of a concentric cable and the rod electrode enclosed by earthed case, It is shown, from the numerical results, that the algorithm is very usefull for the optimal shape design of the electrostatic devices.

VSI EWMA 관리도의 경제적 통계적 설계 (An Economic Statistical Design of the EWMA Control Charts with Variable Sampling Interval)

  • Tris paper present an economic statistical design which have statistically constraints for the optimal design of an EWMA control charts with variable sampling interval. Cost function use that proposed by Lorenzen and Vance, and the optimal design parameters include the sample size, control limit width, sampling interval, EWMA weight value. Comparisons between VSI EWMA control charts optimal economic design and optimal economic statistical designs show the following fact. Although have demerits which are more costly than economic design, have merits which to detect shifts more efficiently and to improve statistical performance.
