  • The author tried to propose the orthographic and DTM (digital terrain model) creation and evaluate the accuracy for an university campus using UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) system. Most previous studies used GPS-based data, but in this paper, the observations of triangulation level measurements was used for comparison of accuracy. Accuracy analysis results showed that the operational requirements for aerial photographic standards are satisfied in all scenaries. The author confirmed availability in aviation photo measurements and applications using UAV (Drone). In order to create a sophisticated DTM and contour, we need to eliminate interference from building, trees, and artificial objects. The results of this study are expected to be used as the basis for future studies in the creation of DTM and the accuracy assessments using Drone.

  • Cogeneration systems are seen as a significant innovation for dispersed energy generation since they are both environmentally friendly and has comparatively high degrees of efficiency. It is especially suited for the decentralized provision of electricity and heat. However, it causes operational problems such as voltage regulation, voltage variation, protection and safety. Especially, it is expected that the interconnection/disconnection operation of cogeneration system has an effect on distribution voltage regulation and variation. Recently, with the increased use of customer-owned computers and other sensitive electronic equipment, electric power quality has become an important concerns. Therefore, the voltage quality problems with cogeneration system should be investigated because the voltage quality is an important part of electrical power quality. In this paper, the momentary voltage dips associated with the interconnection/disconnection operation of cogeneration system are analyzed, including restraint solutions at the customer level. In addition, the unit capacity of cogeneration systems per feeder are evaluated from the view point of momentary voltage variations. The results of this paper are useful analysis data for interconnection standards/guidelines of cogeneration systems and dispersed generation (DG)

  • When the pumps stopped in the operation by the power failure, the hydraulic transients take place in the sudden change of a velocity of pipe line. Each and every water hammer problem shows the critical stage to be greatly affected the facts of safety and reliability in case of power failure. The field tests of the water hammer executed at Cheong-Yang booster pump station having an air chamber. The effects were studied by both the practical experiments and the CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics : Surge 2008). The result states that the system with water hammering protection equipment was much safer when power failure happens. The following data by a computational fluid dynamic analysis are to be shown below, securing the system stability and integrity. (1) With water hammering protection equipment. (1) Change of pressure : Up to $15.5\;kg/cm^2$ in contrary to estimating $16.88\;kg/cm^2$. (2) Change rate of water level : 52~33% in contrary to estimating 55~27%. (3) Note that the operational pressure of pump runs approx. 145 m, lowering 155 m of the regularity head of pump. (4) Note that the cycle of water hammering delays from 80 second to 100 second, together with easing the function of air value at the pneumatic lines. (2) Change of pressure without water hammering protection equipment : Approximate $22.86\;kg/cm^2$. The comprehensive result says that the computational fluid dynamics analysis would match well with the practical field-test. It was able to predict Max. or Min. water hammering time in a piping system. This study aims effectively to alleviate water hammering in a pipe line to be installed with air chamber at the pumping station and results in making the stability of pump system in the end.

  • This paper deals with the measurement and analysis of the induced voltages and magnetic fields caused by the operation of home appliances. The induced voltage and magnetic field measurement circuit used in this work consists of the induction coil, the operational preamplifier and the active integrator. Television set and monitors for personal computer cause strong magnetic fields rich in harmonics and high induced voltages by using the switching power suppliers. The strong magnetic field intensity and high induced voltage were created by 14" television set, and their values are 2.1 [$\mu$Tp-p]and 140 [mVp-p]at the distance of 0.4 [m], respectively. However, the induced voltage per unit magnetic field intensity was created by 17" monitor for personal computer and the measured data was approximately 560[mV/$\mu$T]at the same distance. distance.

  • Purpose - This study aims to verify the direct causal relationship between cost competitiveness and global network competitiveness, which are the tangible service quality factors determined by the shipping company, which in turn affect the shipper's customer satisfaction. Additionally, we empirically investigate the intangible, related service qualities determined by shipping companies, such as operational competitiveness and customer relationship quality, and how these then positively affect customer satisfaction through the formation of trust. Therefore, we examine the mediating effect of trust formation among different contractors for shipping services. Design/methodology - In order to examine the shipping company's tangible and intangible service-qualities perceived by the shipper on customer satisfaction and the process of trust formation between contractors, we collected valid data from 114 respondents out of 200 distributed questionnaires. The respondents consisted of domestic freight forwarders who engage with domestic and international shipping and logistics agencies. Descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability, convergent and discriminant validities, common method bias, and PLS-SEM (partial least square-structural equation model) were analyzed using the program STATA 16. Findings - The findings of this study are as follows. First, our results showed that all hypotheses assumed in this study had statistically significant supporting evidence. Second, it was found that the mediating effect of trust was significant in affecting the quality of intangible service- qualities for customer satisfaction. Third, through supplementary analysis, we found that the global network competitiveness of domestic shipping companies will increase in importance in the future. In conclusion, the theoretical and practical implications of these findings are presented. Originality/value - This study reaffirmed the traditional causal relationship between customer satisfaction and tangible service quality. Additionally, we also contribute to the literature on the understanding of the causal relationship between trust formation and customer satisfaction through intangible interactions from a long-term perspective.

  • In this study, the microbial community succession and the protein hydrolysis of donkey meat during refrigerated (4℃) storage were investigated. 16S rDNA sequencing method was used to analyze the bacteria community structure and succession in the level of genome. Meanwhile, the volatile base nitrogen (TVB-N) was measured to evaluate the degradation level of protein. After sorting out the sequencing results, 1,274,604 clean data were obtained, which were clustered into 2,064 into operational taxonomic units (OTUs), annotated to 32 phyla and 527 genus. With the prolonging of storage time, the composition of microorganism changed greatly. At the same time, the diversity and richness of microorganism decreased and then increased. During the whole storage period, Proteobacteria was the dominant phyla, and the Photobacterium, Pseudompnas, and Acinetobacter were the dominant genus. According to correlation analysis, it was found that the abundance of these dominant bacteria was significantly positively correlated with the variation of TVB-N. And Pseudomonas might play an important role in the production of TVB-N during refrigerated storage of donkey meat. The predicted metabolic pathways, based on PICRUSt analysis, indicated that amino metabolism in refrigerated donkey meat was the main metabolic pathways. This study provides insight into the process involved in refrigerated donkey meat spoilage, which provides a foundation for the development of antibacterial preservative for donkey meat.

  • Bovine coronavirus (BCoV) is associated with severe diarrhea, dehydration, and depression, which result in significant economic damages in the dairy and beef cattle industries worldwide. However, differences in the gut microbiota structure and their correlations with differing physiological parameters between BCoV-infected calves with diarrhea and recovered calves are not well understood. In this study, fecal specimens were collected from 10 post-weaned calves, before and after 2 months of fluid therapy, and the samples were used for microbiota analysis. Following recovery, the alpha-diversity profiles (observed operational taxonomic units [OTUs], and Chao1, Shannon, and Simpson indices) changed significantly when compared with those of calves with diarrhea. Beta-diversity analysis exhibited significant differences in gut microbiota compositions between calves with diarrhea and those in the recovered state. The abundances of eight phyla and thirteen genera in feces changed markedly after restoration of BCoV diarrhea. In addition, our correlation study clearly revealed that increased abundances of the genera Caproiciproducens, Pseudoflavonifractor, and Oscillibacter negatively correlated with serum glucose, and phosphorus levels, but positively correlated with serum chloride in calves with diarrhea, whereas increased abundances of the genera Peptostreptococcaceae;Clostridium (Clostridium cluster XI), Intestinibacter, Cellulosilyticum, Ruminococcus, Romboutsia, Paeniclostridium, Clostridiaceae;Clostridium and Turicibacter in recovered calves showed the opposite pattern. These results suggest that structural changes of the gut microbiota after recovery from BCoV infection correlate with changes in physiological parameters. In conclusion, our data provide evidence of gut microbiota-composition changes and their correlations with the physical profiles of post-weaned calves, before and after fluid therapy for BCoV-related diarrhea.

  • The accumulated ice and snow during the operation of aircraft and railway vehicles can degrade aerodynamic performance or damage the major components of vehicles. Therefore, it is crucial to predict the temporal growth of ice for operational safety. Numerical simulation of ice is widely used owing to the fact that it is economically cheaper and free from similarity problems compared to experimental methods. However, numerical simulation of ice generally divides the analysis into multi-step and assumes the quasi-steady assumption that considers every time step as steady state. Although this method enables efficient analysis, it has a disadvantage in that it cannot track continuous ice evolution. The purpose of this study is to construct a surrogate model that can predict the temporal evolution of ice shape using reduced-order modeling. Reduced-order modeling technique was validated for various ice shape generated under 100 different icing conditions, and the effect of the number of training data and the icing conditions on the prediction error of model was analyzed.
