Life Cycle Cost 기법에 의한 RC Slab 교량의 절감비용 예측에 관한 연구 (A Case Study on the Reduction Costs Prediction of a Reinforced Concrete Bridge using LCC method)

  • 본 연구는 교량의 경제성 평가를 통해 교량 가설시 유용한 정보를 제공하기 위해, RC Slab교를 대상으로 유지관리수준에 따른 교량의 LCC를 예측하여 절감비용을 예측하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 수행 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. (1) 사례교량 LCC 분석 모델을 제안하였다. (2) 교량의 유지관리수준을 현행과 필요로 구분하고, 분석기간은 80년, 실질할인율은 4.5%로 가정하여 사례대상 교량에 대한 유지관리수준별 LCC를 예측하였다. (3) 사례교량의 LCC 예측결과를 통하여 절감비용을 예측하고 경제적인 절감효과를 파악하였다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of service (landfill) costs (hereinafter, the "landfill costs") applied to the dissolution promotion committee and analyze the characteristics of landfill costs at the time where the dissolution of promotion body is increasing with the authority of the head of local government regarding the territory difficult with the continuous promotion by delaying or suspending the project for a prolonged period or suspending the project through the dissolution of the project body by the promotion committee and cooperative union since the flawless promotion of the maintenance project. Method: After revising the law in February 2012, the survey and analysis is made for the status of applying landfill costs and maintenance project scale of the dissolution promotion committee not confirmed in details around a total of 20 regions, including, 9 regions of redevelopment projects completed with the advance review, 7 regions of re-construction projects and 4 regions of urban environment maintenance projects from the total of 59 regions, Result: The influence on the landfill costs is shown to be greatest in the service expenses and management and supervision on this field has significance for the maintenance project perceived as private project, rather than public project, that the public management is neglected with insufficient presentation of operation criteria and so forth that it displays the tendency to lead to the discrete operation of the project body. In order to enhance the transparency of operating costs for the projects that are led by private capital, it is required to strengthen the role of public sector through enthusiastic intervention by the public sector in standardization of operation criteria, presentation of guideline and so forth.

A Study on the Effective Management of Public Rental Housing Maintenance

  • Purpose: This study discusses efficient operation plans in terms of public rental housing maintenance in terms of LH, a major supplier. Research design, data, and methodology: After reviewing problems related to the maintenance and management of public rental housing discussed in several previous studies, problems in technology setting for repair maintenance costs for public rental housing, lack of public assistance for maintenance and management of public rental housing, management of housing funds, and lack of role of local governments in the supply and repair of public rental housing were derived. Based on this, the researcher conducted using literature research methods to present relevant improvement measures based on reasonable arguments. Results: this study presented four operational plans related to (1) realization of repair costs for public rental housing, (2) a public subsidy system for covering the maintenance costs for public rental housing, (3) efficient operation of the Housing City Fund, and (4) establishment of the public rental housing. This study aims to provide a foundation for the qualitative growth of the domestic public rental housing system. Conclusions: With this study, it is expected that social interest in maintenance of public rental housing centered on LH will be amplified to improve the quality of maintenance problems of public rental housing.

A Study on Life Cycle Cost on Railway Locomotive Systems

  • Life cycle cost analysis is compulsively required for the system operation. System operation costs are consisted of acquisition, operation, maintenance and so on. In the beginning of the system planning, we need to take into account of various costs following the system operating. To implement LCC, we need to analyze system life cycle to identify all costs during system life. The costs can be divided into three parts. The first part is purchasing cost, the second for operating cost and the last for disposal cost. The second operating cost can be decomposed of operating cost included labor, energy consumption cost for system running, maintenance costs to keep systems healthy, delay cost caused from maintenance and hazard cost, and so on. In this paper, we carried out for railway locomotives which operate over more 30years and which cost about 10 million USD. We decompose the life cycle of the locomotives and break down the locomotives into subsystems to require maintenance or not, and subsystems to need energy or not. We showed how to decide optimal locomotives through cost identification and system breakdown.

대학시설물의 유지보수 건수 및 비용 분석 (Maintenance Case and Cost Analysis for University Facilities)

  • Although the scale and number of university facilities have increased, the maintenance of these facilities has not been efficient as maintenance costs incurred during facility operation periods, as well as management time, have not been sufficiently considered. In this study, the maintenance record data of national universities was compared and analyzed to analyze factors that incur maintenance costs according to the uses and costs of the facilities. According to the results, the number of cases of maintenance and repair work for basic educational facilities was shown to be the largest, accounting for 79%. The number of maintenance and repair work occurred according to work type was examined. According to the results, the highest ratio of maintenance and repair work occurred in the field of construction, specifically, the maintenance costs required for facility supplementation accounted for the highest ratio. Maintenance costs per unit area decreased over time in the newer university facilities, while showing a tendency to increase in older university facilities. However, there were cases where maintenance costs did not show any trends due to factors such as the limited maintenance budgets owing to the characteristics of public service facilities and facilities in the stage of deterioration or destruction after the stage of stabilization. This study is considered to be helpful for efficient university facility maintenance plans and budget calculations.

해상풍력단지의 효율적인 유지보수를 위한 최적 비용 산출 연구 (Research on optimal cost calculation for efficient maintenance of offshore wind farms)

  • This paper aims to perform optimal operation and maintenance with an integrated monitoring system for offshore wind platforms. Based on the wind direction and wind speed data of existing wind farms, a monitoring system was established along with weather and weather data to maximize the operational efficiency of wind farms. Compared to wind power on land, offshore wind power is difficult to maintain due to weather, logistics and geographical limitations. Therefore, economic analysis of actual operation and maintenance is essential for large-scale offshore wind farms. In this paper, the availability of offshore wind farms was analyzed by using personnel resources, parts inventory, Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) and Specialized service Operation Vessel (SOV) etc. before the actual operation and maintenance of wind farms. A comparative analysis was conducted to determine the optimum operating efficiency and economical maintenance costs.

  • Advanced EMU have been enhanced in terms of safe transport and maintainability. It is a new urban railway technology that enables an operation institution to cut repair and maintenance costs and customers to use convenient service at lower costs based on IT technology. If a development vehicle of Advanced EMU is completed, it will be used to test the entire advanced EMU system through sufficient performance check and reliability check prior to operation in commercial line. It will also verify efficiency, safety, punctuality and energy efficiency of transport. Accordingly, it is necessary to figure how to repair and maintain vehicles to enhance safety of Advanced EMU system in cooperation with operation during the period of comprehensive evaluation on the operation of a development vehicle in a test line. In this paper, we investigated the maintenance program of Advanced EMU on test operation in Dabul line. The test condition and operation environment of Advanced EMU in Daebul line was analyzed.

LCS-P 개발을 위한 무기체계 운용유지비 산출 시뮬레이션 연구 (Simulation Study on the Calculation of Weapon System's Operating Maintenance Costs to develop LCS-P)

  • 최근 무기체계 연구개발은 획득비 중심의 종합군수지원 개념을 적용하던 시기에서 운용유지비를 포함한 총수명 주기관리 개념으로 확장 적용하고 있다. 운용유지비의 항목 및 산출식은 규정 등을 통해 정의하고 있지만, 이는 공학적 추정을 기초로 하여 실제 무기체계의 설계, 운용/정비 절차 특성을 깊이 있게 고려하지 못하고 있다. 그래서 본 연구는 이러한 부분을 보완하고 보다 정확한 운용유지비 산출을 위한 시뮬레이션 설계 방법을 제시한다. 연구 절차로는 다음과 같다. 먼저 운용유지비 항목 및 산출식을 시뮬레이션 결과를 적용 가능하도록 정의한다. 그리고 시뮬레이션 결과가 보다 현실성을 정확히 반영 가능하도록 시뮬레이션 설계 고려사항을 검토하여 개발한다. 이때 고려 사항은 무기체계 부품 목록, 운용 일정, 운용/정비/보급 시설 별 제원 정보 및 기초 비용 정보(인건비, 수리부속 / 지원 장비 구매 단가 등) 등이 있다. 이러한 연구는 기존 보다 쉽고, 정확한 운용유지비 산출에 효과가 있음을 기대한다.

  • Proper resource allocation is also a very important topic in power system problems, especially in operation and planning. One such is optimal maintenance problem in operation and planning. Least cost and highest reliability should be the subjects to be pursued. A probabilistic operation simulation model developed recently by authors is applied to the proboem of optimal maintenance scheduling. Three different methods are compared, marginal maintenance cost, levelized risk and maintenance space. The method by the marginal maintenance costs shows the least cost, the highest reliability and the highest maintenance outage rates. This latter characteristics may considerably influence the results of genetation planning, because the usual maintenance outages obtained from the other methods have shown to be lower.

Application of Particle Swarm Optimization to the Reliability Centered Maintenance Method for Transmission Systems

  • Electric power transmission utilities make an effort to maximize profit by reducing their electricity supply and operation costs while maintaining their reliability. The development of maintenance strategies for aged components is one of the more effective ways to achieve this goal. The reliability centered approach is a key method in providing optimal maintenance strategies. It considers the tradeoffs between the upfront maintenance costs and the potential costs incurred by reliability losses. This paper discusses the application of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique used to find the optimal maintenance strategy for a transmission component in order to achieve the minimum total expected cost composed of Generation Cost (GC), Maintenance Cost (MC), Repair Cost (RC) and Outage Cost (OC). Three components of a transmission system are considered: overhead lines, underground cables and insulators are considered. In regards to aged and aging component, a component state model that uses a modified Markov chain is proposed. A simulation has been performed on an IEEE 9-bus system. The results from this simulation are quite encouraging, and then the proposed approach will be useful in practical maintenance scheduling.
