  • For the commercialization of fuel cell powered vehicle, it is highly important to improve the performance and efficiency of an automotive polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) system. The performance and efficiency of PEMFC systems are significantly influenced by their operating conditions. Among these conditions, the system operating pressure is considered as the one of the main factors. In this study, to investigate the effects of operating pressure on the performance and efficiency of automotive PEMFC systems, two types of high-pressure operating PEMFC systems adopting two different compressors (i. e. different performance maps) are modeled by using MATLAB/Simulink environment. The PEMFC system efficiency and parasitic compressor power are mainly analyzed and compared for the two types of high-pressure operating PEMFC systems under the same system net power conditions. It is expected that this kind of study can contribute to provide basic insight into the operating strategies of high-pressure operating PEMFC systems for automotive use.

  • The proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell system consisting of stack and balance of plant (BOP) was modeled in a MATLAB/Simulink environment. High-pressure operating (compressor type) and low-pressure operating (air blower type) fuel cell systems were con­sidered. The effects of two main operating parameters (humidity and the pressure of the supplied gas) on the power distribution characteristics of BOP and the net system efficiency of the two systems mentioned above were compared and discussed. The simulation determines an optimum condition regarding parameters such as the cathode air pressure and the relative humidity for maximum net system efficiency for the operating fuel cell systems. This study contributes to get a basic insight into the fuel cell stack and BOP component sizing. Further research using muli­object variable optimization packages and the approach developed by this study can effectively contribute to an operating strategy for the practical use of fuel cell systems for vehicles.

치유적 환경의 관점에서 고령친화 커뮤니티 환경디자인의 평가체계 연구: 중국 고령자 중심으로 (Study on the Evaluation System of Environmental Design for an Age-Friendly Community from the Perspective of a Healing Environment: Focus on the Elderly in China)

  • 코로나-19 사태에서 60세 이상 노인들은 우울, 불안,공포 등 다양한 심리건강 문제가 생겼고, 커뮤니티는 노인 활동의 유일한 공간이 되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 이론적 고찰, FGI 인터뷰와 계층 분석법 AHP를 활용하여 치유적 고령친화 커뮤니티 환경디자인 평가체계를 제시하였다. 평가체계는 3차원 공간, 10개 상위 계층과 68개 하위 계층이다. 또한 전문가 설문조사와 SPSS 프로그램 분석를 통해 평가체계의 각 지표의 가중치를 배분하였다. 첫째, 물질 공간 환경디자인은 노인들의 일상생활에 대한 공용공간 활동시 쾌적성과 건강성을 충족시켜야 한다. 둘째, 사회적 공간환경 디자인은 노인들의 교류와 사회적 연계를 촉진한다는 취지로 디자인을 한다. 셋째, 운영 공간 환경디자인은 커뮤니티 운영회사의 운영체제를 중요하게 고려하고 있다. 이를 통해 노인의 주거환경 발전을 위한 체계적인 기술적 근거와 행동지침을 제공하여 고령자 심리의 건강 향상을 기대해 본다.

실차 운행정보를 활용한 온실가스 배출지표 분석 방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis Method of Emission Intensity of GHGs utilizing Real World Vehicle Driving Information)

  • In this study, the emission intensity calculation method of GHGs was developed by considering the characteristics of the models and time series. The telematics device was installed on the car (OBD-II) to collect information on the operation conditions from each sample vehicle of public authorities. Based on emission intensity of GHGs, it presented a methodology of quantitative comparison of GHGs emission by vehicles. Collected driving information of vehicle was used for operating characteristics analysis of the target vehicle, and it was confirmed different operating characteristics through comparison of the results and previous study. GHGs emission intensity were analyzed considering characteristics of vehicle type by passenger car, van, cargo, and considering characteristics of the time series by summer, winter, and intermediate. From the analysis result, it was calculated GHGs emission intensity based on mileage ($g\;CO_2\;eq./km$) and operating time ($g\;CO_2\;eq./sec$).

안전한 운영체제 접근제어 정책에 대한 보안성 및 성능 시험 (Test on the Security and Performance on the Basis of the Access Control Policy Implemented by Secure OS)

  • SecuROS(Secure & Reliable Operating System) 시스템은 FreeBSD 4.3 운영체제 커널에 접근 제어, 사용자 인증, 감사 추적, 암호화 파일 시스템, 신뢰 채널 등의 보안 기능을 추가 구현하여 시스템에 발생 가능한 해킹을 방지하고 차단하는 시스템을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 SecuROS의 핵심 기술 중에 하나인 접근제어 기법을 기술하고, 해당 접근제어 정책인 DAC, MAC, RBAC의 구현 내용을 소개하며, 접근제어 정책의 적용에 따른 보안성과 성능 시험을 위한 도구 및 방법을 나타낸다. 기존의 운영체제 환경과 새로운 접근제어 정책을 적용한 환경 사이의 보안성 및 성능의 상관 관계를 기술한다.

Experimental Study on Added Resistance of VLCC for Ship's Operating Condition in Waves

  • In this study, experiments were performed using a model of a very large crude oil carrier (VLCC), which is a typical blunt ship, in a wave-making towing tank. The aim of the experiments was to determine the effect of added resistance in waves on the various operating conditions of a VLCC. An analysis of the results was conducted to determine the characteristics of resistance performance in waves. In addition, the characteristics of added resistance on a tanker were analyzed under irregular waves based upon the above result. The experimental results showed that added resistance was the highest around ${\lambda}/L=1.0$, and the added resistance increased with the increase of the ship speed. Furthermore, under even keel conditions, the added resistance was higher than that under the trim changes, and the smallest added resistance was measured at the trim by the stern. Based on the experimental results, this study proposes effective operating conditions by analyzing the characteristics of the mean added resistance and the expected extreme response in irregular waves.

항공기 실측 진동 데이터를 이용한 환경시험 규격 생성 연구 (Development of Environmental Test Specifications for Aircraft Using Measured Vibration Data)

  • Developers generally use test standards suggested by military standards such as MIL-STD-810G when performing vibration tests in the materiel development. However, according to MIL-STD-810G, it is recommended to test by tailoring the test standard suitable for the developed materiel, and it is specified to apply the suggested test standard only when there is difficulty in tailoring. In addition, the test standards presented by MIL-STD-810G are standards created under operating conditions different from the actual operating environment of each developed materiel, so the test according to this standard may be excessive or understated. Therefore, the developer must create an appropriate vibration test standard for the developed materiel as similar to the operating conditions as possible. In this paper, the procedure for creating the functional test standard and durability test standard suitable for the operating environment of the equipment to be mounted on the propeller aircraft under development is described, and the created standard is introduced.

  • Many studies have been done on secure operating system using secure kernel that has various access control policies for system security. Secure kernel can protect user or system data from unauthorized and/or illegal accesses by applying various access control policies like DAC(Discretionary Access Control), MAC(Mandatory Access Control), RBAC(Role Based Access Control), and so on. But, even if secure operating system is running under various access control policies, network traffic among these secure operating systems can be captured and exposed easily by network monitoring tools like packet sniffer if there is no protection policy for network traffic among secure operating systems. For this reason, protection for data within network traffic is as important as protection for data within local system. In this paper, we propose a secure operating system trusted channel, SOSTC, as a prototype of a simple secure network protocol that can protect network traffic among secure operating systems and can transfer security information of the subject. It is significant that SOSTC can be used to extend a security range of secure operating system to the network environment.

수술실 간호사의 안전분위기와 피로 수준이 안전이행에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Safety Climate and Fatigue on Safety Performance of Operating Room Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the level of safety climate, fatigue, and safety performance and to identify the impact of safety climate and fatigue on the safety performance of operating room nurses. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey. Participants were 174 operating room nurses from two general hospitals and two university hospitals in S and D cities. Three structurally designed questionnaires were used to evaluate their safety climate, fatigue, and safety performance. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-tests, ANOVAs, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Safety performance of operating room nurses had a mean of 3.26 on a 5-point scale. 'Current department career'(${\beta}=.17$, p=.006) and 'safety climate (work-unit contribution) (${\beta}=.63$, p<.001) accounted for 39% of the variance in operating room nurses' safety performance. Conclusion: Findings indicate that work-unit contribution towards safety climate is an important factor in increasing operating room nurses' safety performance. Therefore, it is essential to find motivational properties consistent with the characteristics of the operating room environment.

고도폐수처리장에서 원생동물을 이용한 수질예측 (Protozoa as an Indicator of Effluent Quality at Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plants)

  • 고도폐수처리장의 원생동물의 분포를 주별로 조사하였다. 통계방법을 이용하여 원생동물의 개체수와 운영조건, 유출수질을 분석하였다. 유입수의 성상과 처리장의 운영조건에 영향을 받아 처리장별로 원생동물 분포가 다르게 나타났다. 통계분석을 통해, 원생동물의 분포로 현재 운영중인 처리장의 운영조건을 알 수 있고 가까운 미래의 유출수질을 예측할 수 있었다. 처리장의 원생동물 분포, 유출수질, 운영조건 자료들이 충분히 확보되면 원생동물 관찰에 의해 처리장의 운영현황 및 가까운 미래의 수질예측이 가능해진다. 수질예측이 가능함으로 운영조건을 조기변동 하여 처리수질을 양호하게 유지할 수 있다. 장기적으로는 가장 좋은 유출수질때 나타나는 원생동물의 분포를 얻을 수 있도록 처리장의 운영조건을 변경함으로 좋은 유출수질을 얻을 수 있다.
