  • A method for on-line tuning of the PID-controller parameters for a discrete-time multivariable process system is presented. And it is based on a step change in the controller set point. The system is presumed to be a linear, open loop stable and known one. The controller parameters are determined by the performance criterion and Fletcher-Powell methods.

  • In this study, a method of obtaining reasonably large and constant torque at high speed is given in order to improve the performance of the open loop controlled step motor system using the current source, thus resulting in high performance compared to the conventional current limiting using resistor and chopper.

A Study on Comparison of Open Application Programming Interface of Securities Companies Supporting Python

  • Securities and investment services had the most data per company on the average, and used the most data. Investors are increasingly demanding to invest through their own analysis methods. Therefore, securities and investment companies provide stock data to investors through open API. The data received using the open API is in text format. Python is effective and convenient for requesting and receiving text data. We investigate there are 22 major securities and investment companies in Korea and only 6 companies. Only Daishin Securities Co. supports Python officially. We compare how to receive stock data through open API using Python, and Python programming features. The open APIs for the study are Daishin Securities Co. and eBest Investment & Securities Co. Comparing the two APIs for receiving the current stock data, we find the main two differences are the login method and the method of sending and receiving data. As for the login method, CYBOS plus has login information, but xingAPI does not have. As for the method of sending and receiving data, Cybos Plus sends and receives data by calling the request method, and the reply method. xingAPI sends and receives data in the form of an event. Therefore, the number of xingAPI codes is more than that of CYBOS plus. And we find that CYBOS plus executes a loop statement by lists and tuple, dictionary, and CYBOS plus supports the basic commands provided by Python.

온도보상회로를 부착한 개방형 전류측정기의 특성 (Characteristics of Open-Loop Current Sensor with Temperature Compensation Circuit)

  • 개방형 전류측정기는 DC 모터 콘트롤러, AC 가변 콘트롤러, UPS(Uninterruptible Power System)에 주로 사용되며 최근 신재생 에너지의 성장과 전력망의 스마트 그리드화로 인하여 활용성이 점차 확대되고 있다. 이러한 신재생 에너지의 성장으로 관련 핵심기술의 보유여부가 중요해지고 있으며 대부분 수입에 의존하고 있는 개방형 전류측정기의 국산화 및 관련 기술의 확보를 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 일반 산업용 개방형 전류측정기의 제작과정과 특성을 측정한 결과를 기술하였다. 개방형 전류측정기를 구성하는 C형 철심의 공극자장분포 해석 및 형상 설계, 홀센서의 선정 및 특성시험, 정전류 전원공급회로와 신호처리회로의 회로설계 과정을 기술하며 DIP(Dual In-line Package) type과 SMD (Surface Mount Device) type의 100A급 개방형 전류측정기를 제작하고 특성을 측정했다. 제작된 전류측정기로 0~100A 범위에서 통전 실험을 실시한 했고 직류전류와 60Hz의 교류전류에서 특성을 측정한 결과 정밀도 오차 2% 이내, 선형도 오차 2% 이내의 성능을 만족하였다. 또한 부 특성 온도계수를 갖는 NTC(Negative Temperature Coefficient) 서미스터를 이용한 온도보상회로를 사용하여 $-35{\sim}100^{\circ}C$의 범위에서 온도보상 효과를 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 가시화가 가능한 상승부를 가진 개방된2상 자연순환 회로를 설치하여 각 운전 조건에 따른 순환 유동 특성을 살펴보았다. 즉, 가열량 증가에 따 른 상승부에서의 2상 유동 양식의 변화를 관찰하였고 동시에 가열기 입구 과냉 액체의 순환 유속 및 상승부의 기공률(void fraction)을 측정하였다. 또한 가열기 입구 및 출구에 설치된 밸브의 마찰저항, 가열기 입구 액체의 과냉 정도, 그리고 충전수위등이 전반적인 유동특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다.

Preisach 모델을 이용한 압전액츄에이터 이력 보상 (Hysteresis Compensation in Piezoceramic Actuators Through Preisach Model Inversion)

  • In precision positioning applications, such as scanning tunneling microscopy and diamond turning machines [1], it is often required that actuators have nanometer resolution in displacement, high stiffness, and fast frequency response. These requirements are met by the use of piezoceramic actuators. A major limitation of piezoceramic actuators, however, is their lack of accuracy due to hysteresis nonlinearity and drift. The maximum error due to hysteresis can be as much as 10-15% of the path covered if the actuators are run in an open-loop fashion. Hence, the accurate control of piezoceramic actuators requires a control strategy that incorporates some form of compensation for the hysteresis. One approach is to develop an accurate model of the hysteresis and the use the inverse as a compensator. The Preisach model has frequently been employed as a nonlinear model for representing the hysteresis, because it encompasses the basic features of the hysteresis phenomena in a conceptually simple and mathematically elegant way. In this paper, a new numerical inversion scheme of the Preisach model is developed with an aim of compensating hysteresis in piezoceramic actuators. The inversion scheme is implemented using the first-order reversal functions and is presented in a recursive form. The inverted model is then incorporated in an open-loop control strategy that regulates the piezoceramic actuator and compensates for hysteretic effects. Experimental results demonstrate satisfactory regulation of the position of the piezoceramic actuator to the desired trajectories.

Precise open-loop positioning using LPM with error correction

  • A precise open-loop positioning system using linear pulse motor has been developed. The system is operated in a microstepping mode by controlling the electric current. One step of 508 .mu.m (tooth pitch of the linear pulse motor) is divided into 508 micro-steps equally. The displacement is measured with a system using a Fiezeau-type interferometer. Periodical positioning error with a period of the tooth pitch was observed in this system. Therefore, the position is corrected using the error. The error is stored into computer in advance, and the microstep current is corrected on basis of the stored data. Although the positioning error of the system without the correction was .+-.4.5 .mu.m, that with the correction was decreased to .+-.1.0 .mu.m.

  • In this study, computer simulation and optimization works have been performed for an open-loop Rankine cycle to generate power using five cases of liquefied natural gas compositions. PRO/II with PROVISION V9.4 from Schneider electric company was used, and the Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation of the state model was utilized for the design of the power generation cycle. It was concluded that more power was obtained from less molecular weight liquefied natural gas since there was more volumetric flow rate with less molecular weight.

  • How to observe the atmosphere is a subject of atmospheric research. The meteorological satellites and the ground states are used to do observation. However, both ways do not satisfy the requirement of scientists, especially the profiles of atmosphere on the ocean and the data for global atmosphere. Radio occultation (RO) technique, which has been used in planet science, is a method to solve the problem. In RO technique, the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite receives the two frequency signal of Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite. The excess phase of the signal is calculated to retrieve the profiles of atmosphere parameters. In moist troposphere, the fluctuations appear in the phase of the signal and open loop (OL) is used to resolve it. The quality of the GPS signal generally deteriorates as the altitude decreases. In the procedure, the SNR of the GPS signal is used as the criterion. However, the SNR decreases with fluctuation which makes it difficult to locate the data of poor quality. In this paper, the phase of the signal will be used as part of the criterion.

Filtered Velocity Feedback 제어기를 이용한 평판 능동진동제어 (Active Vibration Control of Plates Using Filtered Velocity Feedback Controllers)

  • This paper reports a filtered velocity feedback(FVF) controller, which is an alternative to direct velocity feedback(DVFB) controller. The instability problems at high frequencies due to non-collocated sensor/actuator configuration with the DVFB can be alleviated by the proposed FVF controller. The FVF controller is designed to filter out the unstable high frequency response. The dynamics of a clamped plate under forces and moments and the FVF controllers are formulated. The stability of the control system and performance are investigated with the open loop transfer function(OLTF). It is found that the FVF controller has a higher gain margin than the corresponding DVFB controller owing to the rapid roll-off behavior at high frequencies. Although the gain margin cannot be fully utilized because of the enhancement at the high frequencies, the vibration at the modes lower than the tuning frequency is well controlled. This performance of the FVF controller is shown to be improved from that of the DVFB controller. It is, however, noted that the stability around the tuning frequency is very sensitive so that the enhancement in vibration level should be followed. The reduction performance at low frequencies using the FVF controller should be compromised with the enhancement in the vibration at high frequencies while designing the controller.
