  • Identification of systems operating in closed loop has long been of prime interest in industrial applications. The fundamental problem with closed-loop data is the correlation between the unmeasurable noise and the input. This is the reason why several methods that work in open loop fail when applied to closed-loop data. The prediction error based approaches to the closed-loop system are divided to direct method and indirect method. Both of direct and indirect methods are known to be applied to the closed-loop data without critical modification. But the direct method induces the bias error in the experimental frequency response function and this bias error may deteriorates the parameter estimation performance

  • A novel concept of feedback loop design for modal test and model updating is proposed. This method uses the closed -loop natural frequency information for parameter modification to overcome the problems associated with the conventional method employing the modal sensitivity matrix. To obtain new modal information from closed-loop system, controllers should be effective in changing modal data while guaranteeing the stability of closed-loop system. It is very hard to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system with non-collocated sensor and actuator set. Ill this research, we proposed a controller called mode-decoupling controller that can change a target mode as much as the designer wants guaranteeing the stability of closed-loop system. This controller can be computed just using measured open-loop modeshape matrix. A simulation based on time domain input/output data is performed to check the feasibility of proposed control method.

타원응답 개방 루프 공진기 필터의 소형화 및 설계 유연성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Miniaturization and Design Flexibility of an Elliptic-Response Open-Loop Resonator Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 개방 루프 공진기로 구현된 타원응답 필터의 소형화 및 결합행렬의 유사변환을 통한 설계의 유연성에 관해 연구하였다. 더불어 제안한 방법에 의하여 보다 큰 비대역폭을 갖는 필터를 제시하였다. 제안한 방법의 유효성을 확인하기 위해 개방 루프 공진기를 이용하여 중심 주파수(f$_{c}$) 2.0 GHz에서 0.04의 비대역폭(FBW)을 가지는 4차 타원응답 대역통과 필터를 설계하였다. 개방 루프 공진기의 혼합결합이 일어나는 부분의 선폭을 좁게 함으로써 구현된 두 개의 필터는 일정한 선폭을 가지는 공진기로 구현된 필터에 비해 각각 13%와 25%의 크기 감소 효과를 나타내었다. 또한, 요구되는 결합량을 만족시키기 위한 공진기 사이의 간격이 실현 불가능할 경우 결합행렬의 유사변환을 통하여 기존 구조와 동일한 특성을 나타내는 두 가지 다른 구조를 제시함으로써 필터 설계의 유연성을 보여주었으며 이로 인해 보다 큰 비대역폭(FBW=0.08)을 갖는 필터 설계가 가능함을 나타내었다.

모멘트쌍 액추에이터가 적용된 PPF에 의한 평판의 능동진동제어 (Positive Position Feedback Control of Plate Vibrations Using Moment Pair Actuators)

  • This paper reports the active vibration control of plates using a positive position feedback(PPF) controller with moment pair actuators. The equations of motion of the plates under a force and moment pairs are derived and the equations of PPF controllers are formulated. The numerical active control system is then achieved. The effect of the parameters - gain and damping ratio - of the PPF controllers on the open loop transfer function was investigated mainly in terms of the system stability. Increasing the gain of the PPF controller tuned at a mode, the magnitude of the open loop transfer function is increased at all frequencies without changing the phase behavior. The increase of the damping ratio of the PPF controller leads to decrease the magnitude of the open loop transfer function and to modify its phase characteristics, ie, system stability. Based on the behavior of the gain and the damping ratio of the controller, PPF controller for reduction of the plate vibration can be achieved. Two PPF controllers are designed with their connection in parallel to control the two modes simultaneously. Each PPF controller is tuned at the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ modes, respectively. Their parameters were determined to remain the system to be stable based on the results of the parametric study. A significant reduction in vibration at the tuned modes can be obtained.

결합 및 교차 선로를 갖는 마이크로스트립 개방루프 공진기를 이용한 협대역 대역통과 여파기 설계 (Design of a Narrow-Band Bandpass Filter Using Microstrip Open-Loop Resonators With Coupled and Crossing Lines)

  • 본 논문에서는 교차 및 결합 선로를 갖는 마이크로스트립 개방루프 공진기를 이용한 협대역 대역통과 여파기를 설계.제작하였다. 이 여파기는 크기가 작고 경량이며, 협대역 타원함수 대역통과 특성과 같은 우수한 특성을 가지고 있다. 여파기는 두 개의 동일한 마이크로스트립 개방루프 공진기와 교차 및 결합선로로 구성되어 있다. 개방루프 공진기를 사용함으로서 여파기 크기는 링 공진기와 비교하여 50% 정도가 축소된다. 교차선로는 억제대역에서 두 개의 노치를 제공하므로, 통과대역에서 예리한 선택도를 가진다. 중심주파수 2.455GHz로 설계된 마이크로스트립 대역통과 여파기는 1.22%의 대역폭을 가지며, 이는 무선LAN의 응용에 매우 적합하다. 여파기는 포토 에칭법으로 제작하였다 제작된 대역통과 여파기는 2.458GHz대에서 0.85%의 대역폭을 가지며 크기는 $2.6cm\times1cm$이다.

A Novel Fast Open-loop Phase Locking Scheme Based on Synchronous Reference Frame for Three-phase Non-ideal Power Grids

  • Rapid and accurate phase synchronization is critical for the reliable control of grid-tied inverters. However, the commonly used software phase-locked loop methods do not always satisfy the need for high-speed and accurate phase synchronization under severe grid imbalance conditions. To address this problem, this study develops a novel open-loop phase locking scheme based on a synchronous reference frame. The proposed scheme is characterized by remarkable response speed, high accuracy, and easy implementation. It comprises three functional cascaded blocks: fast orthogonal signal generation block, fast fundamental-frequency positive sequence component construction block, and fast phase calculation block. The developed virtual orthogonal signal generation method in the first block, which is characterized by noise immunity and high accuracy, can effectively avoid approximation errors and noise amplification in a wide range of sampling frequencies. In the second block, which is the foundation for achieving fast phase synchronization within 3 ms, the fundamental-frequency positive sequence components of unsymmetrical grid voltages can be achieved with the developed orthogonal signal construction strategy and the symmetrical component method. The real-time grid phase can be consequently obtained in the third block, which is free from self-tuning closed-loop control and thus improves the dynamic performance of the proposed scheme. The proposed scheme is adaptive to severe unsymmetrical grid voltages with sudden changes in magnitude, phase, and/or frequency. Moreover, this scheme is able to eliminate phase errors induced by harmonics and random noise. The validity and utility of the proposed scheme are verified by the experimental results.

토크 각도제어기법을 적용한 스테핑 전동기의 위치제어 (Position Control of Stepping Motor using Torque Angle Control Scheme)

  • 본 논문에서는 스테핑 전동기의 고속 위치제어기를 제안하였다. 제안된 위치제어기는 폐루프 및 오픈루프 제어모드를 모두 가지고 있으며, 위치 제어를 위해 직접 토크 각도를 제어하는 방식을 적용하였다. 제안된 스테핑 전동기의 위치제어기는 고속 운전상태에서 위치결정 오차를 감소시키기 위해 메모리에 속도에 따른 내장된 토크 각도와 PI 제어기를 통하여 토크각도를 결정하는 폐루프 제어모드로 동작한다. 제안된 폐루프 제어모드에서 메모리에 내장된 토크각도는 선행적으로 속도에 따른 전동기의 토크각도를 룩-업 테이블로 저장하여 제어량을 결정하게 되므로, 빠른 응답특성을 가지게 되며, 부하 및 관성에 따른 위치오차는 PI 제어기의 제어량에 의해 보상되어질 수 있다. 또한, 저속 운전상태와 정지상태에서는 3가지로 구분된 오픈루프 제어모드가 각각 잔여 위치오차를 보정하게 되며, 급속 정지상태에서의 다이나믹 브레이크 동작을 지원하게 된다. 제안된 위치제어기는 2상 스테핑 전동기의 실시험을 통하여 그 성능을 검증하였다.

Z-영역에서 설계된 입력성형필터의 민감도 해석 (Sensitivity Analysis of input shaping filter designed in the Z-domain)

  • To obtain high positioning auccuracy for a long, flex bleman Ipulator, residual vibration must be removed from the tip motion. But it is difficult to control the vibration of low frequency. There are open-loop and closed loop methods in the elimination of the residual vibration. We inroduce input shaping technique has been used as a simple open-loop method of controlling the residual vibration of a flexible manipulator. Design of input shaper in the continuous time domain is complicated. This paper presents a new technique that designs input shaper in the z-domain and analyzes input shaping method in the z-domain. This technique is simple and easy to design input shaper.

수분측정장치용 인덕턴스 부하 소형 개루우프 진행파 안테나의 특성 해석 (Analysis of inductance loaded small type open-loop travelling wave antenna for moisture mesurement systems)

  • In this paper, we proposed an inductance loaded small type open-loop travelling wave antenna model for the suitable VHF/UHF frequency bands moisture measurement systems and analyzed its operating characteristics by galerkin's solution method. This antenna model enables to change the oeprating rsonance frequency from the frequency range 150 Mhz to 1.0 Ghz without changing the antenna design dimensions by only varing the load inductance values and it showed the similar operating charcteristics and narrowband resonance characteristics at each resonance frequencies. Also this model showed the uniformly distriubte dpower radiation characteristics above the loop axis and it can effectively suppress the spurious radiations from its narrowband resonance characteristics.
