In this paper, the results of previous studies and surveys conducted in this study were compared and analyzed to find out how the actual condition of distance learning being conducted due to COVID-19 is changing. As a result, it was found that the'content-oriented class' is being used the most in the current online class, and teachers are spending a lot of time preparing for class. In addition, it was found that' providing appropriate contents as learning materials' is the first item to be supported for online classes. Therefore, in order to improve online classes in the future, it is needed that learning materials that can be used to create class content should be provided to teachers sufficiently. Also, IT equipment and network expansion and the training of teachers for distance learning should be provided.
This study is investigating the effectiveness of a blended learning for English listening and reading class by analyzing students' learning behavior. To this end, two surveys were conducted on a total of 75 students from the two different classes of Academic English Listening and Reading course. The research results showed that in the online class, the students built undesirable learning behavior such as solving listening quizzes by reading listening scripts or watching the instructor's lectures about the scripts and completing the assignment of summary of the scripts by referring to the Korean versions. In the offline class, the students' participation in group activities and attention to lectures was good. Therefore, it can be concluded that because of the students' poor online learning behavior, this blended learning was rather not effective. So the suggestions are discussed to enhance the effectiveness of the blended learning for English listening and reading.

In this paper, we surveyed students of M university in DaeJeon to analyze the satisfaction and fidelity to class. Based on survey data from 1,045 participants, we verified descriptive differences in satisfaction and perceived fidelity to class among the major, non-major and online classes. Also, we verified statistical differences in satisfaction and fidelity to class according to sex, academic year grade, attending college.
The purpose of this study is to provide implications for designing and implementing non-face-to-face online classes at the College of Engineering in the post-corona era by analyzing the instructors' evaluations and experiences of non-face-to-face online classes operated in the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the overall evaluation results of non-face-to-face online classes from instructors at the College of Engineering, 'instructional design' was the highest among the five areas including instructional design, learning management, learning support, learning evaluation, and instructional outcomes. In addition, the effectiveness of non-face-to-face online experimental or practical classes was found to be relatively low. The results of this study imply that the instructors need to consider several instructional strategies such as active interaction with learners, clear explanation, and the use of technology in non-face-to-face online engineering classes.
As a result, the interaction between personal motivation and class type is not significant. On the other hand, the interaction between social motivation and class type is significant and overall online class increases engagement with educational issues. In particular, the group with low social motivation showed greater change than the group with high social motivation, so online education seems to be more effective in the group with low social motivation. It means that by stimulating students' social motivation rather than personal motivation, the effectiveness of online education can be enhanced, and it can lead to education outcomes - behavioral changes and attitudes of learners. In order to revitalize social motivation in the intensely personal space of online, it is necessary to activate social communication methods such as SNS, and development of interpersonal issues and learning materials would be more efficient. In order to derive more specific results, it is necessary to measure the level of prior knowledge and involvement of the participants in class, and to comprehensively investigate and analyze the state of learners before and after class through more variables. Finally, in order to increase the reliability of the research results, it is necessary to clearly prove it through the establishment of a structural model.

The objectives of this study were to group female consumer types according to cosmetics benefits sought at online and off-line cosmetic shopping malls, and to investigate the differences in consumer values, cosmetic purchase behaviors, and demographic variables according to the consumer types. Subjects were 451 females residing in Seoul, of whom 212 were online shoppers and 239 were off-line shoppers. Five dimensions of cosmetics benefits sought were derived by factor analysis. These were functionality, economy, brand, fashion, and practicality. The female consumers were classified into four benefits sought types by cluster analysis of the five dimensions: T.1 'practicality sought type', T.2 'economy sought type', T.3 'brand function sought type', and T.4 'economic function sought type'. Economy sought consumers purchased cosmetics much more from online shopping malls than from off-line. The cosmetics expenses of practicality sought online consumers were low and many of them were in their 20's and middle-class. Economy sought online consumers preferred domestic brand, their cosmetics expenses were low, and many of them were career women. Practicality sought off-line consumers were high in independent value. Economy sought off-line consumers were low in independent value and social approval value, preferred domestic brand, and distributed more in college students than in career women. Brand function sought off-line consumers purchased cosmetics at department store and regarded social approval value as important. Economic function sought off-line consumers were distributed in middle-class and in diverse age range.
Typical anomaly detection algorithms are trained by using prior data. Thus the batch learning based algorithms cause inevitable performance degradation when characteristics of newly incoming normal data change over time. We propose an online anomaly detection algorithm which can consider the gradual characteristic changes of incoming normal data. The proposed algorithm based on one-class classification model includes both offline and online learning procedures. In offline learning procedure, the algorithm learns the prior data to be close to centroid of the latent space and then updates the centroid of the latent space incrementally by new incoming data. In the online learning, the algorithm continues learning by using the updated centroid. Through experiments using public underwater acoustic data, the proposed online anomaly detection algorithm takes only approximately 2 % additional learning time for the incremental centroid update and learning. Nevertheless, the proposed algorithm shows 19.10 % improvement in Area Under the receiver operating characteristic Curve (AUC) performance compared to the offline learning model when new incoming normal data comes.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an online education on death, 'successful life, and beautiful death' for university students and to evaluate students' changes regarding perception of self and death. Method: A quasi-experimental design was used with one experimental group pre-post test. Subjects were 154 students who enrolled for online education about death for 16 weeks. SPSS/WIN 12 was used for analyzing data. Result: The results of the study clearly indicated this class had positive effects on students' perception of death-related concepts, attitudes toward death, and self-concept, showing statistically significant higher scores in post-tests than in pre-tests. In addition, the result of class evaluations showed a positive response, Conclusion: Findings suggested that this online education about death was effective to change students' perceptions of death related knowledge, attitude toward death, and self-concept. Recommendations for further studies were provided.
Little has been known about the process of the language teacher professional development. The present study aims to investigate an assumption that anybody who has subject matter knowledge will be a good language teacher. A teacher with rich linguistic knowledge started to question the effectiveness of his online class. The teacher, in collaboration with a teacher trainer, became involved in the critical examination of his online class, seeking for more effective ways of teaching. The trainer provided the teacher with clinical supervision, which is characterized as developmental, collaborative, non-judgemental, interactive, and teacher-centered. The data collected at the multi-facets of the online teaching shows how the process of the teacher's decision-making became principled on the basis of recent developments in English language teaching, and how the teacher has gained pedagogical knowledge through reflection upon his teaching. The feedback from the students reveals that such teacher professional development is beneficial to student learning. These findings suggest that language teacher's professional development can take place when they are engaged in reflective teaching and classroom investigation. It is also suggested that the process of teacher development can be enhanced through collaborative supervision with trust, openness and congeniality between parties involved.
Purpose: To understand the students' level of recognition of online classes in the Department of Dental Technology and to provide the basic data for designing online classes based on the dental technology course. Methods: A survey was conducted among the students of the dental technology department. The collected data was analyzed with the SPSS ver. 25.0 program. To ensure a reliable verification, the α=0.05 significance level was used. The t-test and analysis of variance were also performed. Results: The students' level of recognition of online classes in the Department of Dental Technology is shown in the rate of recognition for video-based classes for both the theory and experiments. Students displayed high positivity with the video-based learning as it is repeated learning that is not affected by the limitations of time. In addition, video-based learning is highly beneficial in terms of convenience, satisfaction, and achievement for learning. Conclusion: Based on the results, video-based learning is a highly positive learning type for students. It was also recommended that the Department of Dental Technology should offer a post-COVID-19 online class to include the blended methods of a face-to-face class and video-based learning.
