Features of the Discussion Method in the Training of Students in the Context of Distance Learning

  • The article considers online discussion as an interactive learning method in the conditions of distance learning. The essence of discussion and the stages of its organization are described. The main objective of discussion in distance learning is defined as the stimulation of interest in learning and the involvement of various viewpoints in an active discussion of the stated problems. The key role in ensuring the efficiency of a discussion is identified. The article develops a model for organizing asynchronous online discussions on the Moodle platform, highlighting the sequence of stages and their content. An experimental study of the use of the discussion method in the training of students in distance learning conditions is carried out. Based on the results of the methodological experiment, conclusions are drawn about student interest in online discussions. The authors conclude that the interest of students of different specialties in asynchronous online discussions varies, and the greatest interest is demonstrated by linguistics students. Nevertheless, the differences in student interest in online discussions by groups (specialties) are more likely attributable to subjective factors, which do not affect the overall picture in a major way.

  • Airlines can employ a variety of quality monitoring procedures. In this study, we employ a content analysis of 8 years of online reviews for Korean airlines in contrast to other international airlines. Online airline reviews are infrequent, relative to the total number of passengers - the number of reviews is multiple orders of magnitude lower than passenger volumes - and online airline reviews are, therefore, not representative of passenger attitudes overall. Nevertheless, online reviews may be indicative of specific service issues, and draw attention to aspects that require further study by airline operators. Furthermore, significant words and phrases used in these airline reviews may help airline operators to rapidly automate filtering, partitioning, and analysis of incoming passenger comments via other channels, including email, social media posts, and call center transcripts. The current study provides insights into the contents of online reviews of Korean vs Other-International airlines, and opportunities for service enhancement. Further, we provide a set of marker words and phrases that may be helpful for management dashboards that require automated partitioning of passenger comments.

제조업체, 온라인 유통채널 및 오프라인 유통채널 간의 다자간 협상전략에 관한 연구 (Strategic Analysis of the Multilateral Bargaining among the Manufacturer, the Online and the Offline Distribution Channels)

  • In this paper, we study the bargaining strategy of a manufacturer who sells a product through the online and offline distribution channels. To do this, we derive and analyze the equilibrium solutions for both simultaneous and sequential bargaining games. The result shows that the optimal bargaining strategy heavily depends on the size of the online distribution channel's loyal customers and the difference between the retail prices of the online and the offline distribution channels. It is also shown that, in some cases, the online distribution channel has incentive to downsize its loyal customers and its retail price for a better bargaining outcome.

The Effectiveness of Language Learning Through Native English Teachers' Online Synchronous Class

  • The advancement of Internet technologies has provided a new and effective way to cultivate international talents. To investigate the effect of native English teachers' online synchronous classes on Chinese primary school students' oral English improvement, an 18-month quasi-experimental study was conducted on 300 primary school students in China. The experiment and control groups were provided biweekly synchronous online classes with native and non-native English teachers. SPSS was used to conduct Paired Sample T-Tests and analyze performance differentials. The results showed that online classes taught by native English teachers perform better than non-native English teachers in three areas: vocabulary accuracy, average sentence length, and phonological intonation.

Consumer Typology and Online Travel Websites: Heterogeneity between Taiwanese and Korean Young Adults Repurchasing Behavior

  • This research attempts to investigate differences in past experiences of using internet in repurchasing. In doing so, the authors identify online consumer characteristics, particularly one-time and repeat users comparison across geographical borders of Korean and Taiwanese teenage customers. Results show that there are significant differences in online shopping typologies between Korean and Taiwanese customers. While attitude serves as a distinguishing factor for both data sets along the other two dimensions, trust does not. Since researchers have focused on comparisons between Western cultures and Asian cultures' online purchase behavior or Internet use, the current study provides a valuable comparison for this niche population of young customers at least in a Korean-Taiwanese context. The authors also make a brief argument that these findings can influence marketing practitioners and site developers in their strategies.

온라인 맞춤 드레스셔츠 업체 현황조사 및 치수체계 분석 (Survey on the Brand of Online Custom Dress Shirts and Analysis of the Sizing System)

  • In this study, we surveyed the current status and sizing system of the custom dress shirts sold through online shopping, compared with the sizing system of the ready-made dress shirts. We tried to collect the information needed to make the well fitted dress shirts for middle-aged men from this study. The 17 online custom dress shirt brands were selected and the sales type, sales price, design options and size options of each brand were analyzed. The sizing systems of online custom dress shirt brands were compared with the sizing system of the 10 ready made dress shirt brands. The result showed that online custom dress shirts brands offered a variety of design options and size options to meet the consumers' individuality, taste and demand for good fit. In the ready-made brands, all 10 brands were using the same size notation system. In the same size designation, the difference in product size among the ready-made brands showed a tendency to be smaller than the online custom brands. The online custom brands had the different size notation system among brands. The size notation, the number of size designation and the size interval were different for each brand. Also, in the online custom brands, the product size among brands differed from each other in the same size designation. Therefore, the standardized size information and sizing system for middle-aged men that could be used as criteria when making the product size and pattern design in online custom brands were needed.

수출 중소기업의 온라인상거래 활성화를 위한 연구 (A Study on the Promotion of Online Commerce in Exporting SMEs)

  • 본 연구는 중소기업의 온라인마케팅 활성화요인을 도출하기 위하여 정부의 온라인 수출지원 사업 참여 경험이 있는 중소기업을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 필요한 요인을 도출하고자 한다. 연구결과 기업의 무역역량은 온라인 마케팅활용에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 기업의 내부역량은 온라인 마케팅활용에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 분석 되었고 수출마케팅 컨설턴트의 역할이 온라인마케팅 활용에 보다 중요한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 다음과 같이 중소기업의 온라인 수출 활성화 방안을 제시할 수 있다. 중소기업의 온라인마케팅활용을 위해 첫째, 중소기업의 무역역량 확대. 둘째, 사업수행 기업의 무역컨설팅 역량 확대가 필요하다. 특히, 참여기업 및 수행기업의 무역컨설턴트의 역량을 강화하는 것이 중소기업의 온라인마케팅 활용에 중요한 요소로 판단되며 이를 위한 기업과 정책적 노력이 더해져서 중소기업의 수출확대에 기여 할 수 있기를 기대한다.

온라인 교양 수업에 대한 대학 교원의 인식 (A Study on Instructors' Perspective of Online General Education Classes - Focusing on the Case of C University)

  • 본 연구는 코로나19 이후 불가피하게 진행된 온라인 교양 수업에 대한 교수자의 만족도를 조사, 분석하여 교수자가 인식하는 온라인 교양 수업의 효과성을 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위해 경상남도 C대학의 교양대학에서 2021학년도 1학기 말에 실시한 수업 만족도에 관한 설문조사에 응답한 54명의 교수자를 대상으로 온라인 교양 수업의 전체적인 만족도와 이에 영향을 미칠 만한 변인들에 관해 연구하였다. 그 결과, 교수자는 온라인 교양 수업에 대해 전반적으로 부정적 인식을 갖고 있었다. 전체 만족도와 학습자와의 상호작용 변인에서는 각각 2.80, 2.87의 낮은 만족도를 보였으며, 그 외 요인들에 대해서는 전체 만족도보다 높은 만족도를 보였다. 또한 전체 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 수업에 사용된 플랫폼에 관한 만족도였으며, 통계적으로도 유의미했다. 따라서 교수자의 온라인 교양 수업 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변수인 플랫폼에 교수자는 익숙해질 필요가 있으며, 이를 위해 대학에서는 교수자를 위한 사전 교육이 이루어질 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 일개 대학의 교수자를 대상으로 연구가 진행되었다는 점과 한정된 변수만을 측정하였다는 데에 한계가 있다.

남성소비자의 의복소비가치가 온라인 패션 편집매장의 특성 지각과 이용의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Male Consumer Clothing Consumption Values on the Perceived Attributes of Online Fashion Multi-brand Store and Use Intention)

  • This study sought to understand the clothing consumption values of male consumers and analyze the attributes of online fashion multi-brand stores. The study examined the effect of clothing consumption values of male consumers on the perceived attributes of online fashion multi-brand stores and use intention. The study also aimed to investigate whether online information search moderated the relationship between the perceived attributes of online fashion multi-brand stores and use intention. An online survey of male consumers in their 20s and 30s was conducted, and a total of 338 responses were analyzed. The SPSS 24.0 program was used to perform frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and stepwise-regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, fashionableness out of the four attributes of online fashion multi-brand stores (fashionableness, entertainment, variety, and scarcity) influenced the practical and conspicuous values of clothing consumption values. Entertainment had a significant effect on all clothing consumption values. Variety had a significant impact on practical and conspicuous values and the scarcity factor influenced epistemic and conspicuous values. Second, while entertainment, variety, and scarcity influenced sharing intention, fashion, entertainment, and variety influenced purchase intention. Third, online information search moderated the relationship between the perceived attributes of online fashion multi-brand stores and sharing intention but not purchase intention.

A Study on the Perception of Foreign Undergraduates on Online Lecture

  • 본 연구는 외국인 학습자들이 경험한 비대면 온라인 학부 강의에 대한 인식을 분석하여 온라인 강의의 문제점을 파악하고 개선안을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 A 대학과 B 대학에서 온라인 강의를 수강한 외국인 학부생들을 대상으로 온라인 강의에 대한 인식을 조사하여 분석하였다. 이를 통해 앞으로 한국 대학에서 진행될 온라인 강의의 설계 방향과 보완책, 그리고 나아갈 방향 등을 탐색해 보았다. 본 연구의 결과, E 캠퍼스를 통한 비실시간 강의는 강의를 반복해서 학습할 수 있고 집에서 강의를 들을 수 있는 점을 장점으로 인식하고 있었다. Zoom을 활용한 실시간 강의는 교수-학습자간 소통이 가능함을 장점으로 인식하고 있었다. 두 가지 유형의 강의 모두 과제가 많고 강의가 끝날 때까지 지속적으로 집중하기 어려움을 단점으로 인식하고 있었다. 또한 앞으로의 고려할 점으로 강의 내용의 양과 과제의 양, 그리고 강의 영상의 음질과 상태임을 알수 있었다. 평가 방식으로는 오프라인 평가보다는 온라인 평가를 선호하였으며 절대 평가보다는 상대 평가를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과가 각 대학의 온라인 강의의 설계 방향과 온라인 콘텐츠 개발에 작은 보탬이 되기를 바란다.
