  • In this work we study the local and semilocal convergence of the relaxed Newton's method, that is Newton's method with a relaxation parameter 0 < ${\lambda}$ < 2. We give a Kantorovich-like theorem that can be applied for operators defined between two Banach spaces. In fact, we obtain the recurrent sequence that majorizes the one given by the method and we characterize its convergence by a result that involves the relaxation parameter ${\lambda}$. We use a new technique that allows us on the one hand to generalize and on the other hand to extend the applicability of the result given initially by Kantorovich for ${\lambda}=1$.

  • The use of a smartphone with one hand has been getting difficult as the size of the smartphone display gets larger. In addition, people handicapped or using one hand for handling other pieces may encounter difficulties to touch exact numbers for calling with their smartphones. Thus, motion-tracked speed dialing can be a good solution for these cases and also an advanced feature applicable in the future network not requiring dedicated Internet connections. The previous study on this feature showed a result with a limitation of using servers connected via Internet connections for solving real-time control issues. Therefore, this paper proposes a scheme for the smartphone dialing on motion-tracked numbers without any servers or Internet connections, and presents the details of its implementation and results.

  • Today, in the course of globalization and crisis, the world needs the new ideas, new variants and ways of development of civilizations. Due to this, the author has developed and introduced own research (know-how) without world's analogue. The main purpose of this research is to transfer Turkestan in the spiritual center (mega polis) of the international level. For the first time in history, as an example of one region, two large cardinal problems had been connected, i.e. on the one hand spiritual and cultural development of the society, on the other hand new 6th technological way to show to the world opportunity of Kazakhstan new model of spiritual-innovative development. After realization of this research the status of Kazakhstan will strengthen at international level. This workout is devoted to all people, especially to the youth - as future of our country.

  • Recently, smart lighting systems are the combination between sensors and lights. These systems turn on/off and adjust the brightness of lights based on the motion of object and the brightness of environment. These systems are often applied in places such as buildings, rooms, garages and parking lot. However, these lighting systems are controlled by lighting sensors, motion sensors based on illumination environment and motion detection. In this paper, we propose an automatic lighting control system using one single camera for buildings, rooms and garages. The proposed system is one integration the results of digital image processing as motion detection, hand gesture detection to control and dim the lighting system. The experimental results showed that the proposed system work very well and could consider to apply for automatic lighting spaces.

  • As the significance of quality in the sense of customer satisfaction is growing, the management of quality becomes one of the main interests in the manufacturing systems research systems research. This paper presents the concept of quality-oriented manufacturing system which is composed of a business process domain and a quality domain. In the business process domain, business functions are integrated by traditional design and manufacturing databases on the one hand, and a quality management system is interlinked to them via several quality modules on the other hand. Quality information model connects the business process dimain with the qualitydomain where various types of qualitydata are stored in the form of quality database. This framework helps a manufacturing enterprise to implement the quality-oriented manufacturing system to achieve its final objective "customer satisfaction."ion."quot;

  • This paper is intended as a study on how an utterance is divided into rhythmic units in Standard Korean with respect to its syntactic structure. With respect to the data in this study I used 150 sentences which contained similar number of words and various syntactic structures. Those sentences were read by 7 speakers of Seoul dialect in a conversation style. Each sentence was read twice in a normal speed and twice in a fast speed. As a total, 4200 sentences were recorded. Then listening to them, the author marked the sentences with two kinds of boundaries i.e. strong and weak. To explore the relationship between rhythmic units and syntactic structure I devised a framework of grammatical symbols. Each symbol is designed to have both syntactic and morphological information at the same time. So I assigned those grammatical symbols to the sentences. Having sentences marked with grammatical symbols on the one hand, and with the rhythmic boundaries on the other hand, 1 could show the relationship between rhythmic units and syntactic structure; which syntactic structures are likely to be pronounced as one rhythmic unit, and which are on the rhythmic boundaries.

  • In this paper we discuss the contrastive nature of formalism and functionalism in linguistics. Though the mainstreams of linguistic analysis have been focused on the form and function, they have been challenged from each other's strong points. On the one hand, the formal description has been studied in the tradition of generative grammar. On the other hand, the functional nature has played a crucial role in the framework of language use. It seems undesirable to argue that there is one-sided bias toward any type of linguistic approach. I try to present a balanced view of these two contrastive approaches. We also argue that there should be a cooperative work in developing the mutual growth of linguistic theory.

  • Optical resolution of aminoalcohols had been achived efficiently by use of (R)-2,2'-dihydroxy-l,1'-binaphtholphosphoric acid as the resolving agent in various organic solvents. Racemic aminoalcohols were resolved very easily and high enantiomer yield (about 70% e,e) in THF. On the other hand, absolute configuration of resolved aminoalcohol was (R)-configuration but one of the Valinnol and Phhenylglycinol was anti-type because of sterichindrance.Optical resolution of aminoalcohols had been achived efficiently by use of (R)-2,2'-dihydroxy-1,1'-binaphtholphosphoric acid as the resolving agent in various organic solvents. • The present research measured interkey times in typewriting according to the mumber of consonants and vowels within words of the Korean alphabet. And another purpose of this study was to investigate whether the perception of syllable and final consonant, and one hand repetition can influence the interkey times in typewriting or not. The procedure of experiment was that subjects typed works according to the conditions. And we analyzed interkey times of each words. The results has shown that the perception of syllable and final consonant, and one hand repetition influenced the interkey times in typewriting.

  • We introduce an iteration scheme for approximating common fixed points of two mappings. On one hand, it extends a scheme due to Agarwal et al. [2] to the case of two mappings while on the other hand, it is faster than both the Ishikawa type scheme and the one studied by Yao and Chen [18] for the purpose in some sense. Using this scheme, we prove some weak and strong convergence results for approximating common fixed points of two nonexpansive self mappings. We also outline the proofs of these results to the case of nonexpansive nonself mappings.
