근래 전 세계적으로 스마트 폰의 수요가 급증하면서 기존의 3G 표준에 비해 높은 데이터 전송률을 제공하는 long term evolution (LTE) 서비스가 활발히 보급되고 있다. 특히, 이동통신 강국인 우리나라는 LTE의 최신 릴리즈인 LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) 서비스를 최근 시작하였다. 높은 데이터 전송률을 얻기 위한 LTE와 LTE-A 시스템의 핵심기술로 다중입출력 안테나 (multiple-input-multiple-output; MIMO)기술을 들 수 있다. MIMO 기술은 주파수와 전력의 증가 없이 안테나 수에 비례하는 채널용량을 얻을 수 있는 장점으로 큰 주목을 받아왔으며 다양한 측면에서 진화 발전이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 단일사용자 MIMO에서 다중사용자 MIMO, 그리고 최근 주목받고 있는 대용량 MIMO까지 MIMO기술의 이론적 배경 및 시스템을 구현하기 위해 필요한 고려사항들을 살펴본다.

A framework for structural health monitoring (SHM) systems is presented utilizing a recent 3.5 generation mobile telecommunication technology, HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access). It may be effectively applied to monitoring bridges, cut-slopes, and other facilities located in rural areas where the conventional Internet service is not readily available, since HSDPA is currently commercialized in 86 countries to make the Internet access possible in anywhere the mobile phone service is available. The proposed SHM framework is also incorporating remote desktop software to have remote control/operation of the SHM systems. The feasibility of the proposed framework has been demonstrated by field tests on a highway bridge in operation. One can expect that fast advances in the mobile telecommunication technology will further enhance the performance of the SHM network using the proposed framework for bridges and other facilities located in remote areas without the conventional wired Internet service.

최근 이동통신기술의 급속한 발달과 보급으로 LTE(Long Term Evolution) 기술은 스마트폰 서비스를 넘어 산업통신이나 긴급통신을 비롯하여 다양한 분야로 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 LTE 기술의 응용 분야로서 LTE-R을 기반으로 하는 철도통신의 서비스 분야 가운데 하나인 음성서비스의 전송성능을 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 LTE-R 네트워크의 응용서비스 관점에서 성능을 분석하여 응용서비스가 사용자 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본다. 분석방법으로는 NS(Network Simulator)-3에 기반한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 사용하며 분석대상 트래픽으로는 VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) 규격 음성트래픽을 사용한다. 본 연구의 결과는 LTE-R 네트워크 구축뿐 아니라 LTE-R 네트워크를 대상으로 하는 응용서비스 개발에 활용이 가능하다. 다음은 요약문 입니다.

Purpose: The rapid change to an aging society generates an increase in the incidence of chronic diseases. Many chronic patients have been facing their illnesses without enough preparation. In order to solve these problems, we designed and tested a public healthcare service based on ubiquitous technology. Method: Telemedicine has emerged as new medical care system of chronic disease. However, public potential of its technology is difficult to know under current traditional health care system. In this work, we developed a Personal Digital Access (PDA) phone based healthcare system by trained visiting nurses for elderly patients. A field test was performed by SeongBuk Public Health Center in Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK). Result: Surveys were generated to assess the effects of this system compared to conventional public health system. Findings of trials demonstrate that healthcare coordination enhanced by PDA phone technology is satisfactory to the patients and nurses compared to previous one because prompt responses arouse their recognition of health. Conclusion: Ubiquitous healthcare system applied to public health service proved to be efficient and time-saving to monitor and control the chronic illnesses of large population.

스마트융합 환경속에서 스마트폰 등의 기기들을 이용한 전자결제서비스가 크게 늘어나게 될 전망이다. 과거 전통적인 전자상거래 방식에서 진일보된 모바일 전자결제 문화가 정착되도록 하는 노력이 필요하다. 비 금융기관들의 진출에 따른 금융기관과의 주도권 갈등 문제를 해결하기 위해 모바일 지급결제 인프라를 표준화하는 노력이 필요하며 NFC 기술 기반의 스마트폰을 통한 거래 증가에 대비한 국내외적 전략이 필요하다. 다양한 유형의 사업자들이 전자상거래 분야로 진출함에 따라 소비자 불만 해소 노력이 중요하며 개방형 운영체제로 전환되는 과정에서의 보안 문제 또한 중요 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내외 현황을 조사하고 한국이 처하고 있는 문제점을 분석해내고 그에 대한 정책 대응 방안을 제시하였다. 정부의 전자상거래 정책 마련에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

의사소통은 인간이 사회와 소통하기 위한 필수 요소이다. 이러한 의사소통의 장애가 있는 사람들에게는 사회 참여와 다른 사람과의 원활한 의사소통을 위해서 보완 대체 의사소통 중재가 필요하다. 또한 정보화 시대에 와서는 의사소통뿐만이 아니라 정보접근기술도 사회 참여와 사람들 간의 상호작용에 큰 영향을 미친다. 정보접근에 어려움을 가지는 장애인에게는 추가적인 기기의 구입이나 다른 기술의 습득 없이 정보접근을 도와줄 수 있는 스마트폰이 장애인의 정보접근을 도와줄 수 있는 효과적인 방안이 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 현재 국내에 많이 보급되고 있는 스마트 폰이나 테블릿 PC에 설치하여 사용할 수 있는 보완 대체 의사소통 시스템을 제작하여 장애인들의 의사소통과 정보접근을 도와주며, 기기의 SMS서비스를 이용하여 원거리에서 장애인이 개호자나 다른 사람에게 메시지를 전송하여 개호자의 생활 영역 확대와 장애인의 사회적 고립감 해소에 도움을 주고자 한다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of an educational intervention that used both cellular phones and the Internet to provide a short messaging service (SMS) relating to blood glucose, blood pressure, and serum lipid levels in postmenopausal women with impaired fasting glucose (IFG). Methods: Twenty-eight postmenopausal women were assigned to an intervention group and twenty-one postmenopausal women to a control group. The intervention was provided for 12 weeks. Patients in the intervention group were asked to access a web site by using a cellular phone or to use the Internet directly and input their blood glucose and blood pressure levels weekly. Participants were sent the optimal recommendations weekly by both cellular phone and Internet. Results: The intervention group had a mean decrease in systolic blood pressure (SBP) level of 8.1 mmHg but changes for the control group were not significant. There was a significant mean change in diastolic blood pressure (DBP) level for the intervention group (-7.7 mmHg). The mean change in the control group was not significant. Conclusion: This educational intervention using the Internet and a SMS by cellular phone improved levels of SBP and DBP in postmenopausal women with IFG.

국내에 출시된 터치스크린 폰에서 기존 평면 UI와 달리 큐브형태의 3차원 입체그래픽을 제공하는 3D UI가 적용됐다. 본 연구는 두 개의 다른 기업의 브랜드가 3D GUI에 대한 사용자 개개인의 개별적이고 차별화 된 사용자 경험에 영향을 미치는가를 연구해보고자 한다. 이러한 관점에서 개별적이고 차별화된 브랜드가 사용자 경험과 밀접한 상관관계가 있다는 가설을 만들고 연구모형을 설계하였다. 현재까지 발표된 3D GUI 사례를 중심으로 브랜드 공개와 비공개로 사용자 경험 만족도를 측정하였고, 만족도의 차이가 있음을 명확히 알 수 있었다. 브랜드 공개시 응답자는 자신의 기능선택에 대해 논리적인 이성은 뒤로하고 브랜드에 집중하는 반응을 보였다. 이 연구를 통해 기업체들이 경쟁적으로 출시한 3D GUI를 사용함에 있어 브랜드가 사용자 경험의 중요한 요소임을 확인하였다. 따라서 디자이너들은 제품이나 서비스가 만들어지는 과정에서 브랜드가 디자인의 핵심부분으로써 전략이 필요함을 시사한다.

MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc Network)은 단말기만으로 구성되는 임시통신망으로서 설치 운영이 수월한 구조적 장점과 스마트폰의 급속한 보급이라는 환경적 변화로 인하여 기반구조의 사용이 어려운 긴급통신, 레저, 탐험/탐사와 같은 응용 분야에서 그 사용이 급속하게 늘어날 것으로 예측된다. 그러나 통신기반 구조를 사용하지 않은 MANET의 특성은 최근 들어 빈번하게 발생되고 있는 해킹과 같은 정보침해에 매우 취약한 단점을 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 MANET에서 정보침해 대응 방안의 하나인 IDS(Intrusion Detection System)가 MANET의 전송성능에 미치는 영향을 분석해본다. 본 논문에서는 MANET에 대한 침해 유형으로 블랙홀(blackhole) 공격을 가정하고, 블랙홀 공격이 있을 경우 MANET 노드가 IDS를 사용하여 블랙홀 공격에 대응하도록 환경을 설정하였으며, 이를 NS-2를 이용한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 구현하고 전송 트래픽의 성능을 측정하였다. 본 논문에서는 IDS가 이용자 수준의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해서 응용 서비스 수준의 전송 성능을 측정하였으며, 대상 응용 서비스로는 VoIP를 가정하였다.

Recent trends of mobile convergence has already brought about many changes in our digitally-powered society. Especially, taking advantage of strengths of existing mobile devices and smart phones have already been established as a primary standard in the business intelligence world. Such high-powered digital devices equipped with mobile convergence functions are getting more momentum as app stores are prevailing. Basically, the app stores are administered by smart phone manufacturers, creating a new business ecosystem among app developers and end-users. However, there are paucity of studies tackling an issue about how users' repurchase intention of the apps is influenced by the service qualities of the app stores. In this respect, this study aims to investigate the effect of app store service quality on users' satisfaction and repurchase intention. As the value of loyal customers is incomparably high in app commerce, winning customers' loyalty is vital to the success of app stores. In this study, a customer is defined as one who has purchased goods or services at least once from the app stores. The proposed research model includes a number of constructs such as app perceptions, customer service, perceived ease of use, design, promotion, perceived consumer risk and connectivity. Empirical results revealed that perceived consumer risk has a negative relationship with consumer's perceived repurchase intention. All the other variables-app perceptions, customer service, perceived ease of use, design, promotion, connectivity- are found to be positively related with the repurchase intentions.
