국제 스포츠 행사를 위한 영어교육 방안 (English Education for International Sports Events)

  • 본 연구는 (1) 2018 평창 동계 올림픽 영어 교육 준비 실태를 파악하고 (2) 영어 교육 활성화를 위한 영어 교육 프로그램에 대한 요구를 파악하여, 국제 스포츠행사를 위한 효과적인 영어교육 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 국제스포츠 행사 교육 관리 관계자와 전화 인터뷰를 하거나 자료를 제공받았고 그 결과, 조직위에서는 2018 평창동계올림픽대회 관계자 영어 교육 프로그램을 진행 중이며, 강릉시에서는 글로벌리더나 통역봉사단 등을 대상으로 하는 교육과 일반 시민을 대상으로 하는 교육으로 나누어 언어 교육을 진행하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 강릉시 글로벌리더 양성과정에 참여하고 있는 학습자들과 최근 국제 스포츠 행사에 자원봉사자로 참여한 26명을 대상으로 국제 스포츠 행사 영어 교육을 위한 설문을 한 결과, 국제 스포츠 행사와 관련된 내용을 가르치는 영어교육 수업이나 이에 가장 적합한 수업 방법에 대한 요구가 크다는 것을 알 수 있었다, 따라서 본 연구에서는 영어 잘하는 사람들을 최대한 잘 활용하기 위해 DB구축을 체계적으로 잘하고, 이들이 선발된 이후에는 단기간 동안 본인이 맡은 봉사 직무에 바로 활용할 수 있는 영어교육을 제공받을 수 있도록 해야 할 것이며, 이를 위해서는 이에 적합한 교수법과 교수 내용을 개발할 필요가 있다고 제언한다.

2021년도 도쿄올림픽 대비 세계 상위권 여자핸드볼 전력분석 (Analysis of Handball Strategies of World Top Class Team to Prepare Tokyo2021 Olympic games)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 2019년 세계여자핸드볼선수권대회에서 상위 6개 국가에 대한 전력분석으로 주요득점 경로와 슈팅 유형별 성공률, 어시스트 빈도, 스틸, 블록, 슈팅 유형별 골키퍼 방어율에 대한 정보를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 득점 경로 분석결과, 대회 1위 네덜란드와 2위 스페인은 6m슛과 7m슛이 가장 많았으며, 3, 4, 5, 6위에서도 6m슛이 가장 많이 나타났다. 둘째, 슈팅 유형별 성공률 분석결과에서는 상위 6팀 모두 7m슛, 돌파슛, 속공슛 등으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어시스트 빈도분석 결과 기록에 의하면 대회 4위의 노르웨이가 6팀 중 가장 많은 어시스트를 기록했다. 넷째, 스틸 빈도분석 결과 6개 팀 중 노르웨이는 평균 5.2회로 가장 많은 스틸을 기록하였다. 다섯째, 슈팅 유형별 골키퍼 방어율을 분석한 결과 6팀 골키퍼 모두가 9m 슈팅에 대한 방어율이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 심층적인 경기전략분석을 위해서는 선수 개인 경기력에 대한 특성파악 및 정보 수집을 통하여 향후 후속연구로 진행될 필요가 있다고 생각된다.

체육행정가의 서번트 리더십이 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Servant Leadership of Sports Administrator on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior)

  • 본 연구는 체육행정가의 서번트 리더십이 구성원의 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 체육행정조직의 효율적인 운영방법을 제시하기 위해 국민체육진흥공단 산하 3개 조직과 대한체육회를 모집단으로 설정하고 의도적 표집방법(purposive sampling method)을 이용하여 350부를 배부하여, 신뢰성이 없다고 판단된 17부의 설문지를 제외하고 최종 분석에 사용된 설문지는 333부였다. 자료처리는 SPSS WIN VERSION 12.0과 AMOS 4.0을 이용하여 빈도 분석과 신뢰도 분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 체육행정가의 서번트 리더십이 구성원의 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 구조방정식 모델을 분석한 결과 df=92, RMR=.039의 지수는 수정 전보다 더 양호한 수준으로 감소하였으며, CFI=.93, GFI=.92, NFI=.93, RMSEA=.050 지수는 수정 전보다 더 양호한 수준으로 증가하였음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 서번트 리더십은 직무만족에 경로계수 .457, t=6.253, p<.001 수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 조직시민행동에 경로계수 .426, t=5.912, p<.001 수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 직무만족은 조직시민행동에 경로계수 .321, t=4.172, p<.001 수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

국가대표 필드하키선수들의 허리의 시각적 상사 척도와 오스웨스트리 및 허리 근력의 스포츠 융합분석 (Sports convergence Analysis of muscle power and VAS, ODI of National Male Field Hockey Athletes.)

  • 본 연구는 국가대표 남자 필드하키선수들을 대상으로 허리의 시각적 상사 척도와 오스웨스트리 장애지수 및 허리의 근력 간의 상관관계 알아보고자 하였다. 시각적 상사 척도와 오스웨스트리 장애지수는 자기 기입식 평가로 진행하였으며, 허리의 근력을 DAVID를 이용하여 측정하였다. 자료 분석은 피어슨의 적률상관관계를 사용하였으며, 통계적 유의 수준은 α=.05로 하였다. 연구 결과 남자 필드하키선수들의 허리의 시각적 상사 척도와 오스웨스트리 장애지수는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 그러나 그 외의 시각적 상사 척도와 오스웨스트리 장애지수는 허리의 근력에 어떠한 상관관계도 없었다. 따라서, 필드하키선수들의 허리 재활운동 시 단순한 근력운동이 아닌 새로운 운동프로그램이 개발되어야 할 필요성이 있다. 이러한 연구들은 향후 선수들의 치료 및 운동프로그램 개발에 유용한 기초자료로 제공될 것으로 사료된다.

국가대표 투기종목 선수들의 급속 체중 감량과 신체적, 심리적 고충 (Rapid Weight Loss and Physical and Psychological Difficulties in National Combat Sports Athletes)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the current state of rapid weight loss and physical and mental complaints among elite combat athletes who were selected and trained as national representatives. METHODS: A total of 127 combat athletes who had trained at the national training center in 2019 were enrolled. The questionnaire used as the survey tool was interpreted as words that Korean athletes could easily understand based on the Portuguese version of the 'Rapid Weight Loss Questionnaire' (RWLQ). χ2 tests was performed to determine the differences in physical and mental changes according to sports and weight loss method. RESULTS: Combat athletes in Korea regularly undergo rapidly weight loss within a short period of time prior to competition. There were statistically similar results in terms of weight loss method, physical and mental changes and information about weight loss according to the sport. Weight loss methods often limit food and water intake and dehydrate. The physical complaints associated with them are symptoms such as "no energy", "dizziness", and "muscle spasms". The mental complaints include "irritability", "concentration loss" and "anxiety". These symptoms can be caused by side effects such as food intake limitation, water restriction and dehydration. Information sources for weight loss were in the order of "senior or colleagues", "supervisor or coach", and "Internet". No information was obtained from a doctor or dietitian. CONCLUSION: These results provide a baseline for predicting proper weight loss in athletes and provide useful information for developing performance enhancement as well as weight loss.

Psychosocial factors and eating behaviors according to the stages of change in nutrition management among elementary and middle school athletes

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: This study examined the differences in psychosocial factors and eating behaviors by the stages of change (SOC) in nutrition management among elementary and middle school athletes. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Subjects were young athletes recruited from the athletic clubs of 10 organizations. Subjects responded to a survey questionnaire, and data on 167 athletes were analyzed. Subjects were grouped into the pre-action or action stage in nutrition management. The χ2 test, t-test, analysis of covariance, and correlation analysis were used in data analysis. RESULTS: Athletes in the action stage (62.3%) compared to the pre-action stage, showed a higher self-efficacy (P < 0.01), and felt more confidence in performing specific eating behaviors (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01). Those in the action stage had more favorable beliefs regarding nutrition (P < 0.001) and agreed less strongly on the specific misconceptions/disadvantages of nutrition (P < 0.01) than those in the pre-action stage. Eating behaviors (P < 0.001) and subscales of the eating behaviors (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01) also differed significantly by the SOC group. Place of eating dinner (P < 0.05) and the person who prepares dinner (P < 0.05) showed significant differences by the SOC group. The relationship of self-efficacy, beliefs regarding nutrition, and eating behaviors to the SOC differed by sports type. Beliefs for football athletes, self-efficacy, and beliefs for baseball athletes were correlated significantly with the SOC, whereas all 3 variables were related to the SOC for handball and other athletes. CONCLUSIONS: This study showed differences in psychosocial factors and eating behaviors between the pre-action and action stages. Nutrition education should include strategies to help young athletes modify their beliefs, mainly misconceptions/disadvantages of nutrition, increase self-efficacy, and adopt specific and desirable eating behaviors. Nutrition education might employ different strategies considering the sports type that student-athletes participate.

여자 윈드서핑 선수의 경기 중 Global Positioning System 정보를 활용한 경기력 분석 (Analysis of Female Windsurfers' Performance Using Global Positioning System Information During Competitions)

  • Objective: This study aimed to identify the different wind speed categories and competitive level among windsurfers through GPS variables to provide the useful information on the development of training programs for enhancing windsurfers' performance. Method: Data from 69 female athletes who participated in 27 races during the 2018-2019 windsurfing season were used for the analysis. Average board speed, total race time, total distance, upwind race time, downwind race time, beam reach race time were collected through GPS. Unconfirmed data were excluded along with penalty point data. The wind conditions were classified as light, light to medium, medium, medium to heavy, and heavy wind, the competitive levels were classified as level 1, level 2, and level 3. Results: As for the average board speed, the level 1 or level 2 group showed higher board speed than the level 3 group in all wind conditions except for the light wind. The total race time and upwind race time showed less time in level 1 or level 2 group than level 3 group in all wind conditions. The total distance, downwind race time and beam reach race time showed less distance and time in level1 group than level 3 group under sufficient wind conditions. Conclusion: Our results show that the aerobic capacity to sustain pumping during upwind course in wind conditions below 15 kts effects performance. In wind conditions of 15 kts or more, indicated that the board control for the fast board speed and small distance required during up, down, beam reach courses had an effect on competition performance. This information can be provided to windsurfers and coaching as basic data for training programs to improve performance.

발의 형태학적 특성에 따른 시공간 보행 변인과 하지의 기능 및 통증 차이 (Differences in Spatiotemporal Gait Parameters and Lower Extremity Function and Pain in Accordance with Foot Morphological Characteristics)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the differences in spatiotemporal gait performance, function, and pain of lower-extremity according to foot morphological characteristics. Method: This case-control study recruited 42 adults and they were classified into 3 groups according to foot morphology using navicular-drop test: pronated (≥ 10 mm), normal (5~9 mm), and supinated (≤ 4 mm) feet. Spatiotemporal gait analysis and questionnaires including Foot and Ankle Ability Measure activities of daily living / Sports, Western Ontario and McMasters Universities Osteoarthritis Index, Lower Extremity Functional Scale, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, and Tegner activity score were conducted. One-way analysis of variance was used for statistical analysis. Results: The pronated feet group showed longer loading response and double limb support in both feet and increased pre-swing phase in non-dominant feet. The supinated feet group demonstrated a longer swing phase in non-dominant feet and single limb support in dominant feet. However, there was no significant group difference in function and pain of knee joint and lower-extremity between groups. Conclusion: Our results indicated that abnormal spatiotemporal gait performance according to foot morphology. Although there was no difference in lower extremity dysfunction and pain according to the difference in foot morphology, they have the possibility of symptom occurs as a result of continuous participation in activities of daily living and sports. Therefore, individuals with pronated or supinated foot should be supplemented by utilizing an orthosis or training to restore normal gait performance.

UHD 4K end to end broadcast solution over DVB-T2 SFN network using HEVC real time encoding

  • With major sports events such as FIFA World Cup and The Olympic Games coming up, UHDTV technology has been given a major push by broadcasters, test and measurement (T&M), and consumer electronics (TV and set-top box) manufacturers. The increase in picture resolution ($3840{\times}2160$) for 4K and ($7680{\times}4320$) for 8K compared to current HDTV ($1920{\times}1080$), as well as the need to deliver these services in higher frame rates (50/60 up to 100/120fps) translate to a big challenge in UHDTV content delivery to households over terrestrial transmission due to higher data rates. DVB-T2 has been favored by many countries across the world as it is proven to give the best spectral efficiency for terrestrial broadcasting. On the other hand MPEG-4 appears to be the bottleneck for UHDTV since a much higher data rate is needed to deliver such services. Therefore HEVC becomes mandatory for UHDTV delivery over DVB-T2. In this paper, we will give an overview about a complete end-to-end solution for UHDTV delivery over DVB-T2 based on a realistic SFN scenario in Seoul metropolitan area.

Production of clothes for beach volleyball players: Safe against ultraviolet radiation damage

  • Volleyball is an international sport with many fans. This sport has made significant progress in schools and clubs. Volleyball is suitable for all age groups and can be used in different environments. It has many social and physical benefits. During the game provides special physical training for the players and is considered one of the most exciting games. Another type of volleyball is beach volleyball, a beach sport and one of the Olympic sports held on the sand with the same rules as volleyball. This sport is usually played in coastal areas, especially with wide sandy beaches. Because this sport is played in open spaces, the players stay in this space for a long time and are exposed to dangerous ultraviolet radiation. It is a wavelength of light in the range of electromagnetic waves with a wavelength between 10 and 400 nm. This wavelength is shorter than visible light and more protracted than X-ray. Ultraviolet (UV) rays are naturally present in sunlight and include about 10% of all waves emitted from the sun's surface. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light causes acute and chronic damage to the skin and vision and even destroys the entire immune system. Different covers of the earth's surface reflect different amounts of UV rays. For example, snow cover, sand, and seawater surface reflect this radiation. Therefore, the health of volleyball players is in danger due to this harmful radiation. This work aims to introduce a type of clothing made of nanoparticles that can repel ultraviolet rays and protect beach volleyball players whose health is at risk from this radiation.
