동·식물성 유지를 이용한 바이오디젤 생산에 관한 연구 (Yield and Characterization of Various Biodiesel from Vegetable Oils and Animal Fats)

  • Biodiesel was produced by "transesterification" of vegetable oils and animal fats as an alternative to petroleum diesel. The research analysed the fuel characteristics of biodiesel, the yield of by-products and biodiesel, using several vegetable oils - rapeseed oil, camellia oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, perilla oil, palm oil, olive oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil and animal fats such as lard, tallow, and chicken fat. The results showed the yields of biodiesel made from the vegetable oils and animal fats were $90.8{\pm}1.4{\sim}96.4{\pm}0.9%$ and $84.9{\pm}1.1{\sim}89.6{\pm}1.5%$ respectively. Production rates and oxidation characteristics were different depending on the fats applied.

목조문화재 보존 및 단청에 이용하는 들기름에 관한 연구 (The Study on the perilla oil for the conservation of wooden cultural properties)

  • The perilla oil is painted to the wooden cultural properties of protection of wood and pigment. But that is happened to discolor and gather mold because of the long drying time. So we were put to the test for the improvement of this matter. The result is follows;1. The perilla oil, do not parched domestic Perilla japonica, add to the Japanese acid clay, later passing through the filter paper that the pore size is less than $7\mum$ 2. If the perilla oil add to the antiseptic of Thiazole origin, the mold is suppressed.3. In the painting of perilla oil, the existing Dan-chung paints one time (Luster generation in the more than two times) and the non-existing Dan-Chung paints two times.

  • The superhydrophobic and superoleophobic meshes surfaces have been used in various applications such as self-cleaning, anti-icing, gas exchange, oil-water separation, sound-wave penetrable anti-wetting structures, etc. In particular, there are many studies for oil-water separation with environmental issues. Because of high pressure and dynamic environment, oil-water separation filters must have stable surface properties as super-hydrophobicity and superoleophobicity. The oleophobicity of surface depends on the surface chemistry and roughness of the surface. The roughness of oleophobic surface enhances its static contact angle and stability. The multi-scale hierarchical structure provides a stable superhydrophobic state by maintaining a Cassie state. In this research, we fabricated a superoleophobic mesh with a multi-scale hierarchical structure to increase the pressure resistance and adjusted a size of the mesh hole.

  • In this paper, an optical fiber sensor(OF sensor) utilizing the principal of Sagnac interferometer was proposed to detect the discharge signals. The needle-sphere electrode system in insulating oil generated the signals. The performance of OF sensor was checked by sinusoidal calibration signal generated by PZT actuator at 198KHz. The detected discharge signals consisted of acoustic signal and the electrical noise. The noise signal could be removed by digital low pass filter. It was demonstrated that the OF sensor in this research had a possibility to detect the discharge signals in power apparatus.

  • Recently, the problem of the accumulation of fine sludge from the cutting oil generated during machining processes has become a major threat to the environment. The fine sludge has adverse affects on the human body and the environment, and significantly contributes to marine pollution. However, a microfiltration technique that can process the sludge still needs to be studied and developed on a global scale. Therefore, it is necessary to develop eco-friendly equipment such as an ECO vacuum filter system and eco-friendly technologies for processing cutting oil. In this study, a structural analysis was carried out using a finite element method (FEM). Improved models of the suction chamber for the ECO vacuum filter system were proposed based on the analysis of the displacement and stress of the system. The model with the best result was then optimized using the commercial software, ANSYS. It was confirmed that, in the optimized model, displacement and stress were reduced in comparison with the initial model. Finally, the structural stability of the optimized model was verified through analysis.

자동차부품 벤처기업 스마트공장 및 모니터링 시스템 구현 사례연구 (A Case Study on Smart Plant and Monitoring System Implementation of Venture Company for Auto Parts)

  • 본 연구에서는 설비자동화를 통한 생산성 향상 및 제품품질, 공장 환경 개선, 설비 유지 관리 상태 및 제품 불량 유무 확인 등 제품품질관리를 위해 공장현장내에서 실시간 모니터링을 실시하고, 현장 작업시 발생하는 각종 분진을 제거하고, 작업자 개인 환경을 보호하기 위한 목적으로 스마트 공장을 구축하는 사례를 연구하여 제시하였다. 해당기업은 지방에 소재하고 있는 자동차부품기업이며 주요 연구내용은 스마트공장에 필요한 오일필터 클립핑 자동화 및 모니터링 시스템 개발이다. 스마트 공장 오일 필터 클립핑 자동화는 전기에어부품, 솔레노이드밸브 및 기타와 장비부품 가공 제작 과정으로 구분하여 구현하였으며, 스마트 공장 품질검사 모니터링 시스템은 서버PC 및 S/W, 클라이언트 S/W 및 현황 디스플레이 모니터, 운영자 PC, 운영프로그램, 입력단말기 어플리케이션 등으로 구분하여 실제적으로 구현하였다. 본 연구자료는 스마트공장을 추진하는 자동차부품 벤처기업에게 매우 유용한 자료가 될 것으로 보여진다.

칼만필터와 다층퍼셉트론을 이용한 선박 오토파일럿의 자이로스코프 신호 잡음제거 (Gyroscope Signal Denoising of Ship's Autopilot using Kalman Filter and Multi-Layer Perceptron)

  • 2020년 1월 1일부터 국제해사기구(IMO)는 전 세계 모든 해역을 지나가는 선박을 대상으로 선박연료유의 황 함유량 상한선을 3.5 %에서 0.5 %로 낮춰 선박으로 인해 발생하는 대기오염을 줄이기 위한 강력한 규제를 실시한다. 황 함유량이 낮은 연료유를 사용하여 대기오염 물질을 줄이는 것도 중요하지만 선박을 경제적으로 운영하여 불필요한 에너지 낭비를 줄이는 것 또한 대기오염 물질을 줄이는데 큰 도움이 된다. 따라서 선박은 잡음의 영향을 받더라도 항로를 정확하게 유지하여야 한다. 항로를 정확하게 추종하기 위해 오토파일럿 시스템이 사용되지만 오토파일럿 시스템의 성능이 아무리 우수하다 하더라도 잡음의 영향을 받게 된다면 성능에 한계를 가진다. 실제 환경에서는 자이로스코프에서 측정잡음이 더해진 회두각이 오토파일럿 시스템의 입력으로 들어가 오토파일럿 시스템의 성능을 저하시킨다. 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 상태추정에 쓰이는 Kalman Filter를 적용하여 잡음의 영향을 줄여주는 기법이 있지만 이 또한 역시 잡음의 영향을 완전히 제거시키는 것이 불가능하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 잡음제거 성능을 더욱 더 개선시키기 위해 전진방향 구간에서는 인공지능 기술 중 하나인 다층퍼셉트론(Multi-Layer Perceptron; MLP)를 적용하고, 회전구간에서는 Kalman Filter를 적용하여 Kalman Filter만을 사용한 경우보다 우수한 잡음제거 기법을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 방법이 Kalman Filter만을 사용한 경우보다 조타기의 오동작을 방지하여 선박의 전진방향 운동이 개선됨을 확인할 수 있다.

  • A computer program for the analysis of engine lubrication systems has been developed. And a case study of a four cylinders gasoline engine is illustrated. This paper gives the mathematical models for oil flow through hydraulic tappet as well as the ones of oil jet and plain journal bearings. And the new from an oil pump and the flow resistance through an oil filter is considered at various temperatures. In the analysis, the various design guidelines are applied. The distribution of flow and pressure of an engine lubrication system are calculated, and the pressure data compared with the experimental data at a few points in the engine lubrication system. This method is helpful to design of engine lubrication system efficiently.

선박용 주방 환기후드의 성능평가에 관한 연구 (Study on Performance Evaluation of Marine Kitchen Ventilation Hood)

  • The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of the Ventilation hood and to make better oil collection for improvement. In order to complete the purpose, the research range has limited a kitchen cooking utensil used in preparing food in vessels. Assessment was carried out with reference(ASTM F1704-09) to the specification. Evaluation items of ventilation hood were flow visualization, oil collection rate and noise levels. When filter angle was 40 degrees, oil collection rate was increased by 9%.
