황복(Takifugu obscurus) 수정란의 부화방법 및 수송 시기에 따른 부화율 조사 (Effects of Incubation Method and Transfer Timing on the Hatching Rate of Fertilized Eggs of the River Puffer Takifugu obscurus)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of incubation methods and transfer timings on the hatching rate of fertilized eggs of the river puffer Takifugu obscurus. Four incubation methods were tested, a) control (fertilized eggs attached to the glass plate), b) bottom (fertilized eggs spread on the bottom of the tank without any treatment), c) S-bottom (removing the stickiness of the fertilized eggs, and then spreading the eggs on the bottom of the tank), and d) incubator (removing the stickiness of the fertilized eggs, and then incubating the eggs in an incubator). Additionally, four transfer timings were tested: a) control (no transfer from the incubation tank), b) zygote (fertilized eggs transferred at the zygote stage), c) segmentation (fertilized eggs transferred at the segmentation stage), and d) pharygula (fertilized eggs transferred at the pharygula state). The results showed that the hatching rate of incubator was significantly higher than those of control, bottom, and glass (P<0.05). The results also showed that the hatching rates of control and pharygula were significantly higher than those of zygote and segmentation (P<0.05).

Using Syntax and Shallow Semantic Analysis for Vietnamese Question Generation

  • This paper presents a method of using syntax and shallow semantic analysis for Vietnamese question generation (QG). Specifically, our proposed technique concentrates on investigating both the syntactic and shallow semantic structure of each sentence. The main goal of our method is to generate questions from a single sentence. These generated questions are known as factoid questions which require short, fact-based answers. In general, syntax-based analysis is one of the most popular approaches within the QG field, but it requires linguistic expert knowledge as well as a deep understanding of syntax rules in the Vietnamese language. It is thus considered a high-cost and inefficient solution due to the requirement of significant human effort to achieve qualified syntax rules. To deal with this problem, we collected the syntax rules in Vietnamese from a Vietnamese language textbook. Moreover, we also used different natural language processing (NLP) techniques to analyze Vietnamese shallow syntax and semantics for the QG task. These techniques include: sentence segmentation, word segmentation, part of speech, chunking, dependency parsing, and named entity recognition. We used human evaluation to assess the credibility of our model, which means we manually generated questions from the corpus, and then compared them with the generated questions. The empirical evidence demonstrates that our proposed technique has significant performance, in which the generated questions are very similar to those which are created by humans.

Subspace Projection-Based Clustering and Temporal ACRs Mining on MapReduce for Direct Marketing Service

  • A reliable analysis of consumer preference from a large amount of purchase data acquired in real time and an accurate customer characterization technique are essential for successful direct marketing campaigns. In this study, an optimal segmentation of post office customers in Korea is performed using a subspace projection-based clustering method to generate an accurate customer characterization from a high-dimensional census dataset. Moreover, a traditional temporal mining method is extended to an algorithm using the MapReduce framework for a consumer preference analysis. The experimental results show that it is possible to use parallel mining through a MapReduce-based algorithm and that the execution time of the algorithm is faster than that of a traditional method.

주거가치 유형화에 따른 아파트 선택 및 주거만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Apartment Choice and Housing Satisfaction by the Type of Housing Value)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the apartment Choice and Housing Satisfaction by the Housing Value Segmentation. Survey questionnaires were conducted on 1103 married women from three residential areas in Daegu. Data were analized by SPSS package program. Major findings are the following: Quality oriented type preferred environment oriented and multiple apartment. Safety investment type answered the bases of the information as of sales/model house, real estate office, oral information from relative neighbor. Ostentation negative type is dissatisfied for the present apartment were listed such as inconvenient inner structure and inner space, education environment for children, privacy protection, convenient transportation for the urban area. Convenience educational environment type is dissatisfied for the present apartment were listed such as inconvenient inner structure and inner space, anti sonic materials, education environment for children, privacy protection.

서장 우편물 자동처리를 위한 우편영상 인식 시스템 (Postal Envelope Image Recognition System for Postal Automation)

  • 본 논문에서는 우편물 자동처리론 위한 우편영상 인식 시스템을 소개한다. 우편영상 인식 시스템은 서장 우편물을 집배원이 배달하는 순서에 따라 자동으로 구분할 수 있도록 우편영상을 입력으로 받아 수신인 주소를 출력하는 인식 시스템을 말한다. 이 시스템은 수신인 주소영역 추출, 문자열 분리, 문자분할, 문자인식, 그리고 주소해석 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 주소영역 추출을 위해서는 우편물 주소 기입 위치에 대한 경험적 지식을 이용하였으며, 문자열 분리와 문자분한을 위해서는 연결요소 분석과 수직런 분석을 이용하였다. 문자인식에는 신경망 기반 인식기를 이용하였으며, 주소해석을 위해서는 동적 프로그래밍 기법을 적용하였다. 각 모듈은 독립적으로 구현되었기 때문에 인식 시스템의 성능 개선을 위한 모듈별 최적화가 용이하다는 장점이 있다. 실험에는 대전 유성우체국의 우편물 구분기를 이용하여 실제 우편물에서 수집한 인쇄 우편영상과 필기 우편영상을 이용하였으며, 비교적 우수한 인식 결과를 얻었다.

컬러 맵과 컬러 칩 추출의 특허 출원과 적용 사례 (Extracting the color map and color chip for a patent and application)

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain the patent for extracting the color map and color chip from the color image source and to develop color image map for fashion design. For this study, fashion image maps were produced from 210 pictures with Adobe Photoshop CS2 program targeting 200 university students from 2004 to 2006. The procedures for extracting the color map and color chip included providing the color image, the filtering phase, the segmentation phase, the extraction phrase, and the arrangement phase. Based on the results of this study, patent application was made to KIPO(Korean Intellectual Property Office) for this invention. The following effects can be expected from the standpoint of design based on the case study. First, it is a straight forward procedure to extract a color chip and color map from a color image. Second, it can be applied to various art works based on the recombination of colors as representative colors can be extracted from the related color image that combines a variety of colors. Third, desired colors can be selected based on the taste cluster classification or sensibility axis of design by extracting the representative color from the color image.

  • 장면 전환 검출을 위한 기존의 주요 방법은 대부분 화소값 차이, 통계적 차이, 그리고 일반적으로 가장 많이 사용하는 히스토그램 비교법등이었다. 이러한 방법에서는 각 비디오 프레임내에 포함되어 있는 영상의 내용 변화에 의한 장면 전환을 검출하기가 어렵고 히스토그램이 비슷한 경우 장면 전환 검출을 할 수 없었다. 본 논문에서는 비디오 시퀀스로부터 빠른 움직임을 포함하는 장면의 변화를 검출하는 객체의 중심점을 이용한 영역분할기법을 제안하였다. 제안하는 방법은 두 개의 프레임간 차영상을 이용해서 명암차를 추출한 후 화소값과 객체 영역의 중심점을 구한 후 사등분 분할하여 영역객체의 평균 및 분산값을 이용해서 내용에 의한 장면 전환도 검출하였다. 실험결과 제안된 방법에 의한 장면 전환 검출은 기존의 다른 방법에 비해 더 나은 성능을 얻었다.

Masked Face Recognition via a Combined SIFT and DLBP Features Trained in CNN Model

  • The latest global COVID-19 pandemic has made the use of facial masks an important aspect of our lives. People are advised to cover their faces in public spaces to discourage illness from spreading. Using these face masks posed a significant concern about the exactness of the face identification method used to search and unlock telephones at the school/office. Many companies have already built the requisite data in-house to incorporate such a scheme, using face recognition as an authentication. Unfortunately, veiled faces hinder the detection and acknowledgment of these facial identity schemes and seek to invalidate the internal data collection. Biometric systems that use the face as authentication cause problems with detection or recognition (face or persons). In this research, a novel model has been developed to detect and recognize faces and persons for authentication using scale invariant features (SIFT) for the whole segmented face with an efficient local binary texture features (DLBP) in region of eyes in the masked face. The Fuzzy C means is utilized to segment the image. These mixed features are trained significantly in a convolution neural network (CNN) model. The main advantage of this model is that can detect and recognizing faces by assigning weights to the selected features aimed to grant or provoke permissions with high accuracy.

  • The inspection work at construction sites is one of the important supervisory tasks, which involves verifying that the building is being constructed by the numerical values specified in the design drawings. The conventional measuring method for inspection involves using tools or equipment such as rulers directly by the personnel at the site, and it is usually confirmed by vision. Therefore, this study proposes an model to measure numerical values on images of the construction site. Through the case study to measure the installation interval of jack supports, the proposed algorithm was verified the effiect and validity. The results of this study suggest that it can support inspection work even in the office, which may have been overlooked by on-site inspectors, and contribute to the digitization of inspection work at construction sites.
