  • Aging test to estimate life property of polymer insulator is executed through several international standard such as IEC 61109 and CEA tracking wheel test, but is not getting clear conclusion yet. There are two methods in the diagnosis method of polymer insulator such as off-line and on-line. The diagnosis methods in off-line are external condition analysis by the eye, contaminant analysis on surface, surface analysis, pollution withstand voltage test, power frequency flashover voltage test, lightning impulse flashover test, tensile fracture load test and flexural load test. The diagnosis methods in off-line most are the method for virgin and last aged sample. However, the diagnosis method in on-line is method that can be evaluate sample state as progressing continuously aging test in beginning, The diagnosis method in on-line is arranged as following: leakage current measurement, electric field, surface state investigation, thermal image, emitting light measurement and then so. In this paper, the tracking performance of polymer insulator with salt solution which is added surface active agent. The diagnosis of insulator sample has been analyzed by leakage current and visual examination.

수력 발전기 권선에서의 운전중 부분방전 측정기법 (On-line partial discharge measurement techniques of hydro-generator windings)

  • In hydro-generator, a groundwall insulation of stator windings gradually deteriorates due to mechanical, thermal, electrical and environmental stresses. These stresses combine to result in loose windings, delamination of the stator insulation and/or electrical tracking of the endwinding, all of which can lead to stator insulation failures. Conventionally, off-line tests such as partial discharge measurement, DC/AC current and .DELTA.tan.delta. tests has been used for estimation of winding condition. However, off-line test requires large power supply and generator outage. In addition, major cause of insulation problems such as loose wedges and slot dischages may not be found with off-line diagnoses. This paper introduces the on-line partial discharge measurement techniques using frequency spectrum analyzer(FSA) for the generator stator windings. The experimental results from the UIAM #1 hydro-generator confirms a optimistic application of on-line generator diagnosis method as a reliable tool for evaluation of winding condition.

  • The solid insulation system of stator windings in high voltage rotational machines is usually aging in accordance with long time operation. The partial discharge test have been known to check whether insulation deterioration exist or not, and the PD test can effectively diagnose a solid insulation condition regardless of during operation(on-line) or not(off-line). The on-line PD measurement have proven to be a successful technique in monitoring stator insulation condition nowadays. This paper describes the characteristics of comparing the on-line PD measurement data using PDMS-HG(Partial Discharge Monitoring System for Hydro-electric Generator) installed in field with the off-line diagnosis measurement data(insulation resistance, winding resistance, PI, ${\Delta}tan{\delta}$ and PD) on hydro generator(13[kV]) stator windings. These results make good use of managing rotational machines through evaluating the solid insulation condition of stator windings.

  • Accident dangerousness of domestic hydro power generators which are operated in Korea is on the increase because of use at the long term. On this, the Off-line diagnosis techniques developed to the On-line by continued domestic technical development since 2000. Especially, On-line insulation diagnosis of domestic hydro power generator is possible by localization of partial electric discharge sensor and On-line insulation diagnosis system. This paper shows the diagnosis result that is applied localized Ceramic Coupler and PDMS-HG(Partial Discharge Monitoring System for Hydro Generator) at four Chung-ju hydro Generator used for 25 years. Particularly, the confidence of insulation diagnosis is improved by using high frequency filter and sampling the partial discharge signals which occur in site. For reviewing the confidence of On-Line insulation diagnosis system, we measured the outside noises and partial discharge signals during practical operation by using the partial discharge diagnosis system of the Full A/D process. And we reviewed the confidence of the On-Line insulation diagnosis system by comparing and analyzing these data.

  • In this paper, fault analysis using simulation method and fault diagnosis scheme are presented for induction motor drive system. Major faults such as inverter 'a' phase open fault, inverter 'a'-'b' phase short circuit fault and inverter 'a' phase ground fault are analyzed and simulated. On-line and off-line fault diagnosis systems are proposed.

  • In this paper, a new expert system scheme, called Logic Based Expert System (LBES), is proposed for real time fault diagnosis of power system. In LBES, Expertise is represented by logical connectives and converted into a Boolean function. The set of Prime Implicants (PIs) of the Boolean function contains all the sound inference results which can be obtained from the expertise. Therefore, off-line inference is possible by off-line PI identification, which reduces the on-line inference time considerably and makes it possible to utilize-the LBES in real-time environment.

High voltage power equipments are very important equipment of the key industries and the private enterprise. Power line accidents are national plans because of those set off casualties lose of power equipments and communication networks. Therefore the necessity of the development of detecting for power equipment diagnosis is demand for prevention of high voltage equipment accidents. This paper is the development of electromagnetic wave detecting equipment for diagnosis of high voltage equipment. This paper establishes the diagnosis method for high voltage power equipments, that secures original technique and possesses detecting technique for electromagnetic wave. By the study we developed electromagnetic wave detector, and we applied this equipment application tests at the place constructed high voltage equipments.

  • 산업현장에서는 회전기기의 고체절연시스템(solid insulation system)의 열화정도를 평가하기 위하여 일정 진단주기에 맞춰 Off-line 상태에서 직류시험 및 교류시험을 통하여 효과적으로 절연물에 대한 상태평가를 시행하고 있다. 직류시험으로는 절연저항, 성극지수(PI) 시험 등이 있으며 교류시험으로는 교류전류시험(${\Delta}I$), 유전정접시험(${\Delta}tan{\delta}$), 부분방전(PD)시험이 있다. 여기서 부분방전은 절연체의 국부적인 열화현상을 추정할 수 있는 중요한 파라미터로, 부분방전시험(PD test)을 통하여 고정자권선(stator winding)에 대한 절연특성을 효과적으로 진단할 수 있다. 고압 전동기는 기동정지의 빈번함과 장기간 운전에 의해 열적, 전기적, 기계적 스트레스를 받게 되고, 이로 인해 과열, 진동, 절연파괴에 이르는 문제점이 발생되어 결국 시스템의 운전정지를 초래하는 심각한 사고로 이어질 수 있다. 따라서 고압 전동기의 절연상태를 주기적으로 감시하고 사고 징후를 검출하여 시스템을 안정적으로 운영하기 위한 고압 전동기 Off-line 절연진단에 대하여 기술하고 수차발전기에 대한 절연상태진단 결과를 바탕으로 절연시스템의 신뢰성 평가 방법에 대하여 고찰하고자 한다.
