Nonlinear normal mode (NNM) vibration, in a nonlinear dual mass Hamiltonian system, which has 6th order homogeneous polynomial as a nonlinear term, is studied in this paper. The existence, bifurcation, and the orbital stability of periodic motions are to be studied in the phase space. In order to find the analytic expression of the invariant curves in the Poincare Map, which is a mapping of a phase trajectory onto 2 dimensional surface in 4 dimensional phase space, Whittaker's Adelphic Integral, instead of the direct integration of the equations of motion or the Birkhotf-Gustavson (B-G) canonical transformation, is derived for small value of energy. It is revealed that the integral of motion by Adelphic Integral is essentially consistent with the one obtained from the B-G transformation method. The resulting expression of the invariant curves can be used for analyzing the behavior of NNM vibration in the Poincare Map.
Microtubule-associated protein 1B (MAP1B), a member of MAP1 family, plays a key role in neuronal development. MAP1B binds to many kinds of proteins directly or indirectly. This study was performed to investigate whether MAP1B interacts with GAPDH in bovine follicles using immunoprecipitation (IP) with Western blot analysis and immunohistochemisty. The mRNA expressions of MAP1B and glyceraldehydes 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) were down-regulated in bovine follicular cystic follicles (FCF). In parallel with the mRNA levels, their protein levels were also down-regulated in FCFs. In addition, MAP1B and GAPDH were co-localized at the cytoplasm of follicles. IP with Western blot analysis showed that MAP1B bound to GAPDH in normal follicles, but their binding was absent in FCFs, suggesting a low level of MAP1B and/or GAPDH expressions in FCFs. Taken together, these results suggest that MAP1B interacted with GAPDH may play a role in bovine follicle development, and that GAPDH does not function always as a loading control in bovine follicles.
We consider the problem of determining conductivity of the medium from the measurements of the electric potential on the boundary and the corresponding current flux across the boundary. We give a formula for reconstructing the conductivity and its normal derivative at the point of the boundary simultaneously from the localized Diichlet to Neumann map around that point.
An investigation into the nonlinear free vibrations of a cantilever beam which can have not only planar motion but also nonplanar motion is made. Using Galerkin's method based on the first mode in each motion, we transform the boundary and initial value problem into an initial value problem of two-degree-of-freedom system. The system turns out to have two normal modes. By Synge's stability concept we examine the stability of each mode. In order to check validity of the stability we obtain the numerical Poincare map of the motions neighboring on each mode.
In this study, a cutting force in the Ball-end milling process is calculated using Z-map. Z-map can describe any type of cutting area resulting from the previous cutting geometry and cutting condition. Cutting edge of a ball-end mill is divided into infinitesimal cutting edge elements and the position of the ele- ment is projected to the cutter plane normal to the Z axis. Also the cutting area in the cutter plane is obtained by using the Z-map. Comparing this projected position with cutting area, it can be determined whether it engages in the cutting. The cutting force can be calculated by numerical integration of cutting force acting on the engaged cutting edge elements. A series of experiments such as contouring and upward/downward ramp cutting was performed to verify the calculated cutting force.
In this study, a method is proposed for the cutting force prediction of Ball-end milling process using Z-map is proposed. Any types of cutting area generated from previous cutting process can be expressed in z-map data. Cutting edge of a ball-end mill is divided into a set of finite cutting edges and the position of this edge is projected to the cross-section plane normal to the Z-axis. Comparing this projected position with Z-map data of cutting area and determining whether it is in the cutting region, total cutting force can be calculated by means of numerical integration. A series of experiments such as side cutting and upward/downard cutting was performet to verify the simulated cutting force.

We investigated whether experimental esophagitis and IL-1$\beta$ could induce the activation of MAP kinases in esophageal smooth muscle. With two models of experimental esophagitis, we assessed the activity of p38 MAP kinase, p44/42 MAP kinase and JNK. In feline acute experimental esophagitis, immunoblotting of normal and esophagitis-induced smooth muscle with each types of MAP kinase antibodies revealed the slight increase of phosphorylated form of p38 MAP kinase, especially in membrane fraction. Depth estimation is one of the most complicated and difficult problems to deal with in the light field. In this paper, a compound attention convolutional neural network (CAttNet) is proposed to extract depth maps from light field images. To make more effective use of the sub-aperture images (SAIs) of light field and reduce the redundancy in SAIs, we use a compound attention mechanism to weigh the channel and space of the feature map after extracting the primary features, so it can more efficiently select the required view and the important area within the view. We modified various layers of feature extraction to make it more efficient and useful to extract features without adding parameters. By exploring the characteristics of light field, we increased the network depth and optimized the network structure to reduce the adverse impact of this change. CAttNet can efficiently utilize different SAIs correlations and features to generate a high-quality light field depth map. The experimental results show that CAttNet has advantages in both accuracy and time.
We investigated that the role of nitric oxide (NO) on ischemic rats in brain and heart. Ischemia was induced by both common carotid arteries (CCA) occlusion for 24h following reperfusion. Then tissue samples were removed and measured NOx. In brain, NOx was increased by about 40% vs. normal and it was significantly inhibited by aminoguanidine, selective iNOS inhibitor. This result showed that NOx concentration was increased by iNOS. We investigated the role of $Ca^{2+}$ during ischemia. Nimodipine, L-type calcium channel blocker, didn't inhibit the increases of NOx concentration during ischemia. It suggested that increased NOx was due to calcium-independent NOS. MK-801, which N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, didn't significantly prevent the increases of NOx. In heart, ischemia caused NOx decrease and it is inconsistent with NOx increase in brain. Aminoguanidine and nimodipine didnt affect on NOx decrease. But MK-801 more lowered NOx concentration than those of ischemia control group. It seemed that $Ca^{2+}$ influx in heart partially occurred via NMDA receptor and inhibited by NMDA receptor antagonist. The mean arterial pressure (MAP) in ischemic rats after 24h of CCA occlusion was decreased when compared to normal value, whereas the heart rates (HR) was not different between two groups. Aminoguanidine or MK801 had no effect on MAP or HR, but nimodipine reduced MAP. There was no difference the effects of aminoguanidine, nimodipine, or MK-801, on MAP and HR between normal rats and ischemic rats. In summary, ischemic model caused an increase of NOx concentration, suggesting that this may be produced via iNOS, which is calcium independent in brain. However in heart, ischemia decreased NOx concentration and NMDA receptor was partially involved. The basal MAP was decreased in ischemic rats but HR was not different from normal control, suggesting that increased NOx in brain of ischemic rat may result in the hypotension.

In texture-plus-depth format, depth map compression is an important task. Different from normal texture images, depth maps have less texture information, while contain many homogeneous regions separated by sharp edges. This feature will be employed to form an efficient depth map coding scheme in this paper. Firstly, the histogram of the depth map will be analyzed to find an appropriate threshold that segments the depth map into the foreground and background regions, allowing the edge between these two kinds of regions to be obtained. Secondly, the two regions will be encoded through rate distortion optimization with a shape adaptive wavelet transform, while the edges are lossless encoded with JBIG2. Finally, a depth-updating algorithm based on the threshold and the depth range is applied to enhance the quality of the decoded depth maps. Experimental results demonstrate the effective performance on both the depth map quality and the synthesized view quality.
