여대생의 식생활 양상 및 운동여부와 체성분 구성의 관계 (A Study of Body Composition, Dietary Behavior, and Exercise among Students at Women's Colleges)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine BMI, body fat mass, percent body fat, waist-hip ratio, soft lean mass, skeletal muscle mass, and fat free mass, and to determine the association between dietary behavior and exercise and body composition among students at women's colleges, and decide on the relationships among them. Method: This study employed a cross-sectional study design and a convenient sampling method. Ultimately, a total of 404 students participated in the study, which was conducted from September 1 to December 22, 2009. Measurements administered were comprised of dietary behavior and a questionnaire on exercise. The SPSS Win 18.0 statistics program was used for analysis of final data. Results: Major findings are as follows: 9.9% of participants showed a high BMI, and more than 56% and 38% of participants showed a high percent body fat and waist-hip ratio, respectively. Dietary behavior showed a significant negative association with percent body fat (r=-0.110, p=0.027) and waist-hip ratio (r=-0.118, p=0.018). Compared with the non-regular exercise group, the regular exercise group showed a high level of soft, lean mass (t=4.15, p<0.001), skeletal muscle mass (t=3.13, p=0.002), and fat free mass (t=4.00, p<0.001). Conclusion: For maintenance of proper body composition, health promotion programs for management of dietary behavior and regular exercise for students at women's colleges should be developed.

  • 콘크리트의 전기저항은 염소이온 확산계수와 비교하여 빠르고 간단히 측정할 수 있기 때문에, 염소이온 확산계수를 제어하기 위한 간접적인 지표로서 활용될 수 있다. 전기저항은 해양구조물의 유지관리 전략을 수립하는데 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 전기저항측정의 프로토콜을 설계하는 것이다. 본 연구는 염소이온과의 관계성을 토대로 콘크리트의 성능을 파악하는 중요한 비파괴 접근방법을 제시하였다. 수분, 공극량, 공극간 굴곡특성 등과 같은 미세구조 특성이 전기저항에 미치는 영향을 배합조건별 수화단계별로 고찰하였다. 전기저항과 염소이온 확산계수의 관계로부터 정규적인 전기저항의 측정을 토대로 염소이온 확산계수를 간접적으로 통제하는데 본 성과가 이용될 수 있다.

On the mitigation of surf-riding by adjusting center of buoyancy in design stage

  • High-speed vessels are prone to the surf-riding in adverse quartering seas. The possibility of mitigating the surf-riding of the ITTC A2 fishing vessel in the design stage is investigated using the 6-DOF weakly non-linear model developed for surf-riding simulations in quartering seas. The longitudinal position of the ship's center of buoyancy (LCB) is chosen as the design parameter. The adjusting of LCB is achieved by changing frame area curves, and hull surfaces are reconstructed accordingly using the Radial Basis Function (RBF). Surf-riding motions in regular following seas for cases with different LCBs and Froude numbers are simulated using the numerical model. Results show that the surf-riding cannot be prevented by the adjusting of LCB. However, it occurs with a higher threshold speed when ship's center of buoyancy (COB) is moved towards stem compared to moving towards stern, which is mainly due to the differences on wave resistance caused by the adjusting of LCB.

  • 국내에서 BIM의 실무 활용은 건축공사 중심으로 적용되고 있다. 건축공사의 부위별 객체 특성이 정형적, 수직적, 반복적인 형태를 갖는 반면에 토목공사의 객체 특성은 비정형적, 수평적, 비반복적인 형태를 갖으므로 3D객체 구성이 어렵기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 토목공사의 기획단계부터 설계단계까지의 업무 및 정보관리의 문제점을 파악한 후 BIM기반에서의 적용 프로세스를 제안하며, 제시한 프로세스를 기반으로 BIM시스템을 구축하여 교량공사를 대상으로 실무 적용성을 검토한다.

An Analytical Solution for Regular Progressive Water Waves

  • In order to provide simple and accurate wave theory in design of offshore structure, an analytical approximation is introduced in this paper. The solution is limited to flat bottom having a constant water depth. Water is considered as inviscid, incompressible and irrotational. The solution satisfies the continuity equation, bottom boundary condition and non-linear kinematic free surface boundary condition exactly. Error for dynamic condition is quite small. The solution is suitable in description of breaking waves. The solution is presented with closed form and dispersion relation is also presented with closed form. In the last century, there have been two main approaches to the nonlinear problems. One of these is perturbation method. Stokes wave and Cnoidal wave are based on the method. The other is numerical method. Dean's stream function theory is based on the method. In this paper, power series method was considered. The power series method can be applied to certain nonlinear differential equations (initial value problems). The series coefficients are specified by a nonlinear recurrence inherited from the differential equation. Because the non-linear wave problem is a boundary value problem, the power series method cannot be applied to the problem in general. But finite number of coefficients is necessary to describe the wave profile, truncated power series is enough. Therefore the power series method can be applied to the problem. In this case, the series coefficients are specified by a set of equations instead of recurrence. By using the set of equations, the nonlinear wave problem has been solved in this paper.

현대 패션에 나타난 대화식 패턴 일러스트레이션의 표션분석 - 인체표현을 중심으로 - (An Expressive Characteristics of Conversational Pattern Illustration in Modern Fashion - Focused on Human Body -)

  • Fashion illustration as conversational pattern which is made up of human and daily story creates brand image and new cultural value in textile design. The purpose of this study is to analyze an expressive characteristics focused on human body in conversational pattern illustration. The method of this study was to analyze documentaries, fashion magazines and internet fashion web site. The results were as follows: The category of body expression was classified as the head, the bust, the whole body, and the others. Most of all, the head is higher frequency than any other part. The category of body type was classified as iconic reappearance and surreal fantasy. The former expressed gender images of woman and man in reality and showed high frequency of 90.41%. Above all, two types were to show the organic correlation between fashion illustration body and brand concept. The construction method of motif was classified as singleness of body, repetition of body, singleness of body and non-body mixed, and repetition of body and non-body mixed. The repetition of body showed low frequency and it was composed of regular repetition construction and irregular construction. The singleness of body and non-body mixed, showed the highest frequency and it was definitely to communicate fashion concept. In these days, conversational pattern illustration in modern fashion pattern strengthens brand identity and informs the fashion image as creative commercial art. And also, it satisfies cultural sensibility of consumer and categorizes public phenomenons in our times.

간호대학생을 위한 다문화 교육 프로그램 개발 및 다문화 감수성, 다문화 효능감에 미치는 효과 (Development of a Multicultural Education Program for Nursing Students and Evaluation of its Effects on Multicultural Sensitivity and Efficacy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a multicultural education program for nursing students and to examine its effects on multicultural sensitivity and efficacy. Methods: A research design for this study was a non-equivalent control group, non-synchronized pre-post test. The experimental group (n=34) participated in a 13-week multicultural education program while the control group (n=35) attended regular classes having no relation with multiculture for the same period as that of the experimental group. Multicultural sensitivity and efficacy were measured before and after the program. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using the PASW 18.0 program. Results: Total scores for multicultural sensitivity and efficacy were significantly increased in the experimental group compared with the control group after the program. The subcategories of multicultural sensitivity; 'respect for cultural differences', 'interaction enjoyment' and multicultural efficacy; 'general functions', 'considering multicultural families' were increased respectively, whereas others were not changed. Conclusion: Based on these results, it can be suggested that a 13-week multicultural education program is effective for improving nursing students' level of multicultural sensitivity and efficacy.

GF($p^m$)상에서 모든 항의 계수가 0이 아닌 기약다항식에 대한 병렬 승산기의 설계 (Design of a Parallel Multiplier for Irreducible Polynomials with All Non-zero Coefficients over GF($p^m$))

  • 본 논문에서는 유한체 GF($P^m$)상에서 모든 항의 계수가 이 아닌 두 다항식의 승산 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 제시된 승산 알고리즘을 이용하여 모듈 구조의 병렬 입-출력 승산기를 구성하였다. 제시된 승산기는 $(m+1)^2$개의 동일한 셀로 구성되었으며, 각각의 셀은 1개의 mod(p) 가산 게이트와 1개의 mod(p) 승산 게이트로 구성되었다. 본 논문에서 제시된 승산기는 클럭이 필요하지 않고 m개의 mod(p) 가산 게이트 지연시간과 1개의 mod(p) 승산 게이트 소자 지연시간만을 필요로 한다. 또한, 제시된 승산기는 규칙성과 셀 배열에 의한 모듈성을 가지므로 VLSI 회로 실현에 적합할 것이다.

Investigation of bar parameters occurred by cross-shore sediment transport

  • Cross-shore sediment transport is very important factor in the design of coastal structures, and the beach profile is mainly affected by a number of parameters, such as wave height and period, beach slope, and the material properties of the bed. In this study cross-shore sediment movement was investigated using a physical model and various offshore bar geometric parameters were determined by the resultant erosion profile. The experiments on cross- shore sediment transport carried out in a laboratory wave channel for initial base slopes of 1/8, 1/10 and 1/15. Using the regular waves with different deep-water wave steepness generated by a pedal-type wave generator, the geometrical of sediment transport rate and considerable characteristics of beach profiles under storm conditions and bar parameters affecting on-off shore sediment transport are investigated for the beach materials with the medium diameter of $d_{50}$=0.25, 0.32, 0.45, 0.62 and 0.80 mm. Non-dimensional equations were obtained by using linear and non-linear regression methods through the experimental data and were compared with previously developed equations in the literature. The results have shown that the experimental data fitted well to the proposed equations with respect to the previously developed equations.

다문화 교과 프로그램이 간호대학생의 다문화 수용성 및 역량에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Multicultural Course on the Multicultural Acceptability and Competency of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of a multicultural course on nursing students' multicultural acceptability and competency. Method: The research design for this study was a non-equivalent control group, non-synchronized pre- and post-test. The experimental group (n=28) took 13 weeks of the multicultural course, while the control group (n=28) received only regular classes over the same period. Pre- and post-tests were done to identify the effects of the program. The data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using the PASW 18.0 program. Results: All indices of multicultural acceptability and competency in the experimental group were significantly higher than that of control group after the program, except for two: universality (a measure of multicultural acceptability) and multicultural awareness (a measure of multicultural competency). Conclusion: These results suggest that the multicultural course was effective in elevating the level of multicultural acceptability and competency among nursing students.
