  • In today’s era of advanced technological developments, the threats to the authenticity and integrity of digital images, in a nutshell, the threats to the Image Forensics Research communities have also increased proportionately. This happened as even for the ‘non-expert’ forgers, the availability of image processing tools has become a cakewalk. This image forgery poses a great problem for judicial authorities in any context of trade and commerce. Block matching based image cloning detection system is widely researched over the last 2-3 decades but this was discouraged by higher computational complexity and more time requirement at the algorithm level. Thus, for reducing time need, various dimension reduction techniques have been employed. Since a single technique cannot cope up with all the transformations like addition of noise, blurring, intensity variation, etc. we employ multiple techniques to a single image. In this paper, we have used Fuzzy logic approach for decision making and getting a global response of all the techniques, since their individual outputs depend on various parameters. Experimental results have given enthusiastic elicitations as regards various transformations to the digital image. Hence this paper proposes Fuzzy based cloning detection and classification system. Experimental results have shown that our detection system achieves classification accuracy of 94.12%. Detection accuracy (DAR) while in case of 81×81 sized copied portion the maximum accuracy achieved is 99.17% as regards subjection to transformations like Blurring, Intensity Variation and Gaussian Noise Addition.

  • The purpose of this study is development of a finite element algorithm to find out the stressed condition, slipped direction and slipped dimension when some elements of cable-membrane structures are slipped from it's initially designed coordinates by external loads as wind or non uniform load and so on. In order to search the slipped behaviors of cable-membrane structures, a Arbitrarily-Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE) finite element formulation is introduced. In these procedures, a stiffness matrix related with ALE concept is formulated and a FE analysis program for cable-membrane structures with slipped elements is developed. Various examples for cable and membrane structures are presented to verify the program's validation. The results are shown good agreement with that of existed one.

  • As the integrated circuit device shrinks to the smaller dimension, the chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process was required for the global planarization of inter-metal dielectric(IMD) layer with free-defect. Polishing pads play a key role in CMP, which has been recognized as a critical step to improve the topography of wafers for semiconductor fabrication. It is investigated the performance of $SiO_2-CMP$ process using commercial silica slurry as a pad conditioning temperature increased after CMP process. This study also showed the change of SEM images in the pore geometry on the CMP pad surface after use with a different pad conditioning temperature.

  • Metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semoiconductor field effect transistor (MFISFETs) were fabricated using CMOS processes. The Pt/SBT/NO combined layers were etched for forming a conformal gate by using Ti/Cr metal masks and a two step etching method, By the method, we were able to fabricate a small-sized gate with the dimension of $16/4{\mu}textrm{m}$ in the width/length of gate. It has been chosen the non-self aligned source and drain implantation process, We have deposited inter-layer dielectrics(ILD) by low pressure chemical vapor deposition(LPCVD) at $380^{circ}C$ after etching the gate structure and the threshold voltage of p-channel MFISFETs were about 1.0 and -2.1V, respectively. It was also observed that the current difference between the $I_{ON}$(on current) and $I_{OFF}$(off current) that is very important in sensing margin, is more that 100 times in $I_{D}-V_{G}$ hysteresis curve.

  • Precast/Prestressed concrete segmental bridges with moderate range of span length normally have a constant section height for economic segment manufacturing. Inside sectional dimension is often controlled for design of non-prismatic section between supports when variable stiffness is required. It is usual, in the preliminary design stage, to adopt trial bridge sections by past experience or by approximately estimated member forces. Three bridge models of different member stiffness have been selected to investigate flexural stiffness effects on member forces for preliminary design stage. The selected bridge stiffness has been determined by the flexibility index from review of the practically usable sections.

  • In this paper, sound pressure sensitivity of the fiber optic acoustic sensor according to sensor direction and mandrel material were investigated experimentally. Three different directions were selected as stand, lay, and hole. Hollow cylinder type mandrel dimension is 30 mm in outer diameter, 45 mm in length, and 2 mm in thickness, and about 50 m optical fibers were wounded on the surface of the mandrel. Non-directional sound speaker was used as a sound source. Sagnac interferometer and single mode fiber, a laser with 1,550 nm in wavelength, $2{\times}2$ coupler were used. Based on the experimental results, lay direction's sensitivity is the highest in the frequency range of 2 kHz~4 kHz. 'PTFE+carbon' material is more sensitive than PTFE in the frequency range of 5 kHz~20 kHz. Sound pressure detection sensitivity depends on the mandrel direction and material under certain frequency.

  • Dental impression materials often become contaminated with patients' saliva and blood which creates the potential for cross-infection. It was the purpose of this study to investigate the effects of disinfection of three different rubber impression materials with four different disinfecting solutions. Polysulfide, vinyl polysiloxane and polyether impression materials were mixed according to the manufacturer's directions and samples were formed on a stainless steel model. On removal from the standard model, impressions were immersed in a disinfectant (acid-potentiated glutaraldehyde, phenollic compound, chlorine compound, iodophor) at room tempera tures for ten minutes. After disinfection, the distance between reference points(linear dimension) was measured using the non-contact automatic cordinate measuring projector(MZ-1, Nikon). Through statistical analyses on the data from this study,. the following conclusions were obtained. 1. Polysulfide, vinyl polysiloxane impressions were disinfected without dimensional change.(p>0.05) 2. Polyether impressions which were immersed in acid-potentiated glutaraldehyde were statistically different from control group.(p<0.05) But the amount of shrinkage(0.04%) would not be clinically significant. 3. By immersion of polysulfide, vinyl polysiloxane, polyether impressions in Banicide, Biocide, Multicide plus, sodium hypochlorite for ten minutes, clinically accurate impressions were obtained without dimensional change.

  • The main aim of this paper is enhancing design of traditional laminated composite plates subjected to static loads. In this regard, this paper suggests embedding a lightweight porous layer in the middle of laminated composite as the core layer of the resulted sandwich plate. The static responses of the suggested structures with uniform, symmetric and non-symmetric porosity distributions are compared to optimize their design. Using the first order shear deformation theories, the static governing equations of the suggested laminated composite plates with a porous layer (LCPPL) rested on two-parameter foundation are obtained. A finite element method is also utilized to solve the governing equations of LCPPLs. Effects of laminated composite and porosity characteristics as well as geometry dimension, edges' boundary conditions and foundation coefficients on the static deflection and stress distribution of the suggested composite plates have been investigated. The results reveal that the use of core between the layers of laminated composites leads to a sharp reduction in the static deflections of LCPPLs. Furthermore, in compare with perfect cores, the use of porous core between the layers of laminated composite plates can offer a considerable reduction in structural weight without a significant difference in their static responses.
