교통소통 정보기반 신호교차로 운영평가를 위한 혼잡강도 지표 임계값 연구 (Study on threshold values of a intensity-of-congestion measure for operations evaluation at signalized intersections based on traffic flow information)

  • PURPOSES : In this study, analyze the characteristics of IOC indicator 'threshold' which is needed when evaluating the traffic signal operation status with ESPRESSO in various grade road traffic environment of Seoul metropolitan city and derive suggested value to use in field practice. METHODS : Using the computerized database program (Postgresql), we extracted data with regional characteristics (Arterial, Collector road) and temporal characteristics (peak hour, non-peak hour). Analysis of variance and Duncan's validation were performed using statistical analysis program (SPSS) to confirm whether the extracted data contains statistical significance. RESULTS : The analysis period of the main and secondary arterial roads was confirmed to be suitable from 14 days to 60 days. For the arterial, it is suggested to use 20 km/h as the critical speed for PM peak hour and weekly non peak hour. It is suggested to use 25 km/h as the critical speed for AM peak hour and night non peak hour. As for the collector road, it is suggested to use 20 km/h as the critical speed for PM peak hour and weekly non peak hour. It is suggested to use 30 km/h as the critical speed for AM peak hour and night non peak hour. CONCLUSIONS : It is meaningful from a methodological point of view that it is possible to make a reasonable comparative analysis on the signal intersection pre-post analysis when the signal operation DB is renewed by breaking the existing traffic signal operation evaluation method.

비이진 연관행렬 기반의 부품-기계 그룹핑을 위한 효과적인 인공신경망 접근법 (Effective Artificial Neural Network Approach for Non-Binary Incidence Matrix-Based Part-Machine Grouping)

  • This paper proposes an effective approach for the part-machine grouping(PMG) based on the non-binary part-machine incidence matrix in which real manufacturing factors such as the operation sequences with multiple visits to the same machine and production volumes of parts are incorporated and each entry represents actual moves due to different operation sequences. The proposed approach adopts Fuzzy ART neural network to quickly create the Initial part families and their machine cells. A new performance measure to evaluate and compare the goodness of non-binary block diagonal solution is suggested. To enhance the poor solution due to category proliferation inherent to most artificial neural networks, a supplementary procedure reassigning parts and machines is added. To show effectiveness of the proposed approach to large-size PMG problems, a psuedo-replicated clustering procedure is designed. Experimental results with intermediate to large-size data sets show effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • Cycloconverters can be classified into two types by the main circuit configuration. One is the non- circulating current type required the dead time the other is circulating current type which has the circulating current reactors. The switching devices were highly stressed by the load voltages during dead time on non-circulating current type operation and the circulating currents on circulating current type operation. The overcome those problems, this paper proposes the switching patterns for the partial and the non circulation current type. The PWM methods, which are saw wave comparing method and load current integrating value comparing method, are presented.

우심증 [S.D.L.] 및 우심실 복형출구증 [DORV] 이 동반된 선천성 심기형의 수술치험 1예 (Successful Surgical Correction of Dextrocardia Associated with Double Outlet Right Ventricle and Ventricular Non Inversion [S.D.L.]: A Case Report)

  • Within the group of congenital cardiac anomalies manifesting dextrocardia and double-outlet right ventricle, ventricular non-inversion [S.D.L] is extremely rare. Recently, a 5 year-old boy underwent a successful surgical correction of dextrocardia associated with double-outlet right ventricle, ventricular non-inversion [S.D], ventricular septal defect, pulmonary stenosis, and patent foramen ovale. The operation consisted of construction of an internal baffle connecting the left ventricle to the aorta through the large ventricular septal defect [subaortic]. The pulmonary stenosis was managed by infundibulectomy and patch enlargement of the right ventricular wall. The patient`s postoperative recovery has been uneventful, and 2 months after the operation, he is doing well.

  • The Communication Based Train Control(CBTC) System generally used to improving existing lines in the world is efficient and stable for improvement. Also it is efficient for improvement because it does not cause any problems in operation of existing lines. We examined the mixed operation scheme for more efficient and stable improvement when improvement is implemented depending on aged equipment and the increased number of passengers in the Korean city railroad. The biggest point in the mixed operation is to implement a stable test without interfering with the operation of the existing lines. For this purpose, we deduced a method of installing the equipment, a method of testing depending on the installed equipment, and the types of mixed operation, and presented a scheme of execution of the methods depending on the mixed operation.

기후변화의 비정상성 대비 댐 운영 개선을 위한 Robust-SDP의 개발 (Development of Robust-SDP for improving dam operation to cope with non-stationarity of climate change)

  • 기존의 저수지 운영 연구들은 미래의 기후가 과거와 유사하다는 정상성의 가정을 전제로 하였다. 하지만 기후의 비정상성으로 인해 불확실성이 더욱 커질 경우에는 큰 불확실성에서도 안정된 최적해를 찾을 수 있는 로버스트 최적화 과정(Robust Optimization, 이하 RO)이 필요하다고 알려져 있다. RO는 입력자료의 비정상성으로 인해 야기되는 불확실성을 제어하는 로버스트 항을 목적함수에 추가하여 기존의 최적화 방법을 개선한다. 본 연구는 기후변화의 비정상성을 대비하는 저수지 운영규칙 산정을 위해 추계학적동적계획법(Stochastic Dynamic Programing, 이하 SDP)과 RO를 결합하는 Robust-SDP를 제안하였고, 이를 최근 4년간 가뭄을 겪었던 보령댐에 적용하였다. 즉, 비정상성이 반영된 미래 유입량 자료를 생성하고 이를 6가지의 평가지표와 2가지의 의사결정 지원그림을 사용하여 과거 유입량 자료로부터 산출된 저수지 운영규칙의 수행능력을 평가하였다. 그 결과, Robust-SDP가 기후의 비정상성 하에서 극단적인 물 부족 사건의 발생률과 물 부족 사건의 실패의 크기를 감소시켰지만, 작은 크기의 물 부족 발생률은 증가하는 상충관계(trade-off)를 가져옴을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 의사결정자가 우선시하는 평가지표의 결과에 따라 최적화 모형을 선택할 수 있음을 제안하였다.

DC Microgrid Operational Method for Enhanced Service Reliability Using DC Bus Signaling

  • This paper proposes a DC microgrid operational strategy and control method for improved service reliability. The objective is to supply power to as many non-critical loads as possible, while providing an uninterrupted power supply to critical loads. The DC bus signaling method, in which DC voltage is an information carrier, is employed to implement the operational strategy in a decentralized manner. During grid-connected operation, a grid-tied converter balances the power of the microgrid by controlling the DC voltage. All loads are connected to the microgrid, and operate normally. During islanded operation, distributed generators (DGs), a backup generator, or an energy storage system balances the power. However, some non-critical loads may be disconnected from the microgrid to ensure the uninterrupted power supply to critical loads. For enhanced service reliability, disconnected loads can be automatically reconnected if certain conditions are satisfied. Control rules are proposed for all devices, and detailed microgrid operational modes and transition conditions are then discussed. Additionally, methods to determine control parameter settings are proposed. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation results demonstrate the performance and effectiveness of the proposed operational strategy and control method.

불응축가스 주입량에 따른 VCHP의 열제어 특성 (Analysis of Thermal Control Characteristics of VCHP by the Charging Mass of Non-Condensible Gas)

  • This study has been performed to investigate the thermal performance of variable conductance heat pipe (VCHP) with meshed wick. The length of condenser portion in a VCHP is varied by the expansion of inert gas with the operation temperature, and the heat transport capacity is thus varied with the operating temperature. In this study, numerical evaluation of the VCHP is made for the thermal performance of VCHP, based on the diffusion model of inert gas. Water is used as a working fluid and nitrogen as a control inert gas in the copper tube. As a result, the thermal performance of VCHP has been compared with that of constant conductance heat pipe (CCHP) according to the variation of operation temperature. Maximum heat transport capacity of VCHP is mainly presented for operation temperature and the variation of operation temperature is also presented for heat transfer rate of VCHP.

  • As the development of the 4th industiral revolution in the maritime industry has progressed, the technical development of autonomous ships, and the development of international regulations have been accelerated. In particular, the IMO Maritime Safety Committee(MSC) has established a road-map for the development of the non-mandatory goal-based MASS instrument(MASS Code) and started developing a non-mandatory MASS Code at MSC 105th meeting. Many countries are actively participating in the Correspondence Group on the development of MASS Code, and the development of detailed requirements for MASS functions in the MASS Code is underway. Especially, the concept of "Mode of Operation" for MASS functions was mentioned in the Correspondence Group for the first time, and it is expected that discussions on these modes will be conducted from the IMO MASS JWG meeting to held in April 2023. The concept of "Mode of Operation" will be useful in explaining MASS and MASS functions and will be discussed in the future for the development of MASS Code. This paper reviews the contents of the IMCA M 220 document, which provides guidelines on operating modes, to conduct research on the benchmark for setting the operating modes of MASS.

분진 및 풍속에 따른 광전식연기감지기 챔버의 응답특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Response Characteristics of Photoelectric Type Smoke Detector Chamber Due to Dust and Wind Velocity)

  • 본 논문은 분진 및 풍속에 따른 연기감지기 챔버의 응답특성에 관한 연구이다. 연기감지기가 실내에 적용됨으로 인해 화재의 조기감지 측면에서는 나아졌으나, 실내에서 발생되는 다양한 생활먼지 및 환경적인 요건 등에 의해 발생될 수 있는 부작동 및 오작동에 대한 연구는 미비한 편이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 다양한 분진 및 풍속에 따른 연기감지기의 실내적응성을 연구하기 위해 연기챔버의 형태 및 구조가 다른 4종류의 광전식연기감지기를 실험대상으로 하고, 플라이애시, 활석가루 그리고 섬유분진(흑채가루)을 실험시료로 하여 분진시험을 진행하였다. 또한 연기챔버 내의 오염도에 따른 응답특성을 관찰하기 위해 추가적으로 분진시험 풍속을 0.25 m/s, 0.5 m/s, 1.0 m/s로 설정하여 인가하였다. 실험결과 플라이애시 및 활석가루, 섬유분진의 경우 분진시험 기준풍속조건인 0.25 m/s에서는 분진인가 후 작동시험 및 부작동시험에서 모두 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 가혹풍속조건인 0.5 m/s 및 1.0 m/s에서는 플라이애시 및 활석가루의 경우 부작동시험에서 비화재보인 오작동이 나타났고, 섬유분진의 경우 작동시험에서 정상적으로 작동되지 않아 부작동이 발생하는 것으로 확인되었다.
