직류전동차 탑재용 피뢰기의 최적선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Selection of Lightning Arresters for DC Electric Traction Vehicles)

  • In this paper, we proposed a selection and application recommendations of ZnO arresters for DC electric traction vehicles. To decide the Continuous Operating Voltage($U_C$), the Rated Voltage($U_r$), and the Nominal Discharge Current(In), we measured and analyzed system voltages and surge currents flowing the arrester installed on a DC electric traction vehicle under running state. System voltages measured up to 1,800 V in 1,500 V-system, and surge currents were recorded up to 3 times per a running-service-route and their magnitudes were ranges of $150A{\sim}2kA$. From these results and a standard EN50163, we could proposed $U_C$, $U_r$, and In available for the 1,500 VDC electric traction vehicles.

주택용 BESS에 적용하기 위한 재활용 셀의 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance of Recycled Cells for application to Residential BESS)

  • 주택용 BESS에 적용하기 위한 재활용 셀 성능을 파악하기 위해 지난 5년 동안 사용한 셀을 선택하였다. 시험에 사용된 셀의 기본 사양은 공칭 전압이 3.7[V], 공칭 용량이 2,200[mAh], 충전 전압이 4.05[V], 연속방전전류가 1[C](2,200[mA]), 연속충전전류가 0.5[C](1,100[mA]) 이다. 새 셀의 경우 내부저항은 21.3±1[mΩ]인데, 재활용 셀의 경우 평균 내부저항이 25.38[mΩ]로 나타나 약 19.1[%] 상승하였다. 충·방전 용량은 새 셀에 비해 약 18.9~19.3[%] 정도 낮게 나타났다. 내부저항과 충·방전 용량이 셀의 노화에 상호 밀접하게 연관되어 있으므로 BESS에 적용할 셀은 초기 내부저항보다 1.5배 이하이고 70[%] 이상의 충·방전 용량 성능을 갖는 제품을 사용할 필요가 있다.

ZnO 나노분말로 제조한 Bi계 바리스터의 써지내량 특성 (Characteristics on the Surge Capability of Bi-based Varistor Fabricated with ZnO Nano-powder)

  • Bi-based nano-varistors and micro-varistors fabricated with each ZnO nano-powder and micro-powder were studied about characteristics on the surge capability in this study. ZnO nano-varistors were sintered in air at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr. The voltage-current and residual voltage properties of ZnO nano-varistor were compared with their of ZnO micrio-varistor. As a result of these properties, our ZnO nano-varistor has about 3 times at operating voltage as compared with conventional ZnO varistor fabricated with micro-powder and the residual voltage was 8.06 kV at nominal discharge current 101kA in the lighting impulse current test. And then the residual voltage rate 1.72 of our nano-varistor has had better performance than the 1.79 of micro-varistor because ZnO nano-varistor has shown much quick response property because of increasing effective cross-section area. Also, to analysis surge capability took thermal images for pyrexia temperature distribution with each of the varistors after operating varistors. Nano-varistor doesn't have shown local overheating and can confirm accurate temperature grade on the surface of its.

  • Selection and application recommendations of lightning arresters for DC electric traction vehicles are presented. To decide arrester specification such as continuous operating voltage(COV, $U_c$), rated voltage($U_R$), and nominal discharge current($I_n$), variations of system voltage and surge currents flowing arresters were analyzed in running-service of traction vehicles. System voltages increased up to 1,800V during anti-breaking. Surge currents recorded 3 times per running-service-route and their magnitudes were ranges of $150A{\sim}2kA$. From the field measurement and consideration of EN50163, COV, $U_c$, and $U_R$ for the $1,500V_{DC}$ traction vehicles were proposed.

  • This study evaluated electrical characteristics of the manufactured arcing horn whose rated voltage and nominal discharge current were 18kV and 2.5kA, respectively. In this study, residual voltage and lightning impulse flashover voltage were examined. The arcing horn showed excellent electrical characteristics that residual voltage and lightning impulse flashover voltage were 55kV below and 121kV at 115mm, respectively. Therefore the manufactured arcing Horn is considered that it would show good performance for protecting electrical wires and line post insulators from lightning impulse, if it were applied to real fields.

  • 리튬 이온 폴리머 전지의 사이클에 의한 용량 감소를 예측할 수 있는 1차원 모델링을 수행하였다. 이 연구에 사용된 수학적 모델에서는 전지 셀에서의 전기화학반응 속도론, 이온의 전달현상, 용량 감소 반응(parasitic reaction)을 고려하였다. 모델링의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위하여 LG화학에서 개발된 5Ah 급 리튬 이온 폴리머 전지의 사이클 성능을 측정하여 얻은 결과와 모델링의 결과를 비교하였다. 사이클 시험은 정전류 방전과 정전류-정전압 충전을 수행하였다. 방전 시험은 1C로 수행하였다. 충전상태(state of charge; SOC)의 범위는 1부터 0.2 사이에서 수행하였다. 충전실험은 정전류-정전압 방법으로(제한전류 10C, 제한전압 4.2 V) 수행하였고, 정전압 충전일 때 충전 전류가 50 mA에 도달하면 시험을 종료하였다. 전지의 용량측정은 사이클 시험이 시작전과 100 사이클마다 1C와 5C에서 용량을 측정하였다. 모델링에 근거하여 얻은 결과와 시험결과가 잘 일치하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 TVC 배터리의 설계 개념, 특성과 환경 및 성능 시험 결과에 대해 간략히 보인다 KSLV-I 상단에 탑재되는 TVC 배터리는 168개의 소니 18650VT 고전력 리튬이온 셀을 사용하며, 84개의 셀을 직렬로 구성한 후 각 열을 병렬로 2개 연결하여 추력 벡터제어(TVC) 시스템의 미션에 요구되는 전압(공칭 270V)과 전류를 공급한다. TVC 시스템의 부하 특성은 짧은 시간 동안 높은 전류 출력을 요구하는 펄스의 형태를 가진다. 무게를 최소화하며 시스템 요구 전력을 공급하기 위해 18650VT 셀을 적용하였다. 18650VT 셀은 고전력 응용분야를 위해 설계된 모델로 10C 연속 방전 능력을 갖고 있다.

4.16kV 및 6.6kV 전동기 고정자 권선의 절연열화 판정기준 (Judgement Criterion of Insulation Deterioration in 4.16kV and 6.6kV Motor Stator Windings)

  • To assess the condition of stator insulation, nondestructive tests were performed on twenty five coil groups and twenty six motors. The stator windings has nominal ratings of 6.6kV and are classified into five coil groups ;one group with healthy insulation and four groups with four different types of artificial defects. After completing nondestructive tests, the AC voltage applied to the stator windings was gradually increasing until insulation failure in order to obtain the breakdown voltage. No.1, No.2 and No.6 of 6.6kV motors failed near rated voltage of 14kV, 8.7kV and 14kV, respectively. The breakdown voltage of three motors was lower that expected for good quality coils(14.2kV) in 6.6kV motors. No.3 and No.6 of 4.16kV motors failed near rated voltage of 5.6kV and 4.2kV, respectively. Almost all of failures were located in a line-end coil at the exit from the core slot. The breakdown voltages and the types of defects showed strong relation to the stator insulation tests such as in the case of AC current, dissipation factor(tan${\delta}$) and partial discharge magnitude.

The stator windings under these tests have nominal ratings of 6.6 kV.
