In this study, we have examined the multi-level QPRS system in point of error rate, which requires narrow bandwidth and has Little ISI. The generalized error rate equations of multi-level QPRS signal have been derived in the presence of Gaussian noise and co-channel CW interference. And the error rate performance of 9, 49, 225 QPRS system is investigated as parameters of carrier power-to-noise power, carrier power-to -interference power. Also, we have investigated the effect of carrier offset.

This paper presents the investigation of the theoretical symbol error performances of an M-ary differential phase-shift-keyed(DPSK) system in an interference environment. A simple method is transmitted over a nondistroting channel, but additively corrupted by Gaussian noise and cochannel interference. Computed DPSK symbol error performance results for M=2, 4, and 8 are compared with the corresponding curves for coherent phase-shift-Keyed(CPSK) system as a function of carrier-to-noise power ratio(CNR) with carrier-to-interferer power ratio(CIR) as a parameter. Comparisons between DPSK systems reveal, as we might expect, that DPSK system suffers more degradation.

In this paper, we propose a residual echo and noise reduction scheme for hands-free telephony applications. The proposed algorithm uses a noise robust modified AP algorithm which estimate well echo path in noisy and whitens residual echo signal using linear prediction at non double-talk duration. It is confirmed that the proposed algorithm shows better performance from acoustic interference cancellation (AIC) viewpoint.

This paper investigates the insertion loss of nosie barrier with a intereference device. The efficiency of the conventional intereference-type noise barrier depends on specific frequency. Thus this study is performed to improve the efficiency of the rosie barrier in the range of broadband frequency, by changing the shape of intereference device and adding the channel with various depths. The boundary element method (BEM) is used to predict the insertion loss of noise barrier. (omitted)

OFDM/FH communication system Is widely used in the wireless communication for the large capacity and high-speed data transmission. However, phase noise and PAPR (peak-to-average power ratio) are the serious problems causing performance impairment. In this paper, PLL (phase locked loop) frequency synthesizer with high switching speed is used for the phase noise model. SSPA and TWTA are considered for the nonlinear HPA model. Under these conditions and by approximating $e^{j{\phi}[m]}$ into $1 + j{\phi}[m]-\frac{1}{2}{\phi}^2[m]$ for the phase noise nonlinear approximation, SINR (signal-to-interference-noise-ratio) with nonlinear HPA and phase noise is derived in the OFDM/FH system. The bit error probabilities (BER) are found by computer simulation method and semi-analytical method. The simulation results closely match with the semi-analytical results.

The advanced receiver which can manage inter-cell interference is required to cope with the explosively increasing mobile data traffic. 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has discussed network assisted interference cancellation and suppression (NAICS) to improve signal-to-noise-plus-interference ratio (SINR) and receiver performance by suppression or cancellation of interference signal from inter-cells. In this paper, we propose the novel hybrid receiver Full Suppression Cancellation (FSC) to reduce the interference from neighbor cell in backhaul system. The proposed receiver can suppress and cancel the interference by combining Interference Rejection Combining (IRC) with Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC). We perform the system level simulation based on 20MHz bandwidth of 3GPP LTE-Advanced system. Simulation results show that the proposed receiver can improve error rate and throughput of conventional system.

DS/CDMA system rejected narrow-band interference and additional White Gaussian noise which are occured at multipath, intentional jammer and multiuser to share same bandwidth in mobile communication systems. Because of having not sufficiently obtained processing gain which is related to system performance, they were not effectively suppressed. In this paper, an matched filter channel model using backpropagation neural network based on complex multilayer perceptron is presented for suppressing interference of narrow-band of direct sequence spread spectrum receiver in DS/CDMA mobile communication systems. Recursive least square backpropagation algorithm with backpropagation error is used for fast convergence and better performance in matched filter receiver scheme. According to signal noise ratio and transmission power ratio, computer simulation results show that bit error ratio of matched filter using backpropagation neural network improved than that of RAKE receiver of direct sequence spread spectrum considering of con-channel and narrow-band interference.
We propose a new optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) scheme for reducing multiple access interference (MAI) and enhancing performance for optical subscriber access networks using modified pseudorandom noise (PN)-coded fiber Bragg gratings with bipolar OCDMA decoders. Through the bipolar OCDMA decoder and the modified PN codes, MAI among users is effectively depressed. As the data are encoded either by a unipolar signature sequence of the modified PN code or its complement according to whether the data bit is 1 or 0, the bit error ratio (BER) can be more improved with the same signal to interference plus noise ratio over the conventional on-off shift keying-based OCDMA system. We prove by numerical analysis that the BER of the proposed bipolar OCDMA system is better than the conventional unipolar OCDMA system. We also analyze the spectral power distortion effects of the broadband light source.

Adaptive arrays have been proposed as an effective means of mitigating Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and improving the performance of existing and future wireless communication systems. In this paper, we apply the analytical method proposed to analyse the theoretical Mean Bit Error Rate (BER) of an uncoded IS-95 based CDMA system with an array antenna at the BS in a Ricean fading environment. We present a modified expression for the Signal to Interference plus Noise (SINR) ratio as a function of the number of users, number of antennas and noise levels. We also verify the analytical results by means of simulations by considering different user and channel scenarios.
Passive sonars employ DEMON(Detection of Envelope Modulation on Noise) processing to extract propeller information from the radiated noise of underwater targets. However, the conventional DEMON processing suffers from the interference of tonal signals because it extracts propeller signals and some types of tonal signals as well. If there are some tonals in the frequency band for DEMON processing, the conventional DEMON processing may additionally extract frequency informations originated from the interaction between different tonals. In this paper, we propose a modified DEMON processing, which can eliminate the interference of the tonals. The proposed algorithm removes tonals in DEMON processing band before demodulation processing, hence results the robustness to the interference of the tonals. Some numerical simulations demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed algorithm against the conventional algorithm.
