음향방출 계측에 의한 터빈 제어밸브 내부누설 평가연구 (Study on Evaluation of Internal Leak of Turbine Control Valve in Power Plant Using Acoustic Emission Signal Measurement)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify availability of the acoustic emission in-situ monitoring method to the internal leak and operating conditions of the turbine major valves relating to safety for turbine operating and prevention of turbine trouble at nuclear power plants. In this study, acoustic emission tests are performed when the pressurized electro-hydraulic control oil flowed through turbine electro-hydraulic controller oil check valve and turbine power/trip fluid solenoid valve in the condition of actual turbine operating. The acoustic emission method was applied to the valves at the site, and the background noise was measured far the abnormal plant condition. To judge for the leak existence ell the object valves, voltage analysis and frequency analysis of acoustic signal emitted from infernal leak in the valve operating condition are performed. It was conformed that acoustic emission method could monitor for valve internal leak to high sensitivity.

  • Locations and emission characteristics of noise source of rapier loom are important factors greatly. So, noise characteristics of rapier loom were investigated by the noise source identification as a part of experimental methods in this study. To identify the noise sources of the rapier loom sound intensity was measured under machine operation. In addition, frequency spectra of the sound at operator position was measured along with sound intensity to help identify the noise characteristics of the rapier loom. The results indicate that the sound power level occurs along the rapier loom.

  • In this work, the mechanism of structure-borne noise resulting from vibration of a compressor for a refrigerator is experimentally analyzed and an effective method is proposed to reduce the noise. Firstly, the emission noise, when the compressor is turned on and off, is measured and analyzed to identify the generation mechanism of structure-borne noise. And the acceleration on the outer wall of the refrigerator is also analyzed to identify the distribution of vibration. Secondly, an effective design method to reduce the noise is suggested by using the finite element analysis and Taguchi method. Consequently an optimal design of the refrigerator, which has lower noise, is obtained and then its performance and validity are verified through the analysis and test.

  • The overall noise reduction was compared in regard to the vibrational characteristics of floor impact noise in a multi story residential building which has several noise reduction treatments. The vibration through its structural elements such as wall, floor and ceiling and sound emitting were investigated for each insulation treatment. It was found that, in case of heavy-weight impact noise, the vibration energy is emitted mostly from ceiling, but for the light-weight impact noise, most of the energy comes through ceiling and walls. That is, the vibration of a ceiling is the main factor that determines the frequency characteristics of the transmitting noise to lower floors.

The Effect of the Exposed Aggregate Concrete Pavement on the Reducing Traffic Noise Emission

  • Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavements are more durable and have superior surface friction compared to most dense-graded asphalt. However, data collected to date generally show PCC pavements to create more noise than asphaltic surfaces. Recent research has shown that some of the new concrete pavement textures are worthy of further examination. One of these, exposed aggregate surfaces, appear to provide better noise quality characteristics as well as good frictional characteristics and durability. In this paper, we considered the relationship between noise level and various textures of exposed aggregate concrete (EAC) pavement by tire impact noise measurement. As the results of that, it was suggested that optimum surface texture and manufacturing condition of EAC in order to reduce tire and pavement interaction noise. Conclusively, we would like to recommend optimum condition of EAC pavement at the respects of materials and treatment. Furthermore, Frequency spectrum as well as A-weighted noise level was also evaluated to analyze properties of noise between PCC and EAC.

직류전동기 브러시 섬락에 따른 기계적 노이즈 신호의 주파수 분포 (Frequency Distribution of Mechanical Noise Signals for Ultrasonic Wave and AE Sensor with Brush Spark of DC Motor)

  • 본 연구에서는 운전중인 직류전동기의 브러시를 임의로 회전하여 브러시와 정류자편에 불꽃을 발생시켰을 때, 초음파센서와 AE센서를 이용하여 각각의 기계적 노이즈 신호를 검출하였으며, 이를 주파수 스펙트럼으로 분석하였다. 또한 직류전동기의 브러시가 중성축에 정상적으로 위치하여 운전하고 있을 때, 초음파센서와 AE센서를 이용하여 각각의 자기적 노이즈 신호를 검출하였으며, 이를 주파수 스펙트럼으로 분석하였다. 그리고 직류전동기의 브러시를 임의로 회전한 경우의 기계적 노이즈 신호 및 브러시가 중성축에 위치한 경우의 자기적 노이즈 신호를 비교ㆍ분석하였다. 실험 결과, 운전중인 직류전동기의 브러시를 회전방향으로 임의로 회전하여 검출한 초음파의 기계적 노이즈 신호는 브러시가 중성축에 정상적으로 위치하여 검출한 초음파의 자기적 노이즈 신호보다 대략 2.5∼3.0배 증가되었다. 또한 운전중인 직류전동기의 브러시를 회전방향으로 임의로 회전하여 불꽃을 발생시켰을 때, AE의 기계적 노이즈 신호를 검출하여 주파수 스펙트럼으로 분석한 결과 주된 주파수 영역이 대략 1.3[MHz]∼l.5[MHz]인 것으로 나타났다
